I was 12, my brother was 14. We ran away to go to Woodstock, but our local cops caught us hitch hiking and took us home. We didn't get past the front of our neighborhood.

Saw it on O'Reily. It's a fake. Notice that when the dude takes off he's going head first, when he comes off the ramp he's feet first.

Don't heat it, it's 4 1/2 feet deep. If it more than 18" deep it won't totally freeze in TN.
It is really cool in the winter though because the waterfall freezes over but the water still pumps under the ice.

A koi is a fancy Japanese Carp.

Morning ya'll. Need some motivation. Just can't seem to get myself out and get primer on the 79'. Maybe if I get out tonight and tape everything up I'll be able to spray in the morning early.
Been rough this week at the shop, and we had a bunch of landscaping done to tie the Koi pond in with the house and the rest of the yard. So I'm out watering new trees, bushes and plants for 45 minutes every evening. Cuts in to my Fly tying time, but it will all be worth it in the long run.
Anyone else on here have a Koi pond? I've had mine about 10 years now. It's about 3,000 gallons.

Morning ya'll. Well I didn't get the primer on. My wife had way more important things for me to do. (in her mind any way) So I spent the weekend weed eating and shampooing every rug and piece of cloth covered furniture in the house. Oh well, maybe I'll go fly fishing this afternoon. Have a good week ya'll.

33 Years here Tommy. Been there done that. .... So you can't let people see the cash, but the flash of the bracelet won't attract attention?

Kinda been procrastinating but I think I might get some primer on the 79' this weekend. Getting awful close to really good cruising weather. Don't want to miss a minute of it.

I've had an old addiction kick in. Got back Monday night from a 3 day fishing trip on Lake Erie. Picked up a nice used Fly Rod and a good beginners Fly Tying kit, and I'm going this weekend or next to pick up a 14" John boat and trailer in Huntsville, AL. It's equipped with a stearng wheel, Trolling motor & a 25hp Mercury engine.

The 79' won't suffer any loss of attention though.

Lake Erie is really a strange lake. It can be calm as glass one minute and have 6-8 ft swells the next. Plus it is very, very choppy. Did you catch some nice Walleye? They are definitely good eating.

Didn't get a chance to go for Walleye. The weather was really bad while I was there. We did limit each time on perch though. Fixin ta have a fish fry.

Back at the shop today after 2 days of travel and 3 days of fishing Lake Erie. Great trip, but I've never fished a lake like that before. It beat me to death. I'm used to nice calm TN lakes. But it was a great adventure. We fished 2 different spots out of Painsville. Can't remember the names. I went with my retired Uncle that fishes up there everyday.
Already planning my next one. It will be Fly fishing, but not sure where yet.

Finished stripping the 79' yesterday. Now I've got to do a quick wet sand before priming. It's getting closer.
After that I did a couple hours fishing the creek. Nice exercise walking a few miles in the water. Caught a couple small bass. I did use my new cast net though. Hadn't thrown one in about 15 years. It all came back to me after a while.

I'm leaving Wednesday afternoon going to Ohio. Gonna walk the Ohio Grand for Small Mouth if the rain lets up up there. If it doesn't we'll find somewhere to fish. Maybe hit the lake.

Damn it's nice to be able to take some time for fishing after all these years.

Didn't spend any money except fifty bucks for lunch. (i like to eat good) I did find a couple of new printer set ups I'm gonna invest in though.

One digitally prints full color graphics directly on shirts and stuff like that, even on dark shirts with white ink so I won't have to have a white point start. (digital guys will appreciate that) Unlike Heat Transfer or silk screening, this forms directly into the fabric. Really cool concept. 9 year solvent inks so the graphic will well outlast most garments under normal wear and tear.

One is just a pad printer for cups, hats, pens, golf balls and stuff like that, but I can do short run instead of having to do hundreds of a piece to make anything.

The other is full digital semi sublimation on Crystal peices for plaques and stuff, or personal stuff like shots of our rides.

I love new toys.

Depends on what type of paint you're going back with. If you're spray bombing you can wet sand them down with 220 grit. If you're going to use real paint they'll have to be stripped completely of the PO's spray bomb, because any paint with a reducer and/or hardener will eat it off and then you've really got a mess.
That is unless they've come up with a new real paint I haven't heard of yet.

Sup ya'll.
The 79' is slowly inching towards paint. Found out I had to pull the door glass out to remove the mirrors because they blocked one nut on each mirror. So that's what I did. Oh well, one thing leads to another I guess.

Happy late B-Day Tommy.
I spent all day Saturday taking off door handles, locks, lights and stuff like that for the final sanding before primer.
I slept yesterday after Church.

Fiddle Player? Check out the left hand of the banjo player.

My Dad had his right arm shot off in a hunting accident when he was 12. There was a nub left about 4" below his elbow. There was nothing my Dad couldn't do though. He even used to drive dirt track races when I was a kid.
Once when I was about 16 there was a few of us sitting in my basement playing guitars. Dad came down and was wrapping a cloths hanger around his nub and said give me that guitar son. Damned if he didn't start throwing out some cords with us.

I miss my Dad.

They've gone away with the first coat and there's a good hard shell primer over the original coat so I'm hoping for the best. If I get any burn from the first fog primer coat I'll regroup and go to the glass. Hope I don't have to though. Kind of surprised me though, the top coat was a really bad job. Acts like there's no hardner in it, but the primer is quality. May have ran out of cash or tried to save money.

Mornin' ya'll.
Got a lot of sanding done on the 79 yesterday. Man it takes it out of me these days, even with an A/C garage.
Thought I was gonna have to go all the way to the glass because of spider webbing in the paint, but it turns out that the last paint job was all that was cracking. The original is in good shape. It's all coming back to me now too, memory wise. I'll be able to tell any trouble spots with the first fog coat of primer. But that's a little down the road.
Tried catching up on the news this morning before I left for the shop but all they were showing is that MJ is still dead. Has anything else happened in the world in the last few days?
