Good evening, was beautiful today, 67 and the next few days we will end up past 80. I love it. Spent the afternoon running my cousin around, their car is on the fritz and it's the only one they have. Then I got a call about a bad print at the office, an ambulance wrap and the last stripe didn't match, not dark enough green. Turns out to be a low ink issue that the printer didn't beep us about and it ran with not enough yellow from when it started. Entire ambulance has to be striped and redone, and it was 9/10 completed, they needed it today. Crap happens I guess but sucks either way.
Good song there, Little Red Corvette. Just so happens, we are having an ugly sweater contest as part of our Vette Club's holiday party and I found a Prince, Little Red Corvette one.

Good morning Gris, cold here but at least the sun is out so it'll warm up a bit, steady warmer till the weekend.
Pontoon completed and guy has done been here to pay and headed to our shop across the street to pick it up, one down, several more to go.
Marcus, it's a hard job going through a loved one's belongings and decompressing their life after many years, sorry you have to do that. Taking it to charities you can at least get a tax receipt, although I try to avoid Goodwill - they don't help the needed at all but pay their corporate in the millions. Salvation army, church thrifts and such are who I tend to donate to. Friends with flea market booths are handy too, I'm helping support my friend's side gig and cleaning out at the same time. Just be sure to look up stuff you're not sure about, some things go for quite a lot, especially mid century items. I collect those and resell and you'd be surprised what something goes for that I thought was worthless.

Good afternoon, sun is out here but still cold, will be they say for the remainder of the week. Wish I was off today, I was sleeping like a dead person last night, didn't want to get up, perhaps a nap when I get home. Nothing much on the list at work today, have a bus coming Tuesday, install crew piled up with work from stuff I've already sent through. I have been on the work FB page posting though.

Tee, I see a holistic doctor too, I'm due back for a complete workup redo, blood work, hormones, saliva testing, fecal testing you name it. Last time she did all that I literally got a book of all my stuff, blew my mind. Glad you feel better

Kinda slow at the office today, not bothering me, I have a small bus coming Tuesday from a local college, did one for them couple years ago, same stuff just smaller scale. Y'all ready for trick or treaters? Arron went out last night to pick up something at WalMart, came back with chocolate bread, banana bread, 3 ice cream containers, 3 giant bags of candy and some other junk. Guess he had a sweet tooth although he said "candy is for kids but if we don't have many I guess I can eat it". I'm guessing that was his plan all along.
Yes, some of my MCM stuff is a side hustle, a friend had a shop I consigned some through, but I do collect. She's about to move and closed shop although she does auction stuff online, waiting for my cash out for the month. I think I might keep this lamp tho, and see if I can track an appropriate shade down. Those are just as high as the lamps.

Good afternoon, I had doc appts in next town over today up and out at 8:30 and it was only 39 out. I bout froze. First appt was hearing lady, I have developed tinnitis so went to get it seen about. Said I have very minimal hearing loss, consistent with my age, but she said "I bet you cover your ears a lot". Yes I do, why? She said you have supersonic hearing in the upper ranges. Said nothing they can really do for tinnitis but a hearing aid can help buffer it, but I don't need a hearing aid so she said she'd check on me in a year. My 2nd appt cancelled so I picked up a nice MCM lamp for $15 that I'll either put in pool house or sell for $175 if I change my mind and had lunch with a friend. Came back home to finish up moving plants in, will be 25 tonight, and trying to get warm. Nap sounds good too.

Good evening, gloomy here too and light rain off and on. We sure did need it, but it's cold as all get out also. Will be decent during the day but freezing or mid-upper 20s for the lows all week. We've not done anything, we planned to take a drive to see fall colors on our usual trip to Maplewood Cemetery but got rained out. We junk store shopped yesterday and just laid around today. I saw a lamp I'm going back after tomorrow, having it held, a MCM lamp, for $18 that goes for about $200. Might sell, but expecting I'll keep it for the pool house. That's turning into a 70s groove pad so far soon as I get a puke green shag rug and a couple of chairs recovered I have here. Arron is in the kitchen where any good man should be making us some chili gonna kick my butt outta gear on the couch with chili and a murder mystery here in a bit.

