He's using the two finger steering wheel hold.

Owns a Ford.

Needs to trim finger nails?

Yeah the Ford key just seemed so out of place and just plain wrong while burning up Columbia in a Corvette.

I am pretty sure I lost a rod bearing. I talked to the shop today, and got a SWAG of $3-4K to fix it - pull the engine, complete tear-down, clean-up, and reassembly with whatever needs fixing. They are really backed up though, and it could take a month or more to turn it around. I'm going to check out a couple other places tomorrow.

The guy said he sees this bearing failure once in a while on cars that sit for long periods or aren't driven regularly. He told me that the wrist pins can seize up a bit and it puts more strain on the bearings.

Yeah, I have been mulling that over, though I would kind of like to keep the original engine.

3-4G....Good Grief......Sorry to hear that Brad....
I guess you could put a used motor in it, and keep the original to fix up later?

Wow, that's too bad. But, you sound like you're more worried about the downtime than the cost. If so, that's a good thing.
A high mile car, I'd go with what the other said and look at a new short block. Whatever you do, hope you get it done fast.

Oooops. I got your car confused with another. I take it back then. I'd fix it too.
