Ohhhhhh....it must be a sign! 08.08.08. The end of the world!!! A friend of mine wanted to get married today, but said they couldn't because every single place was booked up for anything wedding related. I guess it would be a cool anniversary date.

Olympics begin today. Anyone plan on watching? I probably won't watch too much. I like to watch the track and field events but that's about it. Mayor Daley is supposed to be in China checking things out since he wants the Olympics here in Chicago in 2016.

Anything else going on today? I need to get my spare set of keys cut for the vette. I ordered them off ebay and they've been sitting in a drawer for the last week. I only have one set and I'd be f*d if I ever lost them, so I figured $15 is cheap peace of mind.

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

I put in an appearance in the office this morning, but will be leaving shortly to play in the company golf tournament. It's been a gorgeous week here, low 80's and sunny. Days are definitely getting shorter, though

At the office and counting down till 4:00. We leave for the coast tomorrow for a week.

Dow is up 190 points

Crude oil is down over $4.00 to $116.00 per barrel.

The dollar is up and most commodities are falling like a rock.(steel,coal,oil,gold etc.)

Finally Friday! This has been the week from hell...
Copier dies, one of the big printers lost 2 print heads, server problems, payroll screwed up....

Other than that, I've had a lovely week.....

I guess the good news was the US Customs didn't take my stuff I ordered from Sweeden (no, I didn't get blow up dolls or the pump.... I ordered a bunch on Snus, you can't get the good snus here in the us easily).

If things workout, I might even get my BMW GS into the shop and get the damn clutch replaced tomorrow (finally, it's been about 8 months to get to that project).....

Other than that, I intend to Snus and drink all weekend, and If I'm semi-functional; maybe even watch some of the Olympics......

It's the first weekend in awhile that I haven't had to race or prepare the car for a race (meaning fix the crappy C4 parts that failed). Planning to relax, putz on some home projects, and play lots of Forza.

And at multiple points during the weekend there will be beer involved.

Everything is fine........just fine.........

Worked from 8am to about 8:45. Then took the rest of the day off. Seems about ideal to me!

I got my CAGS eliminator in the mail last night, ordered a rear hatch weatherstrip (can't beat $50) And ordered an antenna mast from our very own Jeffvette.

So once all of that stuff is here, it's time for a little Vette party action! w00t!

I am beat...feel like lying down and sleeping for a few weeks. My platoon is about the sorriest platoon in the entire army. Cant wait till I leave this unit. Anyway, other than that I gots to mow the grass again this week.