Good morning - was up way early today, got up and then went back to bed a bit. Rains moving in supposed to have started yesterday at 4 but didn't happen, although we did get some showers sometime during the night. Not rained yet here, we need rain but don't want flooded like usual. Busy day yesterday, since we have a cold front moving through I decided to go ahead and get plants in. I try to wait a bit and could have but lows are supposed to hit around 26 for a day or two. All hibiscus and some others in greenhouse Arron made me, plams in the house, bird of paradise and plumerias in pool house, I have just a few small things and that's it. Macho ferns will get a haircut and move to the garage, next weekend, the black coral and black magic elephant ears will be dug up and stored. Not as crowded in here as usual.
Hope you hear from the insurance soon, Matt scary stuff for a new driver. Tee, I click the keep me logged in button too but it will kick me out at the office after a few minutes. Could be up there I'm using an 'incognito' window, whereas home, I'm not? 2 Year olds will definitely keep you on your toes.

Slow day up here today, so my 'extra pay' day tomorrow is off the books. He don't like to pay me to just sit here and I have crap to do anyway. The money would be nice but it can happen next week I suppose. got that neon yellow car going home today, an electric Polaris SXS going home today, two 5500-series trucks about to start, a Jeep going home, a Durango to start and an ambulance to start. Install will have their hands full, I'm all caught up.

Good morning, sunny and beautiful here again today, would be nice to be home. I got stuff to do. Got things wrapped up here on the two big last minute jobs yesterday, one printed, one waiting, quotes given, you name it. Went home to do a bunch more stuff while Arron was outside building me a temporary greenhouse. Went to get a bone density test Monday and she called with that result on my way to work. Ostopenia - stage before osteoperosis. I refuse to let shit get me down. My last 35 years has been filled with drama, stress, abuse, one issue after another, just getting past losing family, then a dog then a kidney, still dealing with hip issues - I refuse to let this stick to me. Wasn't how I wanted to start my day. Oh well, at least I'm on the upside of the daisies.

Good afternoon, been MIA as usual over the weekend except this time I didn't do much of anything, just sat around outside and relaxed my mind sort of. Ran my hind ed off Friday running errands here in town, then Sat and Sunday just sat around with Arron. He's usually gone working somewhere but was home this weekend so we just rested outside in the sun. He jumped in the 60* pool then jumped right back out one day tho. Monday I had things to do at home then doc appts that afternoon then he came home and we were both tired so tv an napping then it's Tuesday.
Did get a text from my DARE guy tho and he brought the truck over so I could see it and get my own photos. Then he giggled and opened that one side door. Said it could be a dual-use vehicle lol. Wasn't planned but not sure I could have planned it that well anyhow.
Finished up an ambulance and had to do some corrective work on a trailer side that a "design firm" sent over to me so it could print. Of course they want it yesterday cause they can't plan right, no clue that we have other things going besides their job, several others ahead of them. That's society for you now though, me me me -

Good morning, cold early then we're due to hit 80 next few days. Would love to be off to enjoy it while it lasts. Need to start thinking about getting plants inside and debugged and junk. I hate that part. Good looking kiddo Tee, precious.
Tommy, still praying for you, I can't imagine how all that must feel.
Got a last minute situation on a trailer, and they claim they sent art and their designer didn't cause he said he had a low resolution problem. I run into that a lot from "college grad" designers. They want to put photos on the side of a 30ft trailer but work off a 12" layout and I can't make it look good blowing it up. That stuff is basic. They want the trailer by 10/30 and I won't even be back here till 10/23 to work on it. No way I can get print ready if I am the one having to do all that photoshop work, I have other things besides them to work on also with deadlines. People drive me nuts.

Yep discipline is the missing main ingredient in today's world along with church IMHO. Folks are no longer taught respect of others or others' property/possessions. And, if you call the cops when you need to, society labels you a Karen or a Kyle or cop caller, etc and it's a negative toward you. Totally ass backwards. I have had to start over too many times for me to live comfortably in my old age, but I'm determined to have my peace one way or another, and I have a piece in ever room in my house if I need to use it to make sure I get my peace.

