Good Morning CGs!

I hope you all enjoyed my haircut saga from yesterday. The closure is as follows...got home last night and had dinner. Got out the clippers to clean up what was wrong. Cut the sides and then buzzed the top - a lot of hair came off. Because she never cut it short enough to begin with. Then I went to fix the front. Turns out this stupid woman cut everything uneven and barely left any in the front, anyway. So I had to take it down shorter and I essentially shaved my entire head. So that's where that stands. I told my wife don't ever try that shit again. All of this to get a free coupon for my son's haircut.

Been browsing for miscellaneous parts but no real update on the build.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Üvä oomni!

Happy Friday! Well at least I believe it is Friday, which means I'm on vacation as soon as the workday is done. We're heading up to a resort in northern MN with a bunch of friends tomorrow morning. Should be a relaxing week.

Have a great day, Gurus!

Yep and so it does......still cloudy and rainy here. Working in the office today.

I'm looking at another large car.....this one is a Freightliner with a 475 hp Detroit Diesel (Mercedes Benz) engine in it and a Roadranger 10 speed. It has a big sleeper on it that I can stand up in. We are going to be going over the road with it to other States so the drivers need some comfort.......that's what I hear anyway.....price is right.....

Not much else going on right now.....Huskers at home this week against Northwestern so we will be attending the game.

Matt that sound like the time I tried a new barbershop called Joe's back up in Montana.....the haircut was so bad I also had to get a buzz job to be presentable.....later on I found out everyone called him Joe the butcher.....and so it goes.........

CLOUDY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, GOT A LITTLE OVER AN INCH AND A HALF SLOW STEADY RAIN LAST NIGHT, MINIMAL RUNOFF, JUST WHAT WE NEEDED. LOOKS LIKE IT'S OVER FOR THE DAY, BUT MORE EXPECTED TONIGHT.

LIGHTS WENT OUT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF LAST NIGHT, HAD TO DIG OUT CANDLES AND FIRE UP THE ALADDIN LAMP. DON'T KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT, THERE WAS NO THUNDER & LIGHTNING. ONE OF THE LESS JOYFUL FEATURES OF COUNTRY LIVING :-(

Hey guys....We've been having internet issues last night and into today, to the point of no internet at all for 16 hours. It's sketchy now on and off.

Been working in the shop this morning and working in the garage. Last night, Rosie had a meeting in the 'city' and I had a door and drawer front to install for a couple a block over, took about an hour. When I came back in I thought I'd warm up something for supper. Went to the sink to get some water, no water......huuummmmm. Went to the bathroom that is close, no water there either. Better go downstairs to see what's going on. I hit the bottom of the stairs and heart water running. Going back to the mechanical room I see the water softener full and running out all over the floor. Luckily the floor drains actually work. Somehow, the softener malfunctioned and filled the tank and the resin tank too, washing out all the resin. Luckily there is a by-pass valve. So we are shopping for a new softener.

For whatever reason I decided to drive the 92 to work today.... I think because I had a meeting first thing that I really didn't want to attend and I thought maybe it would strand me again.... Anyway the 92's just been sitting in the driveway for a few months after I fixed the Opti and ICM harness.

Man the front tires are flat spotted to heck.... no fun on the hwy at 80mph....

So whatever the issue I imagined it had, with it not running right back in the summer (after I fixed the Opti and ICM harness), seems to be gone. Car ran great. I forgot just how fast this bad boy is....

Gonna stop by the parts house on the way home and buy some oil, filter and new plugs for it.... treat it right - change the oil and plugs this weekend.

I also forget how easy it is to shift and operate the clutch.... HUGE difference between the 92 and the 72. The ZF6 and hydro operated SPEC Stage 3 is almost not real feeling compared to the 72's Muncie and manual Z Bar operated clutch.

I got my NO2 controller for the 84 race car back in the mail from the mfgr last night. Still waiting on a few wiring upgrades to ship from Amazon so they won't be here till next week. Hope to have it back together in time for next weekends final race of the season.

For a guy that hates plumbing you sure do seem to have a lot of plumbing issues. (laughing with you not at you)

Yea, Tommy, you are laughing with me. Now a shocker....I actually got the new water softener installed all by myself. Mostly because I bought the one that used the same by-pass valve and the connections were exactly the same height as the old one.

SEEMS MORE FREQUENT OUT HERE, USUALLY FROM LIGHTNING OR ICE BRINGING TREE LIMBS DOWN. THE LOCAL ELECTRIC CO-OP DOES AS BEST THEY CAN GETTING IT BACK ON, BUT THEY ARE NOT EXACTLY OVER FUNDED. ONE YEAR AFTER AN ICE STORM WE HAD NO LIGHTS FOR EIGHT DAYS.
