There is another vette that looks like my 92 where I work, even the same color, however because of my schedule I have not been able to talk to the owner. It has the A-mold rims and insignia of the ZR1 but it does not look any different than mine. I thought all the ZR1s had the top mount brake lights, this one has his in the rear bumper like mine. The rear wheels are not 315's either. I would love to have a look under the hood, I have never seen a LT5 in person if that is what is there. What do you think?

it's not a Z.

You are right that all Z's have a top mounted HMSL.

Also, check the rear license plate frame... if it's a Z, there are a pair of large black plastic fill plates to absorb the extra width of the rear end.

Does the windshield have a purplish tint to it?

Look inside. Is there a key or switch in the bottom of the radio bezel?

Does the owner wear a matching polo shirt and hat? That would make it a legitimate Z.

I arrived at work yesterday and sitting in the parking lot was a "Real" ZR1, wow what a difference. Bright red, license plate inserts ( per bogus), top mount brake light, and those huge 315's (Goodyear F1's) on Sawblades, neatly tucked up in the fender wells. I work for a rather large company here (over 700 employees on all three shifts) so it may take some time to find the owner. I am guessing the fake is one of the maintenance guys and the real one is a suit. I have not seen the fake since I posted this thread, hmmm.

The answer is obvious, I need to buy a polo shirt and trade up to a ZR1.
