Good Morning CGs!

The site seems to be cooperating a little better this morning so I am able to post the daily chat.

I did get the grass cut last night anticipating rain the rest of the week. As of this morning the forecast has changed to only cloudy for today with some rain tomorrow. We need it. Some areas are still flooded out from what they said on the radio this morning. In honor of no rain I have a full tank of gas and will be driving the vette to work.

Not sure if I mentioned it but the other night my MIL fell and broke her wrist. Not just a little, but a lot. She has to have surgery to repair the issue, coming up I think on Friday. She will be off work for a few months and in a cast for a bit. Luckily it was her left wrist and not her right one. I guess the wife will be busy this summer helping them out.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Haxa'jua!

There must've been a shift in the cosmos, as I somehow managed to win my match yesterday. I didn't play particularly well, but a smidgen better than my opponent.

Mojo to your MIL, Matt!

Have a good day, yawlz!

Atta boy Brad..........its nice to see that your opponent is still able to play when he is 95 years old.......very cool.....

Wrist healing mojo's to your MIL Matt......that will slow her down some I'm thinking....

Sun is shining for 2 days in a row now.......what does it mean? Probably that big storms are coming....

Measured the tread depth on my Bridgestone RFT's after 20K miles and they were 9/32 in front and 8/32 on the rear.......someone said they have 10/32 when they are new.......if so then that is not bad wear......and that I am totally not abusing the tires........which is kinda boring........but hey, they cost 1600 bucks a set......so easy does it........

It's time to go work.....have a safe day Guru's......

Basketball season is over ! And the Cavs are "All Done". I really do not like professional basketball at all.

I woke up to a strange sight this morning. The sky was blue and there was a big bright yellow ball up there. I could learn to like this.

I have been getting lots of lawn work done between my place, Michelle's and Mom's. I have come to realize that every year getting down and crawling around for that kind of work gets just a little bit more difficult.

Weather permitting, the Corvette will have 3 nice outings starting on Friday. Looks like another funpacked weekend ahead !

Later, duty calls.

The car's already under restoration.

It was featured on one of the TV shows either Legiondary Motorcars or Americarna.

Saw it about 6 months ago.

Well, we're going to try this one more time. I've tried twice today to post, both times losing it in cyberspace. Sunny hot day here. I worked pretty hard in the shop. Got all the cabinets, for the kitchen job I'm doing, assembled, drawer slides mostly in. Worked on a computer, had the cable guy here installing a new cable modem.

Late this afternoon the people I'm building the cabinets for got home from a short vacation and Rosie saw them and went down to tell them to come down and look at what I got done since they were gone. First the hubby came down and about had to pick up his jaw off the floor. Then wifey comes down and says, "Tom, I don't like these cabinets........I love them! They are perfect. This is exactly the right color." I told her, "That's good, that's the color they are." She went over them with a fine tooth comb and simply loves them. Reactions like that make my job very enjoyable.

Tomorrow my financial advisor stops in to see us and look at where we are and what we need to do. I'm going to make every attempt to not dip into anything for some time yet. I've got some funds that we may move around some to maximize it's earning ability.

Well, I'm going to copy this post before submitting this time.

Oh, yea, my SIL fell and broke her wrist 6 weeks ago. Her surgeon put in a plate and 12 screws to repair her wrist. You'd think a 59 year old would know better than to rollerblade with her grandkids. Hope your MIL heal rapidly Matt.

That's pretty good mileage Marcus. Bridgestones will make my next cut when I'm looking for tires.

Brad, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

You wouldn't be sorry.....but you have so many more options to choose from then the GS's do.......we have three choices, Michelin, Goodyear, or Bridgestone's.......Goodyear are junk so that leaves only two and the Stones are 400 bucks cheaper then the M's so it narrows it down a lot. All these are summer tires but I hear Michelin is coming out with an all season for the GS, Z06 and ZR1's.........I will believe it when I seen it.......
