Good Morning CGs!

The warm days that we had a few days ago are certainly gone. Overnight in the 30s and daytime in the 40s-50s now. I still don't think I'm ready for it. They predict that el nino will make this winter rainy without as much snow. I can deal with that. But we'll see when it actually happens.

I have a bunch of little projects to do in the garage before winter comes. The other day I bought some pressure treated 2x4s so that I can raise a cabinet off the floor. Every time snow melts it goes underneath and I'm sure it's eating away at the bottom. So I need to fix that. A few other tasks, as well. Everyone caught up with their Fall projects?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning gang.

Been awhile since I checked in. Hope everyone is doing fine.

Like Matt we completed a couple of projects while it was warm this week. We caulked the windows put the mower away and got the snowblower out.

In the process of caulking windows I found some dry rot and had to fix that.

Yesterday we bought a new car. It's a 2008 Cadillac CTS4 Crystal red tintcoat. It has 93K on the clock. So far we like it very much. Mrs captmike enjoyed the drive home from Indy yesterday.

When it warms up I'll get some pics and post later.

Good morning fellow Guru's.....I feeeeeel good! Didn't get to bed till 1:30 I was still in party mode from the Huskers huge upset win over Michigan State who at the the time was ranked number 7 in the Nation and undefeated......Can't remember a game that had all the drama as this one....with 4 minutes to go we were down 12 points and somehow came back and won the game 39 to 38....it was a lot of fun.....Uboy was pounding people on the back and yelling at the top of his lungs as was everyone else....the place was pandemonium......The whole State needed that.....

Today is nice out and I will do some resting up and hopefully my voice will come back.......

Have a great day off Guru's....its time for my morning nap.......

Morning guys....Marcus sends me a text when the game was over...I knew he was pretty darned excited.

It's chilly here with frost on the pumpkins. We haven't turned on the heat yet here in the house. It's not bad yet, but my toes are chilly this morning, guess I should put some socks on.

It's is supposed to turn much colder this week, so I will have to shut the sprinkler system down today. Other than that, not much planned.

Greetings! Yes, pretty exciting finish, Marcus! Not so much for the Goofers against Ohio State. Meanwhile, Mrs. Pianoguy has to go out of town for a couple days, so I hope we're stocked up on junk food.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Had a delivery this morning. Sonny boy is coming over later for a shower and do his laundry. He's still going to classes. Hopefully the new year will hold some promise for him. Sue went out to do a couple of estimates. No rest for the weary. Still making up for the 10 grand those sassafrassin shidilibops stole from us. I've been on high alert ever since. I pity the fool that tries anything like this again.

Most of the finish is applied. Still a little to do, but need to allow what I have to dry thoroughly. I'll try to get things finished up this week. Still have the tops to make for the bookcases.

Uwoman wants to know if there is a trim piece between the old cabinets and the new ones and if the old crown molding is going to go up now on the new ones and the ceiling.....?

There can be a small trim between the uppers and the upper uppers. the plan is to move the crown up to the top.

Can you get me the measurement of how wide the fireplace surround is where the bookcases meet it? From the wall out to the front.

Semi-lazy day - watched the Viqueens eke out a win, then took Mrs. Pianoguy to the airport. Then I got her RDX washed and I slathered a coat of Rejex on it.

Speaking of Rejex, I bought a bottle of "JetSeal" and laid a coat of it on the Corvette this afternoon. I don't know if it's any better than Rejex, but it is a very slick finish.
