Goood morning....I'm up early to let the dog out and then having some breakfast....my going out to Mickey D's days are over since I have become rotund.....pants ara all a tight fit......

Went in to church then stopped at a new Whole Foods food store to check it out....they had Golden Beets which I had never even heard of and the rest of their veggies were quite impressive as were the prices. I guess you have to be rich to eat healthy.....

More later....hope you enjoy your day off Guru's....

The term most people use for Whole Foods is "Whole Wallet".

But the major grocery chain stores around here are just as bad.

BOGO is a what I employ in the hunt for groceries. We have our freezers packed with meat, freezable fruits and vegetables and junk food. We're staying away from the grocery stores and using what we have stored. Enough for over a month. I know one item we're gonna need soon though ......

My wife went to the show but not before messing with my head, then sonny boy dropped by for a little discussion.
Sue's cousin was here for a couple days but is gone now. The house is empty now except for me and the pets. ........ Almost Paradise

I keep that stocked up. Yes it costs a lot to eat healthy - strange since they don't do near as much to the foods. Saw a vid yesterday of a girl trying to grow a sweet potato from the store - it wouldn't, had bug nip on it, the organic one wasn't any better really - one from a local farmer did great. The chemicals go through the entire thing no wonder we all got cancers. Then saw another of a person doing an experiment with how a plant grew with water that was boiled to sanitize as opposed to microwaving it. Nuking apparently changes molecular structure so the body no longer recognizes what it's ingesting and surrounds stuff with fat cells they say. Makes sense. Her boiled water plant grew, the other didn't.
Scary stuff.

Happy Birthday, Tom!

I think what makes the vegetables expensive is the people that sell the seed , fertilizer and do the soil sampling.

Good morning, Gurus! I woke up at 5:04 to answer nature's call and thought, "Arghhhh, the alarm clock is going to go off in 11 minutes!". As I was shuffling to the bathroom, it dawned on me that today is Sunday. So just to prove that Sunday is a day of rest, I got right down to business and slept until 10:30. I see that it is going to be 42 today, which is almost 70 degrees warmer than it was a week ago. That is why we live here - a thermometer isn't nearly as entertaining in, say, San Diego.

And Happy Birthday, Tom! The thing I have noticed as I get older is that when I'm filling out a web form where I have to select my birth year, it takes longer to scroll down to it.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Good Morning CGs!

Got to sleep in a little bit today. We were at the party late, got home at 2:30 am. Haven't done that in a long time. We have another party this afternoon, a Christening for our cousin's baby.

Happy Bday, TB.

Hope everyone has a great day!

There will be some drinking but not much by me. I've pretty much grown out of that. I had 1/2 a beer and two half full shots last night. Probably won't drink at all today, maybe one. I'm also on a clean diet for weight lifting so no soda, alcohol, etc.

I just replaced one of the smoke detector batteries today because it was beeping. Battery date said best before 1/2005, so I figure it was original from when they built the house in 2001/2002. Guess we got our money's worth out of that one. I usually replace them with the lithium batteries that last 5+ years, but I had to order some more. So the regular duracell I put in will have to do for now.
