Good Morning CGs!

Well another day of rain here, but no complaints. It's going to be 62* today. I can only imagine how much snow this would be if the precipitation were converted from rain. So I'll take rain over snow any day.

I think I've made up my mind on my cam selection. I am about 99% set on using the LPE 219 cam. It's a very well proven setup using that cam, heads, SR, and a 383 bottom end. And it should give me a bit of increased idle quality and driveability over my old cam. I will most likely talk to the builder today and order it.

RR#2 is on antibiotics for the strep throat that was diagnosed yesterday. He'll miss school today, but you won't hear any complaints because he gets one on one time with mommy.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Suppabhātam!

Raining cats and dogs here, too, and also no complaints, as there is no shoveling involved. And in a mere week from now, the days will start getting longer. I am sure we will eventually keep our appointment with the deep freeze, though.

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys...late start and it is COLD here. Roads have cleared as Rosie had a dental appointment in the 'city' and she's left early. Most of the moisture they were predicting went east of us. Less than an hour away they had 8" of the sloppy crap. Headed for the shop here shortly. Have a great Monday.

It's not nice here......rained all night and that turned to slushing....we must have got 2 inches of rain....its a mess....so I will work in the shop today since my bride has come up with a grand new idea for a Christmas tree stand.....its called a box......no more Pinterest I told her......I was dragging my feet a bit and then she used the Tom card on me......she says I bet Tom could build that Christmas box.......I had to laugh......so that is what I'm doing today....Tom you are lucky you don't live closer......

I don't have any car projects for the GS......it's just the way I like it.....I would like to SuperCharge it but seem to be short the $7K that takes and its fast enough already for this old guy........but I have always wondered what 550 hp felt like......maybe long tube headers and a tune.....that's good for 40 or so hp.........or not.......maybe work on the Honda......yeah there is an idea....

Have a safe day Guru's........

CLOUDY AND WINDY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, RAIN IS OVER AND A DRY WEEK AHEAD, SO THEY SAY. THE CHEROKEES WANT SUNSHINE!
I SEE THREE AND A QUARTER INCHES IN THE RAIN GAGE; OTHER PLACES IN THE AREA GOT MORE. OUR SPOT UNDER THE RIDGE SEEMS LESS SUBJECT TO WEATHER EXTREMES.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE ACTION THAT WAS CALLED ON ACCOUNT OF RAIN IS PENDING TODAY :-0

Haha Marcus. I'll bet you never dreamed the can of worms you were opening when you had me make those rolling cabinets for your garage.

Man I am wore out!

Thursday I drove to Indy and walked the PRI show Friday and Saturday then got up Sunday and drove home.

627 miles one way.....

On the plus side my 2013 GMC Sierra Z71 averaged 18.4 mpg on the trip there and 19.1 mpg on the trip home. Loaded with auto parts both ways running 75-80 mph at most all times.

PRI was very good to us. Talked with a lot of people and cut some great deals on parts and other stuff for the engine shop. Both my brother and I are doing so much work with the engine shop we really needed to get to get those agreements in place for 2016. We have some very serious engine builds/projects in the works.

Made a somewhat significant (to me) decision this weekend as well. I am going to let my 92 6speed go....

With the race car, I just don't have the time, money or space to keep the 92 maintained and enjoy it like it should be. When I want to have a fun weekend drive, I honestly prefer to take out the 72....

The 92 means a lot to me.... building it up and racing it since 2005 has been a very fun part of my life but time has marched on and the car is going to waste away if I just continue to let it sit with only the occasionally good weather drive to work.

My brother expressed interest in the 92 and I know he will take care of it and enjoy having it, so we are going to work out something.

Of course I still have the 84 race car and 72 we just bought earlier this year so I don't ever plan to be totally without a Corvette.
