Ah yes, The Intergalactic Laxative. From the album Cosmic Wheels. How did you find that one Andy ? The whole album is, how shall I say this, interesting. I had it on vinyl then had our old pal Gavin burn me a copy to CD.

At least after I got past my teenage years, I was always a gentleman with the ladies. Nights In White Satin always reminds me of a really hot brunette girlfriend that I had for a few years back in the 80s. Anyway, we'd been out a few times and I'd never really pushed the issue yet, so to speak. She came over to the house one evening, lit some candles and turned down the lights. Then she put on this song and proceeded to have her way with me. Can't hear that song without thinking of that night and the many others that followed. Damn near married her, probably should have.

I never got to see them "back in the day." But I finally saw them in Charlotte back in 1999 and they hadn't lost a thing, they were phenomenal. Are You Sitting Comfortably - The Moody Blues |

You aren't the only one with a Moody Blues related story... it was summer 1993... and this girl I was rather attracted to and I were sitting on the couch... watching a MB concert on PBS... It didn't go as far, but it sure was a good thing for the summer... we didn't make it (thank God!!!) , mostly because she was a psycho bitch (at last count, she is on husband #3!), but that's another story.
The same song with a very 80's take: The Knights in White Satin video is a bit on the scary side... I mean, what's up with the scenary shots? I mean, what do they represent? Seems a bit pointless. Then again, the shots of the band were equally tragic. The hair is one thing, but the suits? What's up with that! |

I've been a Moody Blues fan since the 60's. I've gone to three Moody's concerts and "meditated" to their music countless hours. I made a special vacation package to Las Vegas just to see them at Ceasars Palace. I could make a Saturday just on them. :pills:

What defines "psychedelic" anyways?
I figured it was anything that requires being stoned to fully enjoy it. I think I'll light up and watch The Wall tonight. |
