Was in the 30s this morning, should make it up to 66 this afternoon.

Been driving the Vette the past few days and enjoying it. The hose clamp seems to have fixed the PS leak. So I'm doing ok. Certainly want to do the motor mounts in the spring, though.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Great weather here. Have two trap shoots this weekend. One at Edwards air force base the other at North Hollywood Spokesman club. They both should be a lot of fun.

Howdy! It must be Friday again, since I put the garbage out. As I was rolling the containers down to the curb, I noticed I now have mole tunnels in the yard. Ducky!

Have a good day, Gurus!

Good morning

Took Diesel, our new to us Yorkie, in to get chipped and clipped (neutered). Cleaned up the jacuzzi yesterday after it was sitting for 1 1/2 years unused. I drain it for the summer and use it in the wintertime, but not last year. I feel it will come in handy this year. Cold weather and warm, jetted water go well together. I enjoy sitting in the bubbly water and easing my joint pain in the evening. It can be relaxing. All of our dogs (3) are in the 2-3 y/o range. In all probability these will be my last generations of puppies. In an odd string of events the thought of selling our Corvettes came to mind. I never took that thought seriously in the past but not using them often makes it seem more plausible than ever before. Eventually I am going to have to embrace a "Less is more." lifestyle. No changes right away but many actions usually start with a thought.

Back to getting clipped

Got 2 reverse 911 calls this morning, so far, "Prepare to Evacuate"

Major fire

Major winds, could see gusts of 90mph.

Son of a Bitch.

No cops of fire crews around me yet.

All I have to do is throw the birds in the pickup and haul ass.

2 p.m. - Still here

Haven't got a reverse 911 call since 8:30

Fire's grown to 2,000 acres and destroyed 19 homes in the valley south of me.

Another fire started just over the ridge behind my house but at last report it was only 20 acres and they had a line cut around it. Should be contained soon.

AND it's raining on and off, never been so happy to see rain in my life. Helps but, this is far from over, zero containment on the big fire.

Hey guys, Ive been at it since the get-go. Yesterday, I decided I WAS going to figure out my CNC. And I did, it was the more expensive option. I found the board on the control box wasn't sending any signal to the motor. So I found the place that other guys have used to fix their boards, gave them a call and talked to the tech who will actually be working on the board, he assures me that it will be better than new when he gets done with it. So, I sent it off today to be fixed.

I worked in the shop today making a cabinet for the control box and computer, for the CNC to reside in. I mounted it to the bottom of the table on the frame. Drilled and tapped the frame so I could bolt it there. Once I get the control box back I'll work on getting the wiring routed to it. I also have some wire management "chain" coming to help with that as well. I will be exciting to actually have the thing up and running (like it should). I actually had a call the other night asking about a project where it is, more or less, required. When they called, they didn't know I had one, but asked if I still had access to the one at school.

That maggot was freaking GROSS! Bill, I hope and pray that they get that fire under control! Tommy, Tommy, Tommy...you can't do that! Steve, shoot well my friend! Matt, drive the heck out of it.

Last home football game tonight, got to get ready to go. See you guys in the morning.

Nothing great.

The on & off rain is probably done until tomorrow night.

The prep for evac here has been lifted but they state we should be prepared to go on short notice.

The winds calmed down from F'in ridiculous to just high winds. A gust of 87 was recorded here today.
Of course, can't get the airplanes up to fight this thing.

Zero containment.

Have to go thru all this crap again tomorrow.

The last football game for me, for the season. We lost, now in order to make the playoffs, we must win the last two, then they will be on the road for the first round.

It was a glorious night for football, or any other outdoor activity. Light breezes and mild temps. The next three days though, it's going to be late summer, temp-wise....upper 80s.
