Good Morning CGs!

Happy Independence Day to everyone. We watched the local fireworks from the driveway last night and the kids had some sparklers. The neighbor came over and brought an arsenal of fireworks with him, as well, so he lit them off for a mini-show. Out neighborhood is pretty good, no one calls the police for little fireworks. Technically anything that explodes in IL is illegal, so you have to drive to IN or WI to get anything like that. Tonight we are going to a BBQ across the street as well.

TB - I read your C6 got sold, that's too bad. But good luck with your sale and then you will be free to look some more without restrictions.

Marcus - as far at the joists, the house was built in the 70s. The house is a split level with a crawl under the raised portion. There was a main support beam, but it wasn't bulky or strong enough so the house sagged slightly in the middle. My BIL is a construction guy, so he's remodeling the whole house anyway. They replaced the old wood support with a metal I-beam.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys....Matt, the guy didn't "low ball" me, as a matter of fact he didn't ever say exactly what he'd give me, but indicated a wholesale price. I'm not letting it go for a wholesale price. I told him I was a little flexible on the price but not that flexible. Maybe he'll call back with a more realistic offer.

Rosie, daughter, SIL, and three granddaughters are all at the 5k walk/run. I'm here with grandson. He's watching Legos movie. At 10 o'clock we have the big parade to go to. Other than that, I don't have much planned.

Went to the Firecracker Frenzy last night....it was the first year they had it synchronized to music so we sat in the car with the radio tuned to the local AM radio station and said ooh and ahh a lot.....small town Nebraska gotta love it...

Got all the mowing and trimming done yesterday so may spend some time on the GS today. The front end is a mess of bugs right now....

You all have a safe 4th....its a great Country no matter who is at the top trying to ruin it......

Good morning, all!

Arthur is coming up the east coast (about 200 miles away as of 10:00 AM) but he looks like he's just going to side-swipe us in the Philadelphia area. We'll get rain for several hours, but not much else.

Have a glorious Fourth!

Nappy 4th of July, Gurus! Hard to believe it is here already. And only 173 more shopping days until Christmas. We're going to a BBQ at a friend's this afternoon (I'm bringing my Beatles cornhole boards, so we can have a death match), then off to watch the city's fireworks. Pretty typical holiday fare.

Enjoy the 4th, yawlz!

The parade had about 20 Corvette's, one an Atomic orange just like the one I tried to buy. It was sure pretty. Still need to sell mine though. After the parade we went to a local eatery . Then a little later we al go over to the other daughters' for BBQ this evening. Then fireworks once it gets dark.
