Just wanted to let you all know that we have plenty of parts to make more rod end suspension link kits for your C4s.  We also wanted to announce that we recently upgraded the spacers we use on the kit.  The new spacers are not tubular anymore but tapered.  This tapered design allows for maximum rotation of the rod end while also better distributing the clamping force of the nut and bolt.  Not only will this prevent damage to the aluminum suspension knuckle but it will prevent the spacers from sliding into the clearance holes of the frame brackets.  Below are a couple of pictures to illustrate.

Please check out our website http://www.banskimotorsports.com for all the details of these suspension kits as well as pictures of them installed on a customer's car.  Orders can be placed directly from our online shop.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us through this forum or our website.

as soon as I get some money I will be ordering a set. My bushings are totally shot, so I need to tear into it anyway.

Only problem is, I'm a motor guy, not a suspension guy. The adjustability has me a bit nervous, cause I don't wanna screw something up, and there are no half way decent alignment shops around here.

Nice!

Is it worth retrofitting the ones I bought?

If so, how much?

No need to be nervous.  The installation instructions tell you how to set the bolt to bolt length on the trailing arms the same as your stock links to start.  As time goes on and you're more comfortable, you can adjust as you see fit.  Once you have the length set just tighten the omega clamps and you should not have any worries.

As far as alignment, I'm willing to bet you could easily do it yourself.  Contact me off line and I can set you up with some instructions on DIY alignments.

Nice, did Gary turn those?

I do have a question. Is the larger OD of the tapered spacer bigger than the OD of the bearing race? If not, it should be or a larger washer should be used to prevent the shock from coming off.
You may have taken care of this, I can't tell from the pic.

This is a tech inspection item.

The ones I use are reffered to as tapered safety retaining washers and have a large OD flat lip along with the taper. But a large washer would do the same thing.

No, I do my own sourcing but we use some of the same vendors.

Yes they are. I was concerned that might be an issue which is why the OD is as large as it is.

Is there a standard for that? It may depend on the sanctioning body.

I don't know of a standard but it is a requirement where ome side of the rod bearing is not covered by a mounting boss. That's for SCCA and I would think that NASA has the same.

The ones I've used for years are at www.pegasusautoracing.com , look up p/n 3068-08.
The width probably wouldn't be right for what you're doing.
And again, you could use a larger OD washer to do the same thing. As long as the washer OD is larger than the rodend outer race OD, it would prevent the rodend from coming off the attachment point.

BTW, I do really like the kit especially the way you can secure the tubes without 2 jam nuts.

Thanks. It's always nice to get good feedback from members. The omega clamps replacing the jam nuts are the big selling point for us, along with the new spacers.
