Good Morning CGs!

And the beat rolls on.... la de da de de, la de da de da.... (cue TT)

Did some more yard work yesterday after work then got the brakes on the Oodi ripped apart. Getting the rotors cut today and then back together. Pretty straightforward. I wish all jobs were this easy.

Should be sunny and 80 today. Driving the Corvette, since it has brakes Should be a pleasant day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

ANOTHER GRAY DAY IN THE NATIONS, WAITING FOR THE RAIN. THE CHEROKEES ARE RESIGNED TO MILDEW AND WEBBED FEET. THIS HAS REALLY BEEN A WET MAY.

I'LL TRY AGAIN TO GET THE CAR TAGS RENEWED, THAT'S ABOUT THE EXTENT OF MY AGENDA FOR THE DAY. DARLING WIFE GOING TO DALLAS WITH SON, HE ON BUSINESS, SHE TO VISIT HER SISTERS, LEAVING ME UNSUPERVISED. PARTY, PARTY, PARTY :-)

Hidey-ho! It's semi-sunny here, gonna be in the 80's, but rain later and most of this week. The Vette is still trapped in the garage. Meanwhile, this week is starting out as busy as last week - ugh!

Have a good one, yawlz!

Good morning.

I made a few mistakes along the way but thankfully I was working with wood so it leaves you a lot of outs. First mistake I made was cutting my wall studs to 8'. Corrected the problem by cutting boards to go between the 2 x 4's giving the base of the exterior and interior plywood something to screw into besides the studs. I sealed everything up with caulking to keep out insects. I sprayed with Home Defense before I caulked giving me a line of defense against insects, mainly ants. Drilled 15/16ths holes for the romex to run through. There are 4 outlets and 1 additional outlet for light switches and one outside for a water pump (future use). Moved the timer for the back nursery water pump. Sue started putting up insulation yesterday while I caulked and replaced one partial sheet on the exterior where the timer box used to be. I know the caulking isn't pretty but it's behind the wall and only Superman will see it or those that still have a set of X-Ray glasses they bought from the comic books as kids. Sue got 2 of 9 sheets done. I have yet to caulk the outside, put in the windows, sheet the inside, paint, trim and other stuff but the project is moving forward. Here are a few pics.

The big grey box is where the connections were made to the outlets. The shed is on 4 circuit breakers. The exterior panel by the box is the one that was replaced with a solid panel.

looks nice Tommy......what is going on the inside for wall covering?

Well got the meet and greet done.....It was nice. They are kinda a quiet bunch and we are not so much so we had to kinda subdue ourselves.....hard for me to do but I think it all went well.......I cooked burgers on the grill and we had some sparkling wine and such........

Kinda rainy and humid here today as it will get up towards 80 degrees......I wish it would rain but it probably won't.....

Have an excellent day Guru's...... Gris I am surprised that you can be left on your own like that......so much trouble to get into in so little time.....

Morning guys....I've been up and at 'em since 7:20. It is calm winds right now, so I felt I needed to take advantage of that to get some finish sprayed. It is simply amazing that just a half once of liquid can make that finish dry to the touch in just a few minutes.....if only I had known that the first time. All the frames are sprayed and they dry to the touch within minutes. In an hour I'll go look them over pretty close and see if there are areas that need a re-coat.

Was sunny when we first got up, then got real cloudy and now the sun is shining again. There were tornadoes east of us last night about 10 miles away from here. They also had some softball sized hail. All we got was a quick shower that didn't amount to much. Not sorry we missed the hail...or the tornadoes. Luckily most of that occurred over open land and no damage has been reported...yet. Could be in for more storms today, they say. It's humid as heck so that part of the puzzle is present.

Tommy, the shed is looking good. Yea, rookie mistake on the stud length, but appears that you have alleviated the problem. Matt, did you have the right tools to do that job, or did you have to go out and buy something to finish it? Marcus, you're saying the conversation was pretty one-sided? I'm sure you made them feel very comfortable.

Marcus , I believe I'm doing the inside wall with plywood. There will be lots of stuff hanging here and there and the strength of wood has me leaning in that direction. 1/2 inch or 5/8ths. I'll see when I look at the material. Thinking of going rough, not sanded so the wall will have texture. Again, I'm not committed. I might go sanded as it will blend in better when I fill in the joints.

Sue went with me to HD yesterday. I started looking at stuff just to look at it. It pissed her off. She went and sat in the van while I picked up a couple of things. She wanted the foam insulation. I was looking at the options. Ended up going with the foam she picked. lol. Bought some Liquid Nail to hold the foam but found I don't need it. The foam holds itself if cut snugly.

That shed is coming along nicely. I want one of those 'she sheds' to put bar stuff in.
Beautiful and mid 80s here - headed to Pensacola after work Wednesday. Praying for sun there as well. Have a ton to do before - two houses to clean and laundry and dishes and ..... never ends. Hope everyone has a great evening.

Tommy - looking good. But I am a little disappointed in your lack of musical direction....

TB - I did have everything I needed, so I went and bought something anyway...
