Hi everyone.
Sorry for the troubles there Tommy. If I could, I’d buy you a beer.
I’m still working a bunch, and now it’s looking like another guy has self terminated as he hasn’t shown up since last Wednesday. I’m finally gonna get a couple days off this weekend. It’s been a while.
Took the old pooch to the vet this morning. He’s been down and now not eating. They gave us pills and eye drops, and a blood test. All this for only $400. There goes a week of OT.
Have a great one Gurus!

Morning guys....it was 39 this morning. It’s 51 now and headed to upper 60s to low 70s today. It’s out last full day here, tomorrow we will head for home and the heat that is still there.

Nothing planned for today, I’ll start packing some of the stuff in the car. It has been a good week, but we have to return to reality.

Tommy your life right now sounds like you need a bottle of whiskey and a vacation, which is upcoming, but needs are more pressing. So very sorry for all the things you're having to deal with right now, and hope your wife's luggage pilfering gets handled and MIL is allright. I went back to read what I've missed the last few days. Seems weekends I'm never on my forums anymore always doing crap at home and when I'm not, I try to have some disconnect time. Recent rains here have worsened our already leaking back patio roof. I figured it was something simple, he did too and it kinda was but took a couple days to correct. Whole thing needs tore off and redone but that's a solid nope at this point. a ripped shingle was allowing water to run behind the flashing around the fireplace. There were other concerns but that's the main spot it seems. Finally all back together.
Nursing home woes continue, her broken leg is healing but she's still bed bound and mighty pissed off at it. The nursing home in the town I work (Jonesboro, AR) is owned by the same folks and turns out not paying them. Department of Health and Human Services just took over both places. I'd love to have a word with whoever is in charge of it all.

A dark cloud continues to loom, wreaking havoc and causing mechanical failures all around me. Of course all this the week before vacation. Could be worse I guess. Could happen the week of our vacation when we're away and can do little about it. I've been pulling 10 to 12 hour days for the past week and a half. Replaced the irrigation pump yesterday. It runs but trips the breaker after awhile. Some lady driving by the nursery just freaked out because of a spider in her car and mowed down our trash containers that were out for for scheduled pick up. What got trashed was her car. She had kids or a kid on board. Sue's there . She'll help the lady out. How long before the woman's story changes to the trash cans jumped out in front of her? ;) Got to get some essential stuff done. .... Later.

Hey guys...slept in this morning. Then ate a little breakfast. 46 when we headed out the door to go to the golf course. Mid 70s now. The golf was better today.

We walked over to the Rec center, and while Rosie swam, I sat in the hot tub. Tonight we are going to the hot springs to soak.

SUNNY AND MILD THIS LAST MORNING OF SEPTEMBER, ENOUGH BREEZE TO BE COMFORTABLE.

TOOK HARVEY IN EARLY FOR A COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH AND NEW ANTIFREEZE, WHICH WAS LONG OVERDUE. IT'S AUTO ROTATION DAY AND I SHOULD GET STARTED ON THE END OF MONTH TASKS BEFORE THE FIRST ROLLS AROUND.

Mickey, my mom's cat has joined her in the hereafter. Ruptured bladder. The expense to save him did not make sense for a 14 y/o cat. We 're taking about 6k just to stabilize him then add a three member surgical team to do corrective surgery after that. Another member of our entourage have joined the Great Spirit. Sue's mom is resting in the hospital. Sue said she doesn't think she could take one more death right now.

I got the well pump removed. Wait till the irrigation shop opens tomorrow morning and I'll buy the pump. I'll get to do some plumbing and some light electrical work. Just got most of the grass cut. Still have the back yard to do here at home. Then I get to work some of my carpentry skills. I will be glad to get back to my normal routine. Hell, my normal routine is a full+ time job. I'm not even treading water right now I'm behind big time.

Hey guys... after the long day, yesterday, 4 wheeling, we slept in a little then went to church. Not much planned for today. Just lounging around some while recuperating. The wind, sun and beating around in the 4 wheelers tuckered us out.

Good Morning CGs!

Been holding things down at the fort lately. Always something to do. Progress on the Corvette has stalled. I've got new parts installed but I need to set the valve lash. Apparently you can't find motivation in a can....I've looked everywhere.

Lots of rain here the past few days. Flooding by my mom's house but she's safe. She's on higher ground and the river is a couple of miles away.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Weather is sunny, hot and dry, but our personal lives are caught up in a shit storm. Sue's mom was not feeling well on the plane on he way home. Difficulty breathing. No medically trained people on board. the pilots dis their best to accelerate the flight and MIL was feeling a little better breathing oxygen. Fire rescue met the plane at the gate and took her off. Checked out all her vitals and said she was stable enough to be taken directly to the hospital in the personal vehicle. The ambulance would have taken her to a different hospital then where her doctors and records are. Turns out she's been having mini strokes throughout the week. She's in the hospital undergoing a battery of tests. Sue went into work this morning and one of my mothers cats were lethargic. Sue ran him to the vet but our vet said he needs in house treatment and tests over a couple of days. His liver and kidney counts are all out of whack. I went out and fed the fish and went to turn on the pump that irrigates the yard and adds water to the fish pond. Not working. Kicking the breaker. Spent the dat with our security camera guy replacing defective cameras and fine tuning the system Got home from that at 03:30. Now I have grass to mow. Tomorrow I have to work on the shed. Electricians coming in Monday. The water heater they're supposed to wire has not showed up at the plumbing supply and was ordered over a week ago. But wait ........ There'e more .. Ah, that's enough sharing for one session ..... Later .....

They harvested the soybeans on the field across the road last night....winter really is coming....

Morning guys.....up and around today. Getting ready to head south to our friends/neighbors from home, place in New Mexico. They have a 4-wheeler/side-by-side/Jeep trip planned for today, along with some of their friends from down there. Should be a fun day. It’s about a 45 minute drive down there, so we need to hit the road pretty soon.

Tommy, the container looks awesome. The painter did a nice job.

Sue called her journey to Ohio a trip from hell. Someone rifled through her luggage looking for valuables in the hotel room. She logged a complaint with security at the hotel. They said they's look into it. She's on her way back now. Should have landed already. Waiting for a call to pick her up at her mom and dads house. Been a busy week. I work harder when she's gone than when she's here. Of course it means I have to do everything around the house. I did minimal at the nursery. Can't really do both effectively.

Morning guys...slept in this morning. Slept like a log. It’s cool out, 46 now and headed to a high in the low 70s. Sunny now, but clouds moving in around noon.

Not a lot planned for today, a walk, maybe some golf and probably a little drive south to meet up with our neighbors from home. They have a place south of here about 40 miles (in New Mexico) and they came up yesterday after work (they must have arrived about 11pm). They have wanted us to come down and see there place for several years, it just never worked out that we were both here at the same time. So that might be on the agenda today as well.

I trust all of you will have a great day....later guys.

Hey guys... Made it to southwest Colorado. Three short stops. Was hoping that the trees would be in their fall colors, but not much change yet. Maybe we could have done 007....

It’s mid 70s here at 7500’ elevation, and sunny. Was cloudy all the way up to Wolfe Creek Pass, then on the western slope, the clouds cleared and the temps went up. It was 62 at the pass (10600’ elevation).

Well, we are unpacked and need to go get some groceries.

Any diagnostic tool that will save time is worth its weight in gold.

Working out back on the walls cutting out the holes for the plumbing fixtures. Little margin for error. I got the sink and toilet piece cut and placed. Next the shower wall only two holes for that. The last one had 6. Got it right. Did the hard one first and I'm glad I did. Got hit with a case of dragging ass. Having some coffee as I write.

+1 on the Dems argument. I'm sick to death of it. They failed at other attempts now they are looking for another route.

From yesterday - I was LOL when Gris asked 'what proof is biofreeze' lmao.
Tommy that is something you can get at WalMart, etc however I'm told the concentration is better at the doc/massage office, etc. Not sure on the legitness of that claim. It's good stuff though. Also, at the big box stores, you can get something called Tiger Balm. Start with the 'normal' one as the more intense one may be difficult on sensitive skin.
Rainy here today, again, at least I don't have to water plants, it's being done for me. Although our roof repairs made things better, we came home to some more leaks out on the patio last night. And in the middle of dealing with that, the cousin from the nursing home gets on the phone to me whining about needing paper towels. W-T-F!? I'm kinda BUSY! She don't get it. This folks is why I never had kids.
Wanted to go to the Petit Jean swap meet this weekend but Arron says he's scheduled jobs all weekend. And after seeing a receipt in the truck for Matco, I now know why. He has a new thingamabob plus some other goodies:

The f'n Dems are desperate....they do not care about how well the country is going or the improvements made they are only fixated on getting rid of Trump.... all good people need to come to the defense of the country we love...the country our forefathers brilliantly put together and died to keep. Now we have those that would change all that into a socialistic State where the Government is our God and keeper....in this La La land they imagine they will take from you and give to someone else because they can.......

To arms, to arms I say, we must protect this sovereign Nation from those within who would destroy it......

wow..... I've inspired myself...... I better write some letters today..... onward Christian soldiers .......

Have a really fine day Guru's.......

Thanks for the heads up on biofreeze. I have been using Bengay fading scent. I tried IcyHot and doesn't come close to the relief I get from BenGay. Hot shower, ibuprofen, Bengay on my back and knees, then spray my exposed parts with Coppertone 30. The more I move the looser I get till it starts going the other way. Then the later it gets the tighter I get. An evening hot shower and another round of ibuprofen and some time in the recliner usually does the trick. If I can drink N/A beer I guess I can do cannabinoids without THC.

Massage was wonderful. My therapist is very good. Asks me about my issues/complaints/concerns and gives extra attention to those.

Not much else accomplished...car is loaded and we are ready to leave as soon as we get around in the morning.

Tommy, there are hundreds of strains of weed, and basic classifications of sativa and indica. Sativa is more a benfit for elevated activty whereas Indica is more for relaxation or prior to sleep. There's many strains of each individually and mixed. This is where CBD oil becomes handy. You get the beneficial effects without the 'high'. It's my opinion thus far that there's no need to 'smoke weed' for issues when CBD is readily available and less costly.
Regarding chiropractic care, you not receiving benefits goes back to what I mentioned prior about the doctor evaluating your case to determine if a different course of treatment would be more helpful. For example, if you have spurs or herniations, that's a surgical issue for which he should refer you. That's not something he can help as it's a physical deformation issue. Tight muscles pulling your bones the wrong way causing pressure points between otherwise normal discs, etc, is somethng he can remedy. Also, for pain, have you tried biofreeze?

I believe the connection between the nervous system and other functions and nerves throughout the body. I have had remarkable recoveries from acupuncture treatments but I fail to continue treatments beyond initial stages. I had years of chiropractic treatment from a reputable chiropractor but in the end I felt I was not making any significant gains. I still had back pain. I always found opioids helpful but all they do is mask the injury. Thinking of trying Mary Jane therapy but it usually makes me sleepy and socially removed. I understand though that there are hundreds of strains. Maybe I need to sample some and see if I can find one that works for me. Maybe one that if you say something like "Hello" I 'll fall on the floor laughing. Medical marijuana is legal in Florida.

Tommy, I do take supplements regularly, I take a daily vitamin, Vitamin D3, Omega 3-6-9, progesterone cream, etc. I try to eat decent also. Not perfect but have made a big diet switch. Adding more protein, healthy fats and healthy carbs. I need to be up moving more, my job is 10 hour a day sit down. That isn't good for my back alignment or anything else, including hip flexors, digestive system, caridovascular system, nothing but a numb ass.
Marcus, there's truth to the CBD oil also but ensure you get one that has proper strength and avoid one with extras. A good reputable company will provide their lab sheets out in the open. Try Hempworx. I've even added a marijuana stock to my itty bitty portfolio.
Gris - a lot of Chiropractors do give the good ones a bad name. A good one will take information from you regarding pain issues, etc, and he will also do xrays to determine there isn't an other undlerlying issue before he treats you. If he sees anything beyond his scope he will refer you to the appropriate medicdal professional. If they do not do this, leave and decline treatment. All your organs and body parts are controlled by nerves. Those run from your brain through your spinal column and branch out to other areas to provide information pathways to the organ/part. Think of plugging a lamp in then setting a refrigerator on the cord. Cord damaged, lamp wont' work right. Similar principle. What most don't understand is that yes, it takes more than one visit. Your muscles have to be taught to hold a bone in a new position. That's impossible to do with just one adjustment. You can't build biceps with just one pushup, it takes several. And, most chiropractors have many more clinical hours required for licensing in additional to regular MD. Check credentials before you accept treatment. The one I visited has been here practicing for 25 years or so and was a colleague of someone else I used to be treated by.
Massage therapy is also beneficial if you have a good massage therapist. Medical massages are wonderful and sometimes insurance will cover.
Agreed this age related shit is for the birds. I'm not having any of it if I can help it. I have a skateboard, dirt bike and four wheeler I want back on and a kickboxing bag that still has my name on it at the gym. I plant to get back to them.

LETTY, I WOULDN'T GET TOO CONCERNED OVER A CHIROPRACTOR'S COME-ONS. AS A GROUP THEY ARE A VERY COMMERCIALLY MINDED FOLK, AND WILL ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TREATMENT. THERE'S GOLD IN THEM THAR ILLS :-)

YOU MIGHT GET AS GOOD RESULTS FROM A GOOD MASSAGE THERAPIST.

This age related body degeneration shit is for the birds. I've been battling spinal osteoarthritis and knee issues since my 20's. Makes it easier to bear since I've had arthritis related pain most of my adult life. I wonder if you might benefit from any nutritional supplements, Letty. Maybe some delicious fish oils or cartilage support stuff. I don't take them but they might help you. Working on the stuff I've been working on. Later.

Feels like fall here also, and it's gloomy looking out. Dreading this type of weather during the year, spikes the depression.
Tee that sounded like a busy day and bout made me tired reading all that. Sounded like a good productive day.
My day yesterday started with a chiropractor 'new patient' visit. Xrays and the usual 40 questions. Turns out I have mild scoliosis, which I knew and doesn't appear to have gotten any worse. However the new things of disc compression, spurs, calcification etc worry me. Said I had the spine of a 70-year old. Also, saw some early stages of degenerative arthritis in hips and a couple other places. Worries me also. I'm not old enough for this. My physicals have been coming back great then to see all that mess.
Hoping for a nice quiet day at the office today, not past going home and going back to sleep.
On the car front - does anyone elses's C6 bark at you to fasten your seatbelt when it's already fastened?