Good morning, cold out but warm later. Supposed to have a gal come up here to buy a rug off me, of course I left it at home. Messaged Arron to bring it on his way back from lunch. Reminds me I need to tell him to wad it up and put it in the cab considering the grease in the bed of the truck. I got all my people taken care of yesterday and even got that ambulance proofed early, so am in a waiting pattern. Just soon stay that way today, not much sleep so not on top of my game. My client on that tho is an enjoyable dude, he's a transplanted Brit. Just like talking to one of the dudes on that show Top Gear. I could listen to him all day long.
Yeah, traveling with others requires sacrifices, sharing and give/take. I don't know what it is about losing a kidney but I STILL don't have all my energy back and that was a ton of driving so I was tired. And, when I'm at the beach, on rainy days I do like to go eat, or shop, but then I like to come to the room, open the doors and just sit there and nap or read. I don't like to run around every day and I'm sure not getting off my hind end and outa my beach chair at 3:30 to go eat and miss half my day in the sun. I also like to try different foods and I understand one place's fried oysters might not taste like another place but I'm sure not gonna make a scene at a restaurant and tell them my food is shitty and refuse to tip a waitress. I called out on that one, it's not her fault the kitchen messed up or that her taste buds dont' like their seasonings, etc. We usually have a good trip, not sure what was up her butt on this go around.

First day back to work from vaca, I felt like I've not been anywhere since I did all the driving. Not drove that much in a couple years I think. And, her attitude bout shot my nerves and ruined my trip for the most part. We've vaca'd before and no issues but not sure what was up her hind end this time. I feel like I need to go back and do what I want the way I want as I didn't really get a say in anything just bossed around. Oh well. Live and learn. Been crazy at the office so I'll get back at it.

Been very nice weather here at Panama City Beach, but raining today. Was supposed to be really bad so we opted to go to flea markets and run around while we could. Tomorrow we plan to drive over to the Cape. Friday should be a good last day to sit on the beach.

Good afternoon, glad to hear everybody's surgeries went good and all are on the mend. Tommy, yes the bloating was one of the worst parts about my kidney surgery. I had an episode first night with gas up under my diaphragm and I thought I was having a heart attack. I never hurt that bad right there in my life. Freaked me the hell out. They can pump that back out, not sure why they choose not to. Same with me and Arron, all we have is each other. I have a cousin that's not good for her word, was supposed to be with me after kidney surgery, she's also used to be a nurse so would be handy. Of course she had to have some reason to not show so I was on my own.
Not too busy today at work, gladly, I have two police vehicles for DARE to wrap, and they're pending approval today so hopefully I'll have those sent to print Monday. I feel snotty today, was in that house last night with no air I bet it was 100+ packing up the crap I bought. I scored a groovy cigarette box from Japan that's also a music box. You push a button on front and a little doggie pops up top and hands you your cigarette. One listed on Ebay for $80 right now. I got two truckloads of crap for $177 and wished I'd had more to spend on all the stuff I missed out on, but I'm going on vaca and needed my cash.

Got a bidding war going on in a local auction, there's some glassware and other bullcrap I want and some idiot won't leave it alone. I'm getting run up on a room full of macrame hangers and silk flowers. Flowers will go in trash but I want the vintage hangers. I'm probably in a bidding war against some old lady who wants those cheap nasty plastic flowers. I'm also after a vintage Toot-a-Loop radio but I have to buy a whole pile of other ones to get it. Just got back from my encocrinology doc, no answers there although he did order a bone density test that I should have had years ago. None of the folks I emailed Friday have responded so in a hold pattern with them. I do have a couple other things to work on though.

Been a busy day at the office today, working on a lime yellow color change on a Corolla, two DARE police vehicles and a scattering of other assorted little things. Ready to go home. Took the Rover to get windshield fixed on the policy we bought and he fixed the bad spot allright then caused it to split hairline two inches up and down from there. Didn't even bother to tell me till I left and came back, then said that it happens sometimes. I will be calling my company back Monday. I can barely see it, but I DO see it and I'm not happy. A new aftermarket glass is about a grand, an authentic Rover one is probably higher. Dude did say the only difference is the legit one has the name printed on it whereas aftermarket don't, said they're made at the same place. I'm wondering if he is just trying to get a larger replacement job out of me. And the carwash blew off my license plate, pulling plastic bolt anchor right out of the hole and now I have a big ass scratch back there. Can't win lately.

good morning, sun is out here but it rained yesterday and some during the night. Saves me a round of plant watering. Was gone all day yesterday to two diff appointments in Little Rock at UAMS. Trying to get my hip figured out. Mri first appt, they had their crap all messed up then follow up with doc's PA around 4. Made for a late time getting home since that's a couple hours away. I feel like Tommy, I had 7 appts booked between last week and end of Oct. Sorry you're having to go through the hassles, Tommy. Mine told me I was just fine, bmi was fine then turns around and tells me to lose 20 before surery, yet then told me MRI shows I have a labral re-tear on my hip and other muscle/tendon tears. So, say whatt??? How are you supposed to exercise when you kinda can't? And, no matter what I do, weight don't come off. I can bench press a buick but can't lose fat so I have an endo visit Monday. I mean I'm JUST getting over having a kidney yanked out so they need to ease up on weight and crap for a bit. Getting old, tore up parts, menopause and messed up hormones suck.

