Good morning gang.

My day off today and I'm glad it's nice day.

Sunny here this morning. It should be a nice day today with temps in the 20's.

Let's get today started shall we.

Word of the Day Friday, November 21, 2014.

bovarism \ BOH-vuh-riz-uhm \, noun;

1.an exaggerated, especially glamorized, estimate of oneself; conceit.

Origin:
Bovarism is derived from the name of the titular character in Gustave Flaubert's 1857 novel, Madame Bovary . The theory of bovarysm was developed by the French philosopher Jules de Gaultier; the term entered English the early 1900s.

Today is NATIONAL STUFFING DAY

November 21 is the perfect day to celebrate National Stuffing Day as Thanksgiving day is right around the corner and we are already thinking about the delicious turkey stuffing that is a traditional part of Thanksgiving dinner.

While cooking (specifically for poultry), stuffing (also known as dressing or filling) is a mixture, often a starch, used to fill a cavity in another food item. However, there are many foods that are prepared stuffed such as different meats, vegetables, eggs and etc.

The typical turkey stuffing consists of bread cubes or crumbs combined with onions, celery, salt and pepper along with spices and herbs such as summer savory, sage or poultry seasoning. Other varieties include adding sausage, hamburger, tofu, oysters, egg, rice, apple, raisins or other dried fruits.

The first known documented stuffing recipes appeared in the Roman cookbook, Apicius “De Re Coquinaria”. Most of the stuffing recipes in this cookbook included vegetables, herbs and spices, nuts and spelt (an old cereal) with some of them also including chopped liver and other organ meat.

In addition to stuffing the body cavity of poultry and fish, various cuts of meat are often stuffed once deboned and having a pouch or slit cut in them. A few examples of other meats that are frequently stuffed include: stuffed pork chops, stuffed meatloaf, stuffed meatballs, stuffed chicken breast, stuffed lamb chops and stuffed beef tenderloin.

Popular vegetables that are prepared stuffed include, but are not limited to, are: tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and cabbage.

Happy National Stuffing Day!

NATIONAL STUFFING DAY HISTORY

Within our research, we were unable to find the creator and origin of National Stuffing Day, an “unofficial” national holiday.

Bondja o!

Mmmmm, stuffing - the countdown is on! Meanwhile, looks like it's gonna warm up for the weekend - tomorrow we will finally break the streak of 12 days in a row below freezing (2nd all-time longest November streak). Mojo to those out east who have been buried by snow - Tommy is probably delighted that he didn't take a cruise to Buffalo.

Enjoy your Friday, Gurus!

morning guys.....leaving after school to head toward old hometown. BIL's moms' funeral tomorrow, wake service tonight. Weather is looking pretty good, so, I think we'll take the Corvette. It hasn't been out much in the last month, and, it does have heated seats. Just have to be careful about the summer tires, they won't have a lot of grip in the colder weather.

Good Morning CGs!

At my folks' house waiting for the moving truck to arrive. Big move is happening and the old house is being sold. Lots of action in a short period of time. It will be hectic but worth it when it settles down.

Steve, glad the pooch is better.

TB - sorry to hear about your loss.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Marcus, the cabinet is not so heavy that we can't man-handle them. I lay them down and pick them up by myself, so together, we will be able to move them from one to the other.

Yes, but I'll let you know when I leave and I'll let you know as we progress. It is normally about four hours drive for us in the car to Salina. Pulling the trailer might be a little slower.
