Good Morning CGs!

We have certainly had some enjoyable weather the past few days. I am just about ready to get the car home and start working on it. Last night I had to go to mom and dad's because the cable box was acting up. I switched it around with a different one and all is well in the world for now. While there I pulled back the car cover and got excited for the upcoming warm weather. Once the roads are a little more clear of salt/water/residual snow I will be on my way.

Who has theirs home and is driving it already (you warm weather people don't count!)?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Howdy! Back in the 60's today, should be decent out there. I may bring the car home this weekend - will have to see how the extended forecast looks. Since bringing the Corvette home means leaving the truck out, I'm not eager to start scraping windows in the morning if it is going to be cold.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Morning guys...I'm taking the Corvette this weekend to KC. I'll swap it and the Caddy around today after school, and get it loaded up so we can leave ASAP after school.

Look at the pictures, it almost appears that she is proud of the fact. I hope like heck she doesn't reproduce.

Speaking of driving errors, I was driving to a job and I went into auto pilot mid trip and got on the turnpike by mistake. I was already running late because we had to stop by the crew chiefs apartment because he forgot his phone. That kicked off a negative chain of events and backed me up 15 minutes. From there on it was all downhill. As soon as I got on the highway it slowed to a crawl. Worse than a crawl. Stop and go on a 65 mph roadway. Took me about a half hour to go 2 1/2 miles. The road I exited on was backed up and I was catching every light. Next I got caught behind a concrete truck in a residential area with nowhere to pass. Painfully slow progress. I got to the jobsite almost an hour after Sue had arrived with the crew. Fortunately they had tools and could start but she was not happy none the less. She laid down the required matronly guilt trip and said "What if this had been on another job?" That should keep me straight and more alert for awhile when driving to a jobsite. One wrong turn. That's all it took. One wrong turn. On top of that, instead of getting home by 10:00 I got home at 11:00. Thinking of starting the day over again by jumping back into bed for an hour. Seems like the only logical approach.

Thought I found a car in Miami, good price, good miles, looked like some engine and body upgrades, come to find out there's some issues with it - complete repaint - red flag there, and a laundry list of other gremlins. Figures. Search continues.

Letty, why don't you start a thread and let the gurus help find a ride that will work for you. What is it specifically? Make , model , year, color, style and most important $$$. How much do you want to spend.

Preferably a C6, 2006-2008 cheap as possible, prefer black, prefer convertible - the white one I found was a fluke but I liked it - I have a good down payment, they'd have to finance the rest. Mileage isn't an issue - I'm not looking for someone's trailer queen. High miles is fine - I'd rather have one that's been driven as oppoesed to been sitting. Don't want to get me in it and have it on the road and stuff start popping left and right from dry rot issues or whatever from it not being accustomed to being on the road. Had that happen with my first one. The next one I got had mines and it ended up with 248k on it when I finally blew a head gasket. Strangely this last one though I only put 25k on it the last three years total. an 08 with 75k isn't an issue with me. Cars.com has been where I've been looking

Take a look at AutoTrader.com and CarGurus.com

carguru.com has higher prices

I've tried the autotrader site and just got lost in there but might try it again. A club member is wanting to sell me their 04 but I dont' want a C5 and certainly not paying $22,500 for ANY C5 when I can get a C6 for that...
Hell I might just get a new truck, crap.

This is one of those that I liked, although when I talked to him before (at a higher price) he wouldn't budge. I prefer the red/black interior and stitching on headrests but heck you can't win 'em all.. although I'm trying. And, like I said, miles aren't an issue with me. I'd rather have one that's been on the road and at 75/k a year for an '08 that's only an average of what, 12k a year?
