Good Morning CGs!

Well it's the beginning of a new week. Mother Nature must be mad at us here. It was almost 50* yesterday afternoon, but then it turned to horrible wind and freezing rain overnight and this morning. Reminds me of a girl I once knew...nice and warm at first, but then ice cold at night

So how was everyone's weekend? Anything exciting? Holiday shopping? I still have to pick up a few little things (I know, I procrastinate!). Oh well, maybe next weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I am done with Xmas shopping. Back to work today for me after my long weekend. It was a great break. Now I have a full 5 days ahead of me then next week will be day on day off. I have an appointment today and a few things to do at the office but for the most part nothing really going on this week. Maybe I will be able to get to the alturations shop and get my uniform straight. Been needing to do that for the last 3 weeks.

Greetings! Just got to the office after a delightful commute - I think at one point I got up to 35mph on the snow and ice-packed roads. Saw a few cars in the ditch and a number of accidents on the way. It is a balmy -8, headed for a high of -3. And 20-30mph winds to boot. It's that time of year when the weather tries to kill you.

I got to visit my Vette last night - the in-laws had us over for dinner. After today's drive, I'm glad it is tucked away. I ordered some black center caps for the wheels (sawblades) yesterday - I've always liked the look of the color-keyed caps on the Ruby, so I thought I'd try it out on my black car. I guess if I don't like 'em, I've spent more money on dumber things.

That's just too damned cold, I couldn't stand it. When I'm in places like that, I can't get warm no matter what. And I have lived up north, but I hated it.
It's supposed to be mild here all week, but gray and gloomy. I hate winter, had I mentioned that before?

Yesterday we decided to try and help Macy's generate a little extra revenue. I picked up a couple nice leather jackets for less than a third of suggested retail. A couple nice shirts, some perfume for the wife and a nice bathrobe for Nana. A bad economy is having a positive impact on my wallet. Now I have to come up with someplace to wear my nice new jacket.

Good Morning Gurus!

Was out and about with the masses shopping over the weekend. I do not see any signs of a slow economy at Kohl's or at the mall. Places are damn near packed solid!

Working on tying up loose ends this week at work. Five days to go, and most of that is going away lunches and packing.

I have one last commercial to shoot and edit for the company, then I'm on to my own stuff. Nothing in the immediate hopper right now, but I wouldn't mind laying low for a couple weeks. Every vacation I've taken for the last ten years was a working vacation. I could use a break. But I won't be surprised if I end up working.

Lots of snow and plenty of cold to go with it, here in southern Colorado.

Stay safe out there on the slippy stuff!

No ice or snow here in N GA, but a bit a chilly, drizzle this morning. Supposed to get near 70 on Thursday, but again rain and drizzle all week. I am enjoying another 3 day weekend, but bored today. Guess if it clears a little I might go cut some more firewood this afternoon.

Bonus. Went out to the plant nursery to drop off checks to wifey. There are a lot of farm trucks that drive by our corner on the way to the shippers. Todays bonus was a crate of pole beans that fell off the truck. You never know what will drop. Squash, tomatoes, okra, corn and other winter crops. The price is right. Free .........

Nice! Now you need to engineer that speed bump a little higher, and get the Brinks trucks to drive through there.

I been real busy trying to get Christmas stuff done and get my boat situated for the winter. The Vette is nice and warm too.

Saturday it warmed a pinch and I had the boat pulled out and pressure washed.

I hope everything settles down and I get to relax for Christmas.

Wow, Don, looks like your boat was happy to see you!

So I was late to work this morning with all the traffic. Awesome. I'm never late. I'm always the first one there. Oh well, I guess it happens every now and then. The fact that my car was one giant popsicle this morning sure didn't help.

Gonna go get a light workout in. Later.
