I saw that I had to pan to the right just a hair to see the last 3 letters of my post on the right. Now I don't. Did a moderator edit them a little? If so let me know so next time I can downsize them a hair farther. If not then I'll keep using that size when I post pics.

The pics are fine and that engine (and the car) look sweet! Tell us all about that intake, obviously a custom piece.

It is a Holley Stealth Ram. The plenum was made by CF member makin U shiver, then sent to CF member ol'RJ to be welded together. It fit great, the only problem was the thermostat. I used a chrome swivel thermostat, and it is pretty high. I removed the IAC housing/water jacket from the bottom of the throttle body, then removed every ounce of metal from the water jacket of that piece. There are now 3 little torx bolts holding on just the IAC housing. Also, the drivers side lower throttle body bolt hit. I removed nearly 1/2" of the "bolt seat" on the throttle body for that bolt, then shortened the bolt. There is barely enough clearance, but it all works fine. I just cleared the codes and ran the car and have no codes, so I am pumped. The car runs wicked! I can't wait to try the nitrous, but the roads need to be clean and hot for that!!

Thanks guys. I also can't wait to get my smog pump eliminator pulley installed. I ordered it, should be here soon. That is the worst looking part of the engine bay now.

Just got my smog pump eliminator brackets and pulley installed. Bought them on ebay for $100. I am officially done for now. I'm not spending any more on it for a while, need to build the savings back up to cover part breakage when that happens. I am going to have it aligned in the rear and add a little positive camber and check the a/f ratio and adjust it with fuel pressure or have the tune redone if necessary, but that's it. I'm ready for the track. I've never been to a track but anytime I ever raced on a closed street or closed airport I did really well and many have said I have a knack for launching well. I'm hoping, with some experience, to get her in the low 11's on a 125 shot. I think that will be attainable as long as the bottom end stays together. What are you guys' honest opinions on what this thing should run in the 1/4 after I make a handful of passes? Post what you think I'll run and we'll see who is closest after I run it in a couple of months. I'm not spraying on launch, I'll spray after the tires are hooked and I'm moving, maybe at about 3500 or so RPM's in 1st gear, and I have 3.07 gears, so I think the D36 will last a while.

You can do what I did on the thermo housing, take a sawzall and cut the flange away from the dome and grind he dome down to make the dome as small as you can without obstructing the thermostat travel,

then RJ can weld the dome to the flange,, 4gedabodit

Hey LD85, Thank you for all your help too. The thread about your build on CF prettymuch convinced me to go HSR instead of miniram. I was expecting the HSR to start to run out of steam at about 5800rpms but with the CC503 cam and reworked 113 heads it pulls hard right to the 6500 rev limiter. Now I'm sure the heads are a little smallish for the cam and the hsr but it runs perfect and all parts seem to be matched well. Bigger heads might cost me a little bottom end and I am 99% street and cruising use so I don't want that. The tune is being worked over by Alvin now that I sent him a few Datamaster runs but other than that I'm done and ready for the track this spring. Hoping for low 11's on a 125 shot.

My swivel thermo housing has clearance now that I modified the IAC/water jacket housing on the bottom of the TB but if I ever upgrade to a 52mm or 58mm throttle body I will likely take your advice on the thermo housing adjustment.

Awesome,, I am amazed at how well the HSR flows,

my AFR 210's could use more cam and I'm sure he HSR would support it..

It's funny when people are so concerned about reducing the HSR plenum volume when the plenum is cut down,, it's a non-issue...

The low end is very comparable to the Super ram, after changing from the Miniram to the HSR, I picked up 12-RWTQ and my RWHP was the same
