Up early cause the dogs wanted out.......I did not sleep well for some reason.......spent all day working on the books........I hate working on the books.......I do know this that the taxes we pay are nuts.....If I could keep half that it would make so much difference........and Hilarity wants us to pay more...........nice!

Well I lost interest in mowing yesterday so got no choice today....and we are out of fuel so will have to go get some......I got to watching my Dodgers take on the Cubs...which turned out ok.....Vin Scully with the call....this is his last year and can't believe he won't be back. He has been calling the Dodgers games for 67 years......that's longer then I've been alive.......he is the sound of summers past to me.....the things and people he has seen...he is history.

then I watched the Royals uh......not do so well......they are running out of time for a wild card bid.....there is always hope.....

...have a relaxing day Guru's.......

Greetings! Iffy-looking day out there, perhaps I will just sit inside and watch some football. My son is going to the Viqueens game with a friend. I haven't seen the posh new stadium yet. Meanwhile, it is my sister's 52nd anniversary today - she was recounting how she and her husband eloped to South Dakota in his '58 Corvette way back then.

Yeah, Vin is a beauty - baseball won't be the same without him. But I don't thinks even Vin could've helped the Twinkies this year.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Boy, yesterday pushed the limits of the old excuse "That's Racing".

As soon as we left town on Friday , the pickup we were towing with wouldn't shift, then it cleared up. Then, there was a big rig wreck on I-5 that shut the road down for an hour.

Saturday Julian (the driver) and I did tech on 50 cars first thing in the morning. When warming up the Atlantic, the alternator belt came off, missed the first session. Second session, the car died on the track on the first lap, towed in. Found a bad connection on the ECM relay and found that the alternator bracket was broken.

Got those fixed but the car wouldn't run right, Julian got about 4 laps in for the weekend.

Got home at 10:00 p.m.

I did get to see Pete's new Wolf run on the track. Wild car, it's all carbon fiber even the roll bars.

Hey guys...slept in this morning. Marcus, if we don't start paying more in taxes, how will the illegals and other freeloaders, get their free money and insurance.....come on, it's simple to understand. Nin is the man, he will be missed.

We are going to visit my sister this afternoon. She's going to have her second chemo treatment this week.

Ah hell, that's just more weight.

If you've seen the Corvette Prototypes that run the 24 Hours of Daytona..............this car is faster.

It weighs around 1,200 lbs.

Has a 280 horse Honda engine.

And there are other higher horse engines available.

1200 lbs, that's cool, power to weight is just a bit better than our Corvettes.

If you run the math, the Corvette would need 744 horse.

However, that's just straight line performance. Figure in braking a 1,200 lb. car and this car generates 2,000 lbs. of downforce with the tunnels and wings so, the cornering speeds are ridiculous.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Had a guys day and took RR#2 to the movies to see "Pete's Dragon". He liked it. After that took him for some ice cream. We drove the Vette today, so that's twice in two days now. Not bad, good to stretch it's legs. It was starting to get flat spots on the tires from sitting too long. Sheesh.

Hope everyone has a great day!
