Tommy nice to see your voice, hope you had a good time and I hear what you are saying. It's rainy here today and we woke up to no water. That makes things interesting. We are on our own well and the pressure switch was bad so after a call to the plumbers it's all fixed. Plumbers are our friends!

Man, you guys are bashing my mill! They may be hard to work on but at least they're slow, damit! And like any other boat anchor they are fairly reliable. Also the distributer is where God intended it to be and I think ECM's, if you ever need them, can be got for a C note.

Since I am on a roll here, in my brief time on the Guru site I believe there have been a lot more weird can't figure it out problems on the LS stuff then the time honored and Respected L98. What say you? Can I get a little help from my L98 brothers!

Been gone this weekend to a family gathering in a small village about 90 miles away. Ultrawoman and Ultraboy went early to help get stuff ready on Friday and I followed later on. I took the Vette and showed it off to all the brother in laws and aunts and uncles.

They all like it a lot and we did our normal eat eat eat and watch football and play some games. We stayed in a crummy motel that still charged 100 bucks a night. What's up with that? The toilet wouldn't flush and the seat was broken and the TV was bad. We didn't have much choice where to stay but I told them they were charging to much.

I did get my AAA discount. I don't mind paying if its a nice joint but this wasn't. Anyway I got a chance to enjoy the Vette and love the way it runs and looks and goes down the road and everything else about it.

I get that dizzy thing when I get my head in a weird angle and a lot of times it's when I am under the cars or truck trying to raise my head up and holding it up for awhile. It's a muscle thing in my neck and started after a motorcycle wreck back a long time ago. I usually go to a bone cruncher and he gets everything all lined up and adjusted, then I will be ok for awhile. You might want to try that Don. Gotta go rest up before Monday.

Hot and windy here today. Got stuff going this weekend and meetings all day today. Not much else going on.

Big Red looked good last night against K-State. I think we got a QB that can get it done by the looks of it. Lot of season left.

I have a 90 and did my own tune up last winter. I first took off the Air control divert valve at the front passenger side of the engine, and all the hoses and garbage that goes with that. That cleans up the engine bay and gives you a little more room to work.

I went with AC plugs and Excell wires which I found out nobody much likes but are working well for me and what I use the car for. I was alone most of the time while working on the bitch, I mean my car. That was good because on several occasions I turned the air blue with vicious cursing. I did use mechanics gloves which saved a lot of skin but sometimes I needed more feel and had to go without.

Eventually I got it all done and other than hard to get to it was not that difficult to figure out. I have a couple of repair manuals and checked them to make sure I had the right wire going the right places. It made me feel good to do it myself and I try to do all that I can with the help of the Guru's.

I have since taken off the Air pump itself and put in a air pump delete kit. Some guys make their own but I bought mine. TPIS has a good one and also Corvette Central. I also took off the Frisbee on the front of the motor which serves no purpose that I can see and wieghs a ton. Andy says that alone adds 5 h.p.

If you live where you have smog checks you may want to leave the Air equipment on but it's whole purpose in life is to warm up the Cat faster so it can do a better job when you start the car. Unbelievable amount of crap hung on the engine to accomplish that. If you do have to get checked let the engine warm up before running it through and you should have no problem.

Research the threads on Guru and don't hesitate to ask if you have a question. Don't be in a hurry or you will get pissed off.

I remember goin to Disneyland in the early 60's and my folks commenting on the smog then. When I go out there now to see my daughter I am amazed at how you can see the mountains to the east clearly. I am sure they are a bunch of zealots.

I have pictures of my wife and I on our Honeymoon with the monument in the background. You can see some changes but not much in 28 years. I love that country!

Had a nice ride in the 90 yesterday. Coming home I was getting on The 80 just as a C5 was heading in the same direction. We ran together for about 30 miles. His plate read SM BEACH. I can't imagine what he told the State when they want to know what his plate means.

Cheap is usually cheap. I wonder how much it would cost to have yours turned? Something has to be different and they should know what it is. Recently I bought an alternater for my 90, one was priced cheap and the other more. I asked the difference and the cheap one had only the parts replaced that needed fixed the other one had all the stuff new. I paid for the one with all the parts new.

I think you should shop a few more places and see what else is out there to compare.

