Good Morning CGs!

Happy Friday everyone. I know everyone's been waiting for the end of the week. Supposed to be a hot one today, and in the 90s over the weekend! Looks like I have to get the pool ready for some swimming, huh? I actually went in the other day, but haven't spent nearly enough time in it this year. Oh well.

We'll be going out to breakfast soon with wifey's brother, a tradition we used to have when I worked nights, but fell by the wayside since I work days now (not for much longer). Also have some yardwork to get yo. After that I'm gonna get in a workout and then later tonight tinker with the neighbor's truck again. Full day!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The wife popped a big question............ Soft voiced and pleading without pleading........What do we have planned for this weekend? Honey, Would you like to work a (trade) show with me this weekend? My wife does work very hard and it's difficult to turn her down when she asks.... So, looks like I'll be manning a booth at the show. It ain't so bad .... I can always take off any day I want. I just don't take many off ....

Man, what a grueling week - had to work yesterday AND today - sure glad the weekend is upon us! Gonna get out the garlic and crucifix to ward off any honey-do list items.

Have a great day, everybody!

No tee time this morning, but it it rained off and on last night so it will be a while until the course will be open. The daughter and family, who have been up here with us, will be heading home today. They have a 12 hour drive vs our 6, and with 4 kids it will be much longer than that.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning ya'll. Need some motivation. Just can't seem to get myself out and get primer on the 79'. Maybe if I get out tonight and tape everything up I'll be able to spray in the morning early.
Been rough this week at the shop, and we had a bunch of landscaping done to tie the Koi pond in with the house and the rest of the yard. So I'm out watering new trees, bushes and plants for 45 minutes every evening. Cuts in to my Fly tying time, but it will all be worth it in the long run.
Anyone else on here have a Koi pond? I've had mine about 10 years now. It's about 3,000 gallons.

Don't heat it, it's 4 1/2 feet deep. If it more than 18" deep it won't totally freeze in TN.
It is really cool in the winter though because the waterfall freezes over but the water still pumps under the ice.

A koi is a fancy Japanese Carp.

Good morning Gurus!

Safe journey for you and your family, teebee!

Friday... Wifey should be home tonight, and be working in town for awhile. So I'll actually see her in the evenings.

I have no plans for the weekend, but I am going to try and get the Vette out of the garage before I hit the 90 day mark of not driving it. Sad really...

One of the things that keeps me from using it more is the fact that it cannot hold my camera gear. My light kit is the biggest culprit. I'm about to throw $500 at a new kit that is much more compact. The kit I have is pretty beat up, and super bulky. I'm not brave enough to hoist a 60 lb hard case into the hatch. New kit is maybe 20 lbs and half the size. Uses projector lenses like on newer cars. I'm pretty geeked about it, if you can't tell.

It would be nice to have the opiton of taking the Vette on a shoot.

Enjoy the weekend, ladies and gents!

So can you stock it with some bass as well?

We used to live on a private lake stocked with Bass and Walleye. I could walk out the front door, plus 100' to my dock and catch a lot of fish. It was actually too easy, but there is nothing like seeing a large mouth bass break water.

Good morning, Gurus!

Everyone seems to be in a great chipper mood today! I woke up to the UPS beeping away, but all seems okay. Should be nice a mellow today - get a little work done, have lunch, run some errands.

Happy Friday!

Game change:
1 - use the word of the day in funny
2 - use the word in a sentence in its real meaning!

********************

Word of the Day for Friday, August 14, 2009

celerity
\suh-LAIR-uh-tee\, noun:

Rapidity of motion or action; quickness; swiftness.

Word of the day makes my day. bastet messes me up when she doesn't deliver or when the word of the day folks take a break. This forum takes the place of my multi-vitamin.
