Good Morning Gurus!

Ya know... I kinda miss being on vacation.

I wonder if somebody would pay me to sleep in and do nothing all day?

I need to look into this.

How's everybody doing today?

Actually, I have all the musical instruments I need ( several basses, a guitar, a keyboard and electronic drums) and Garage Band software on my Mac laptop.

I wonder if I could make about $60k a year just producing and releasing my own music? Probly not...

I'd need to get a bit more proficient on keys, drums and guitar first. I'm only good as a bassist, but I can figure stuff out pretty quickly.

We may need to chat about a collaboration sometime, Brad!

Being self employed is something like that. Cept you don't get any sleep worrying about making the house payment....

Today I have three appointments. It will be a good day.

How about prison? Room and board all paid for. You can read, work out, relax, meditate - all day long.

That would be cool! I've never made a nickel on music, but it's been a lot of fun. I've been involved in a few CD projects for charity - here's one a bunch of us did for Katrina relief:

Being self employed isn't that easy, tell him Andy.
Tell him about having a bad month where you not only don't take home any money but you have to pitch in over ten grand.

Have a great day.

I listened to all the previews on that CD. Every song sounds great! I believe I will purchase the CD at the end of the week.

Good stuff!

I remember those days. I bought my first C4 (an 88 coupe) the summer of 1989 after making a bunch of money in the commodities market by ignoring all the basic risk/reward and money management rules. I paid cash for it and I remember saying to myself as I signed the check "I've lost this much money before but I've never spent this much money before". Of course, it all caught up with me a few months later which left me thinking I should have bought something a little larger than a Corvette seeing as how I'd probably be living in it...

Thanks, Chris! Some really good tunes on it - all originals, as we didn't want to have any copyright hassles. Lots of variety - hope you enjoy it!

I know the feeling. I was catching up on paperwork today and sent out about $10,000 of checks and $10,000 of payroll and group benefits. Our group insurance went up 19% this year on top of the 15% last year.

Things are picking up a little but not enough to offset our bad year last year. We have really got to turn things up.
