Good morning gang.

Made it to the end of the week. Cold here this morning temps in the low 20's and highs should be in the mid 30's.

Word of the Day Friday, December 12, 2014

verbigeration \ ver-bij-uh-REY-shuhn \, noun;

1.Pathology . the constant or obsessive repetition of meaningless words or phrases.

Origin:

Verbigeration entered English in the late 1800s from the Latin verbigerāre meaning "to chat, converse."

Today is NATIONAL UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER DAY

National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day was started in 2011 by ugly Christmas sweater lovers and has now grown to be an international event. Occurring on the second Friday of every December, the holiday gives holiday lovers worldwide a chance to wear their ugly Christmas sweaters. In 2014, they partnered with Save the Children in their “Make the World Better with a Sweater” campaign. You can now help children across the world by wearing an ugly sweater on December 12th and encouraging others to go online and donate.

For more information go to http://www.nationaluglychristmassweaterday.org/

NATIONAL DING-A-LING DAY

National Ding-a-Ling Day is celebrated across the United States each year on December 12.

In 1972, Franky Hyle placed a free ad in Chase’s Calendar of Events with his PO Box Number in Melrose Park, IL stating that for $1 you can join the National Ding-A-Ling club. The club, with 871 original members, would call friends and relatives they haven’t heard from in awhile every year on December 12.

The tradition grew and today millions of people will call those people who are dear to them.

To read a story written about National Ding-A-Ling Day in 1975, go to http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid ... sjid=4foDAAAAIBAJ&pg=3091

GINGERBREAD HOUSE DAY

Gingerbread House Day is celebrated annually on December 12.

NATIONAL AMBROSIA DAY

A variation of the traditional fruit salad, ambrosia has it’s own special day and it is celebrated annually on National Ambrosia Day.

NATIONAL POINSETTIA DAY

Each year on the 12th day of December, people across the United States celebrate National Poinsettia Day.

Good Morning CGs!

Well the sun actually peeked its head out yesterday for a bit which was a nice change. Hopefully we see more of that stranger today. Not sure. This Sunday and Monday we are supposed to hit 50. I would prefer it stays cool because then my sinuses don't get all messed up. Oh well.

I would like to tinker with the car, but alas there is no car with which to tinker. It is still sleeping at my mom's house. But I have that urge or desire to do something. I will have to figure out something else to do with my non-existent free time.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

It's been cool and pleasant the past few days. I love Florida winters. (Have I mentioned that before?) I've had to get my ass in gear everyday for awhile now. Today is no different. Several all day jobs lie ahead. The reward is everything (nearly everything) will be cleaned up and straightened out. I've been making steady progress. Mimi, the Yorky, is going to get spayed today. We took three dogs to the vet yesterday to be seen for various issues. The bill including meds came to $88. I nearly fell over. Is that a more than reasonable price, or what? I love pleasant surprises. Well ........ It's off the the shower and then time to get crackin. Burnin daylight. Have a great day everyone.

Meare meta!

Happy Friday, indeed! Glad it is here, I've been swamped all week, and today will be no different.

Get ready to relax, Gurus!

Obama's done it again. Now the oil price per barrel has dipped below $60 a barrel. This can not be good news for the big oil stock/share holder. He's screwed another group over once again. I'm sure airline prices and cost of goods prices will soon be reflected accordingly by prices reductions. (Ya, right.)

Morning guys...had post all done and it disappeared!Foggy as all get out for the third day in a row. Last two days it burned off by noon, today it seems to be socked in. I'm pretty sure this is the remnant of the storm the west coast folks were having the last few days. 93mph is a pretty stiff breeze there Bill. Might affect the golf shot, for those trying to play...

We are headed south tonight to watch #1 GS play in the semi-finals of the tourney. They played well yesterday afternoon, he had a double double, 21 points and 16 rebounds. I hope he has another good game tonight, they need him to.

Yea, Tommy, I'm sure that the downward price of oil is going to be translated into cheaper prices for all other goods....wishful thinking.

COOL, DAMP, OVERCAST. LOVELY, JUST LOVELY.

THAT'S SOME STORM OUT WEST, HOPE THERE'S PLENTY OF RAIN FOR YOU ALL, SOUNDS LIKE SOME WILL GET MORE THAN THEY WANT.

DON'T KNOW ABOUT PRICES, BUT THERE'S LOTS OF FOLKS WHO WILL HAVE SOME EXTRA $ THEY USED TO SPEND ON GAS. OIL OUTFITS AND ROYALTY OWNERS ARE TAKING A HIT. WE GET A LITTLE MINERAL ROYALTY, BUT DECIDED LONG AGO THAT IT WAS "FOUND MONEY", NOT TO BE DEPENDED ON OR BUDGETED. SO IT HURTS, BUT DOES NO HARM.

FOR ALL YOU FOOSBALL FANS:
