Good Morning CGs!

Well, I stayed up way too late last night looking up stupid crap on the internet. Of course now I'm paying the price because the wife thought it would be nice to wake me up at about 7:15. So maybe I'll have to wake her up on Sunday morning at 5:30 when I get up for work. Seriously. It's my day off, why harass me? MF.

Got a busy day ahead. Gonna try to bust up a little more concrete in the yard. After that one of our friends is supposed to stop by for a little afternoon grilling. Then at 7 we have a local church carnival to stop by. I also have to stop by the home depot and pick up a few things. Ugh.

Any other Friday plans?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

It's my weekly mow the grass and wash a work truck day. It's gonna be hot. Normal for a tropical climate. Enjoy the day, and if you can't, at least get something done.

Not much here, I need to deliver the cabinet doors I built, then, hopefully, get the Corvette ready for the show tonight. Have a good day today.

Good Morning Gurus!

Light day today. Write a script and finish compiling my dad's family movies.

Might start on the injectors (arrived yesterday afternoon). If it takes the average idiot an hour, then my car may be down for a week.

Happy Friday!

It was a balmy 57 and cloudy when I got up this morning - feels more like October than January.

I remember busting up concrete - some years back, we expanded the driveway to go around the side of the garage. In preparation, I had to remove a basketball hoop that we'd installed next to the driveway, and then had to get rid of the concrete that held the post in. So I was out there for quite some time in the sweltering July heat, swinging a BFH to bust that thing up, in the process chipping my glasses with flying concrete bits. When the paving guys arrived, I asked one of them if I had removed enough of the concrete. He said, "Oh, we'll just pop that out with the bobcat".

Good morning ya'll. Today's plans are simple - clean and prep the Vette for a car show tomorrow. I very rarely enter it in shows, but going to this time. Maybe I will post a picture or two when i get done prepping it.

I had a 18 ft X 45 ft concrete pad to bust up about 4 years ago. At one time there had been a mobile home on our property before the house was built. The pad was left behind so it was my project to use a 8lb sledge and break it up. Then I hauled the chunks to the side of the driveway where there was a steep slope down to a creek and built up the slope. After that I loaded and hauled about 50 pick up trucks of dirt in and covered the concrete chunks. Then filled where the slab had been, levelled it and put down zoysia sod. All done by hand, it did take several months to get it all done.

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

Well, things are looking much better at work.. It's been a rough ride...

Some friends/coworkers didn't make the cut, so that sucks...
Hopefully, they'll find something better..

Back to sanding for me. Took a break on the 79' due to the flu, but I think I'm ready again.

Heading to British Columbia in the Vette for the weekend.
Can't wait to get her in the mountains. My bil is taking his 07 C6; should be a blast. This will be the longest journey in the C4 yet, hope she makes it.

Jim, sounds like a fun trip...enjoy.

Busting concrete...huummmm, I would just cal a friend with a backhoe and take it out that way....but then, that's one of the perks for living in a farming region and small community.

It's been a pretty enjoyable morning here, not too hot yet.

Looking good! I have one of those WindJammer things, too, but I'm probably going to sell it. Been storing my dust collection on it ever since I got my targa bar.

Good morning, Gurus.

I thought I was going to have a nice uneventful day at home / at my desk all day, but now it seems I may have an early lunch with another consultant. I also have a phone meeting this afternoon. All of a sudden, the day feels full. Ah well, I've already been pretty productive morning via email.

Happy Friday!

I just got some crest whitening strips. Look how leitmotif is.

Andy - car looks great!

Donnie - I can't wait to see the 79 when you're all done. Are you doing anything custom or just a single color?

As far as the concrete goes, it was a snap with that "spud bar" (I had to look up the name, I never knew what it was called). In about 10 minutes I had the rest of the concrete broken up that I needed to. Already grilled before working, so now I'm gonna work out. Rain looks like it's coming, but we might still make it to the carnival after all. We'll see.

Matthew

Absolutely incredible. We put in a contract on a foreclosed property last night. We got approved for the sale today and closing before the 7th of August. We bought an 872 sq foot home on an 83' x 105' lot with a 6' fence and a carport for $51,900. $59 a sq. ft. Cenral A/C and doesn't need a lot of work. I might have got a cheaper deal but it would have been riskier and could have lost out on a great opportunity by someone outbidding me. I'm happy and my wife is happy with it so that's what's most important. Busy in retirement.
