I weatherproofed {to a degree} my old barn of a garage just in time. Winter came earlier than usual here. I usually drive my '91 'till first salt, so it is now sitting on blocks. The plenum, runners, and fuel rails are off. A 6" T40 1/4" hex shaft bit came in real handy on the runners. A new BBK 52mm throttle body is going on. I bought a Makita electric die grinder and a few cutters. The plenum is ported. My new SLP runners are ported and gasket matched. I have a large pile of alum. chips. My new matched 24# injectors are ready to go. The rocker covers are ready to be removed, repainted, and have my new Crane Gold 1.6x1.5 self aligning r.r's installed underneath. With my level iv tpis chip, TCI "breakaway" T.C., 3.07 rear, no cats, flowmaster cat back, and Nitto 315-35'D.R.'s, I plan on having a ball as soon as ice out. Living my dream.

Sounds like a good plan for this winter. It might keep you busy for at least a little while.

How bought some pics of the porting?

I'd like that to be one of my multiple winter projects once I find the time

this is one of the easiest sites to post pics on... transfer the pic from camera, make smaller, upload as attachment!

Simple!

If you EVER sell, you will wish you had photo-doc'ed and dated work.

The value of the vehicle will increase SUBSTANTIALLY.

Plus, takin' the time to do write-up allows you to think through stuff a little more, which helps with re-assembly, etc., ...

I got between 400 - 500 pics of my stuff in my computers and forums, with every detail possible, top end, block front/opti, interior breakdown, tranny filter swap, etc., ...

Cool I didn't know you were that close. I'm at I-55 and Weber. We should hook up some time and talk shop. If you want to post photos, you can do what Andy said, or get a free photobucket account. Easy to do!

Well, my daughter will be home in a couple of days so she can walk me through the picture posting thing. In the meantime, my rockers are on. I mothballed the stock valve covers, and installed a new set of Edelbrock elite series polished alum. covers. They are totally tits, as we used to say. Everything else is ready for reassembly, except now I'm waiting for my new TPiS "bigmouth" intake to arrive. I need to find out if larger than stock dia. lower runner gaskets are available. TPiS said my level 3 chip should be good until I dig deeper into the motor. Cold out, and snowing.

Well, the snow hasn't let up, so I'm sure you're still tinkering. How's the project coming?

(I just spent an hour hacking away at the ice on the driveway...did about a 10' x 2' section...awesome)

How are the projects coming? I started tearing my interior apart this week for the stereo redo. You'll have to check it out some time!

I'm happy to say the engine runs great. No leaks, fluid or vacuum. I had it on the road several times. It is still pulling at redline, 5800 or so. I don't want to overdo it. I think I picked up some power at the higher r's and probably extended my rpm range. I will have to wait for warm weather to find out. That will be hard to do.