I'm trying to like it but not quite getting it done. I think if you have a birdcage you can build a correct mid 60's with new frame and any running gear you want. I am sure you would have more in it depending on what you have to start with.

34 degrees here at 6:30 according to the outside temp in the Tahoe. I was on a run for breakfast from big Mac's for Ultraboy. I'm thinking Monday is going to be a rude awakening for him when he has to get back to his normal life.

Bought an Envoy with less miles for my daughter. They were not going to give me anything for my 2001 Xterra with 125K on the clock. I told my wife I'd sell it myself. She said, "your crazy". So I spent hours cleaning this thing up, it was in good shape and just needed some detailing.

So finally it's ready and I take it down to a lot on a busy intersection in town, hang a for sale sign on it and went home to wait for the calls to come in. I no sooner got set down when the phone started ringing. I got ten calls in about an hour and the first person who called ended up writing the check for the asking price. Of course I have had a bit of swagger around the place for awhile. All my wife said as she shook her head was, "unbelievable".

G'day Guru's! Beautiful day here in the midlands. Up and down all night between me and my wife keeping the pain killers into Ultraboy. He is doing ok but the finality of the end of his season is hitting home.

Mowing and starting to tear off the old wood flooring on the front porch is what I have going today. I am redecking the porch with a new composite 3.5" wide tongue and groove that will never rot or need painting. It will preserve the look we want. Pricy, but the low or no maintenance part of it finally wins me over.

Matt, all I can say is any day now! Lets go gettum guys and gals.

Nice shop, very well organized. If you could see mine you would see why I say that. Ever thought of saving back the stock drivetrane of the 67 and putting something hot in it instead? I was just wondering.

Ron we know you are a nice guy........I think? Don't we guys? What I am thankful for is your service and what you had to go through, it was hell on earth and many had to get relief where they could. I have always thought how the WWII men and women had very little in the way of working through the horrors that they did. No counsuling, no medicin.
My Dad choose the Ministry and became a missionary to try and offset the things he had seen and done as a B17 bomber pilot. I can still remember being scared by his bad dreams when I was little. So for many alcohol became their friend but others paid that price as did your sister and you. I am sorry for that. I am glad you did not follow in their footsteps.

Tell Erin to hurry up and get home so we can see some pics of that Z car.

I think that would be a welcome addition to anyones garage. I would have to can the 350 crate motor and opt for the 502 or bigger if they have it. Out here I would have a full time job just being in all the perades duing the summer.

Very early good morning Guru's. As I write this it's 4:20 am and I am sitting next to my son's hospital bed. He broke his arm during football practice yesterday afternoon. They were doing tackling drills when everything landed on his arm wrong and he said he heard it snap. It broke it clean so he is going to have surgery in the morning with some hardware installed to get it put back together. His mother and I are taking 4 hour shifts to stay with him. He will be ok but his season is over and his career acording to his mother, but we will see about that another day.

Matt I hope this is your day to visit the hospital.

C1's and C2's were what I was wild about when I was a kid. Where we lived if you had a Vette it was considered the fastest thing in town. I was about 10 when Route 66 was on and I watched more to see the car than what Todd and Buzz were doing. I can still hear that theme song.

Bill I don't know a lot about your C2. What engine and options does it have on it? When do you plan on getting it up and running? I still dream of finding another one out in someones back yard like the 63 I had.

Brad that looks good, but I'm afraid it's food porn. You must try to resist. To be sure I will try some and get back to you if you should have any or not.

Those anxiety disorders and other stuff run in families. They are emotional problems that can be delt with on numerous levels. They are not considered mental illness. Meds can help but counseling is very effective and there are several great self help programs available for the stress and anxiety problems a lot of folks deal with in our over the top lives. Everybody's got something that gets to them sooner or later.

For me it's flying. The thought of being locked into that cattle car at 35K feet for hours makes me sweat bullets. I had to face the issue when my kids started living in other parts of the country. So it's 3 days driving or 3 hours in the air. I don't drink anymore so doing a half bottle of Jack in the lounge at 6 am isn't going to work for me. My Doc suggested something to help me relax and now I get on the damn things and go. I didn't want to miss out on my life because I had a fear of flying. Now I kinda like it. Especially when I get off and I see palm trees and smell the ocean.

Get out and get going Kid don't let anything stop you!
