We are up and around, getting the Caddy loaded to head east. We have lots of grandkid stuff to attend this weekend.

A little warmer this morning, 60 and headed to upper 80s -low 90s here. Not sure about the KC area. Tonight we have a GD dance recital to go to. Tomorrow is a soccer game/baseball game and a gymnastics display Saturday. And a birthday party thrown in there for good measure.

We better hit the road. I'll check in later. Have a great Thursday!

Howdy! Another bright, sunshiny day here, gonna be 80-ish. I can dig it. Definitely need sunglasses driving east.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

The ice maker repairman was supposed to stop by yesterday. He didn't show. Last time it took him several days and a few phone calls to finally make it over to us. Today I called back to ask, "Is the repairman coming today?. Tomorrow ?" The response I got was shocking. "I was just discussing it with my supervisor and we're going to send you a new unit. We'll ship it out later today and you should have it tomorrow or Monday." (Me standing with phone in my hand in total shock). I told the service center and supervisor, "Thanks, that's actually much more than I expected.) I'm still in shock. All I asked for and expected was the repair.

CLOUDY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, HAD A QUARTER INCH OF RAIN LAST NIGHT.

AND IN THE NEWS: RUMOR, INNUENDO, AND FATUITY. THE FACT THAT WE CONDUCTED AN ANTI-ICBM TEST WHERE WE ESSENTIALLY HIT A BULLET WITH ANOTHER BULLET GETS BARE MENTION WHILE A TWEET TYPO IS FRONT PAGE ABOVE THE FOLD. THEY ARE WORKING HARD AT BEING IRRELEVANT.

LETTY'S NEWS, ON THE OTHER HAND IS MO' BETTA :-)

Great news Tommy! Nothing like an unexpected blessing.
I'm taking my news as the same. I know my mindset was in a way different direction, given my age and previous issues.
Have a save trip to visit the grands, Tom.
Glad your driver was okay, Marcus. Golfball hail? Geez I'd have freaked.
Gris: LOL!!!!!! "they" just don't know what else to do with themselves, but I have some ideas.

Sue may have an upcoming surgery. If she elects to have it the doctor insists she quits smoking a month before the surgery. I know we both need to quit so I may join in on the fun. 50 years of dragging butts. 3 previous attempts. maybe the fourth will be a charm. All I need is strong motivation.

Yes, quitting mojo Tommy. My mother's doc warned her to quit. she's diabetic and had heart disease. He told her it would kill her soon, as with diabetes and HD, it increases your chance of death by 50%. Four days before she died, she cried to him and told him "i've quit"... I had to see her face when he told her "i'm sorry, it's too late now". she did not qualify for surgery.
Yes, please quit. I know the stories of some that say "i've smoked for xx years and I'm fine"> everyone's body handles it differently but it's still a carcinogen with 900+ bad substances known that cause many other issues. I could go on for days - nevermind the tip of that thing is bagillion degrees centigrade, imagine what that does to your lung tissue.

Good Afternoon CGs!

I've been MIA the past few days. Busy with work and family.

Off today and took this kids fishing this morning. Or I should call it feeding the fish via fishing pole. A relatively new past time for them. But they had fun. Warm today so they are on the inflatable water slide. I started the process of opening the pool. The megashock I did in the fall was helpful, no green water. Buy it appears the "expensive" cover I bought didn't work and allowed water seepage. That or the birds picked holes in it. Oh well. Should have the pump running in the evening.

Hope everyone has a great day!
