Geez I get up a little late and this place has already gone bananas. Brad I thought that was very considerate of you with your neihbor that and that you wanted to quit anyway I'm thinking. Matt hope you get your car figured out. Tommy, one foot in front of the other and just git er done.
ITS FRIDAY! What a long week, got stuff to do today but staying close in. Had to put a MAF on My Duramax yesterday. Weird, engine went to half power and the ck engine lite came on. Ran the code and it was the MAF. Replaced and it runs real good now. Better get at it, enjoy your day Guru's!

I figured out how to get the codes and it read 09 low freon.
I also replaced the fan speed modual so I now have all 10 fan speeds. Nice! I had this done at the shop I use when in a hurry. They also took the heater fan housing off and cleaned all the crud out which there was a lot. I am on a road trip this weekend so wanted it all working. It is pushing a lot more air and it is colder then it was. The control module was pricy, 2 bills. Yikes! GM part. Even NAPA was the same price as the Chevy store. Works good now, thanks for the help!

Good morning Brad, thanks for starting things off. Tommy is probably so sore from handaling all those big rocks that he can't type......Just had a big lightning stike near here. Flash then a huge BOOM. Dog jumped a foot in the air and then in my lap all shaking and whinning. Hit around here somewhere....unbelievable power.
That guy with the C5 called yesterday and told me he would take 14K for the car. I said I am not trying to beat you down it is not a good time for me right now with taxes and weddings going on. If I showed up with that it would be like......well it wouldn't be good! Nice car though.....don't do anything stupid, don't do anything..... The 90 was low on Freon. I finally figured out how to read the codes and it threw an 09. I am also fixing the fan speed switch or whatever it is called so I should have that working also now. Gotta go, have a good day guru's!

Ahh the school of hard knocks. I have so many degrees! The thing about a job like that Tommy is that you have to figure a way to get through it because it has to be done. Take a look at it and see if there isn't ways to make it go eaisier. Or get a bunch more guys to help. Hope it all works out for you.
I have a full slate of things today to get done and everyone wants their stuff right now. I told them after I check in on Guru then I will get the stuff for them. I was wondering about the C6R's that won the race last weekend. What do they do to those cars to get them ready for the next race. totally rebuild them? New engines and trannys? When I think of the punishment the cars take running wide open for 24 hours it amazes me. You guys have a good day! Wave at someone on the way to work today it will freak them out.

Luckly we did not have a lot of the forclosures happen out here in flyover country. It is a buyers market if you have cash. Phoenix has a lot of homes for sale cheap.
Cool and cloudy here again......makes working outside nicer. It takes about 2700 heat units to make a corn crop and on average we are way behind the norm at this point. That can catch up as the summer progresses but it holds back the normal growth curve of the crop. Which means late harvest. It takes sunshine to make energy to set a big ear of corn and without that energy the yields will lag.........just keeping you up on the hot topics in the coffee shops around the area. Don are Maryland crabs better then Delaware crabs? Just wondering.... Gotta go get to work, I will check in later, it's big Tuesday so man up and let's get it done Guru's.....

Brad is that a treated wood deck? What did you decide to come back with? Bummer it's Monday, the milk was sour and no replacement so I had to use chocolate milk in my oatmeal. I don't hate it. The IRS is trying to deliver a letter that I have to sign for......that can't be good. Why aren't you sending us all your money so we can run in the hole faster? It is cool and cloudy also. Can't grow corn when it's cool and cloudy. My air conditioning quit on the Vette....nuts! Other than that I am glad I got my health and a great family and a job to go to. Was out for a cruise today and hit the Interstate and rolled up the windows and turned on the air. The little light indicator over the buttons started blinking when I hit Auto (electronic air)and the blower fan came on and pushed warm air out only.
I ran the codes like the manual says but it did not show any. It did read oo but that was it unless I am doing it wrong. I also checked the fuses and they are good. Any ideas Gentlemen........it has been working fine. I had them check the freon this spring when they did the exhaust system. (they did tell me the air was blowing cold, so that might have been the extent of their check) The compressor is not doing anything when Auto is selected. Low pressure switch maybe? Thanks!

I notice that not a lot of folks have trouble with the L98's unless they have done the 383 with a lot go fast stuff and then it is always the tune. The tuning of these cars seems to me to be more of an art form than a science. Mick has it down to a science I think, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of his caliber around.
I am a little wary of the average tuner out there.

Nice shop Bill.......its your own fault Jeff, out here you can get paid to bring rain.......your car looks great! I just use the 9 over rule and haven't had much trouble....but I like to drive faster at times sooooo maybe I should invest, do they still make Fuzzbusters?

Matt #2 is nice......they are both good though. Fell asleep in the big chair watching the race and finally went to bed. Now I am back up watching. Yikes hope the Corvette hangs together.

NAPA Sound Masters for my 90. No drone, inexpensive. Maybe they make them for an LT set up.

Ended up catching up in the office and riding along in the #74 car at La Mons. Love the way that car sounds going up through the gears. You can ride too......speed.com/corvette

I like being the passenger in the #74 car as it runs up and down through the gears. I think my 90 sounds kinda like that........mmmmm ok not so much.

I was up late watching some movie last night so got up late and then did exercises and now thinking I should tackle the shop today.....I also want to watch some of the race. Weather is nice here today. More later...

I find these old threads very interesting. I know that Chris is still around but don't ever see Case the Corvetteman anymore and NC Kid has not been on much. They were posting when I got started in 09. I am interested in the history of the site.
