Coolio! I have a friend who plays video poker at one of the casinos here. He's won a couple of motorcycles (took the cash, about $8K each time), as well as some jackpots over $5K. But he never tells me about the losing part ;-)

Good thing you weren't betting nickels, you would've won only 60 bucks!

Reminds me of a story. My wife's mom and step-father came to visit us in Colorado several years ago. MIL loves to play bingo, and FIL never gambled in his life. But loves westerns and stuff, so both were thrilled to be in Colorado, and go to Cripple Creek to play the slots a little.

So the guy tosses a quarter into a slot machine and wins $500 in his first try EVER! Poor guy thought he broke the machine! It was pretty funny.

He paid for dinner that night.

I think there's a guy watching the cameras from a very dimly lit room that makes all the machines pay when a beginner walks in.

My first time out to play blackjack I won about $350 off of $50. And precisely because of that first time out I've lost probably 10x that since.

Congrats on the win! Wife and I went to Vegas in December for a few days - didn't win anything but had a good time. There are a couple river boats not too far from us - we'd like to go for the evening but haven't had the chance. She just likes to play the nickel slots anyway, so it's a cheap night.

I win between 4 to 5 hundred every time I play the nickel slots. Course it cost me 6 hundred to do it.

My luck goes in the crapper everytime I hit a Royal.

I gotta thank every slot and video poker player for helping to pay my commissions over the years since I speced in most of the connectors inside these machines.
