The last crop of squash across the street was supposed to be the last crop planted but they squeezed in one last crop I guess. Not sure what it is yet. The surveyors were out again today measuring and marking. The builder has to be getting close to breaking ground I would think. I'll just have to enjoy the view while I can. I'm gonna enjoy it later too when I build a huge wall of plants to further secure our privacy.

Very cool! Tommy should plant one of those to block the view of his impending neighbors.

So we have been planning on repainting the living room, kitchen, and dining room. My wife said to me this morning when we repaint I want to get a new couch for the living room. Coincidentally, while we were out shopping for other items we found the new couch. Guess I will be picking that up later tonight.

Speaking of a couch, back when I was working we had this customer that was so large she looked like a piece of furniture. A couch. We used to say that if she checked between the folds of her skin she'd probably find loose change, lint, old snack foods and a host of other things that get lost in the furniture. Ah yes ..... The couch lady.

If I remember correctly he had about a 4 hour commute, one way. That and he had to actually do some work so there wasn't any time to check in on the boards. Hope you're doing alright Don. You're ears should be ringing right about now.

So I did pick up the couch. Turned into a small issue. When we got the box it was pretty beat up. Got it home and found three tiny scratches in the leather where the color was scraped off. Called the store and got a 20% discount, it's the last one they had. Good enough for me. Can't notice the scratches anyway, they are on the back.

Decided that the painting needs to happen sooner rather than later. I put three color test spots on the wall from paint I already had in the basement. Wife didn't like any of them for that room. Changed direction and I have decided to paint it light blue like the front room while leaving the fireplace wall dark brown for an accent. The kitchen and dining room will be a sage color. I started the repair work on the wall tonight already. The kids destroyed it over the past few years by banging the rocking chair/recliner into the drywall over and over and over and gouging it up. Oh well. I am a semipro at drywall repair by now.

Do couches fall under a subcategory of chairs, or vice-versa? Perhaps we have to rename you Secretary of Seating.

Good evening! Still Friday here! Just wanted to pop in to say hello! Thursday is baking day, and Friday my shop opens. I usually have mellow evening, but I had to do some more baking tonight for a special private event at the marketplace tomorrow. Tonight was Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mor Mor (a quad beer) Chocolate Cake, and Malbec Chocolate Cake.