Doc appt Friday, then worked half day, yesterday we hit a few flea markets and a tiny car show, today he worked a bit for his body shop friend next town over and I laid around all day. Loaned section 8 cousin $20 I'll never see again and that's been about it.
My circle is smaller too, I din't really realize that I was old until I noticed a lot of the people I know are dying. Sad. We have one elder left in our family , my aunt and then it's us cousins and their kids. Depressing.

Our whole town is sick to death of SXS and 4-wheeler riders. They're noisy as hell, sounds like a crop duster buzzing your front door over and over. One every now and then don't bother me but 40 trips a day does. Gets on Arrons' nerves fierce, he hears motors and crap all day he wants peace and quiet when he gets home. you call the cops, then the cops tell them and they harrass you, can't win. This junk just started last couple years. It's illegal in town, matter of fact, per the state it's illegal even on county gravel roads. I'd like to see DHS take some people's kids away from them, stickers clearly say not under 16, and they race around here since our block is a circle, saw one girl right in front of me hauling ass and my neighbor was backing out, didn't see her and she bout flipped it trying to stop to avoid hitting him.

Working outside always wears me out but since surgery seems it's worse. Arron said when he got his kidney out Army wouldn't take him back. Said he'd get dehydrated and overheated faster than folks with both. Makes sense I reckon.

Good morning, cooler here, rained 3 times yesterday, and the last one was a doozie. We needed it badly, more predicted today too. Had a busy weekend with work in the yard Sat and Sun, and yesterday I was wore out and hardly moved, except to make chicken and dumplings for supper. Tommy keep up on the doc appointments, and get stuff checked out. Seems like I'm at one doc or another every time I turn around lately. Getting old sucks. Getting my old shiny percolator out on the weekends is a treat. Need to run next town over and take a weedeater to a friend of mine, she bought my spare one. Won it in a $5 ticket draw a while back, barely used it. It's an Echo curved shaft, just right for her. And, perhaps to Lowes. Arron is pissed off at the gas powered things lately, carbs stopping up, lines rotting off so he's in the mood I think to get me that 56V kit I've been looking at. I need hedge trimmers, blower and pole saw. I don't need hedge trimmers as big as that kit has but I'll take it.

I came to work today for some extra cash and right before I was leaving Josh texted me that I might want to stay home unless I want to smell a dead rabbit all day. A rather huge one got in the back room and died and they just found him this morning. Pretty well cleared out now tho. Need some grocreies when I leave here, figured it'll be crowded. I just figured out yesterday it was a holiday weekend. The grocery store across the street sells whole filets for like $9/lb so I have two waiting on me. I'll process them this weekend and get them in the freezer.

Dadgum this whole summer is gone already. I've barely been in the pool, it's either been too hot or raining. Surgery set me back also. I'm heading into fall kicking and screaming, I want summer forever. Some of my plants are just now getting happy after the harsh winter we had.
Started off almost cold this morning but got up to 97 yesterday so figure it will be the same today. Hoping to catch up on sleep this weekend and get my yard work done one morning when it's cool out.

Good morning, sent proof to the client whose design I did yesterday afternoon, approved in 5 minutes. They still have his other truck across street to finish, big truck plus camper shell and roof/bumpers wrapped too. There's a second truck after that one from my roofing guys, then this truck then a fourth other one, same roofing guys. Hope everyone who has friends/family in the Florida path are allright. It was headed where we just came from but saw it hand changed. Tee, what about your BIL?
Warming up around here, I need it cool so I can do yard work, but didn't feel like it when it was cool last weekend, plus we were gone one of the days. I'm told with one kidney the intolerance to heat and humidity now might be permanent. Arron was told when he tried to re-enlist that he was a no-go for the same reason. Makes you dehydrate faster and overheat faster and they were sending him to Iraq so he was done at that point. He wanted to get his 20 years in. I figure I can work up to it a bit at a time and just be more attentive. I'm bad to get busy and not realize how hot or dehydrated I get till it's bout too late.

Good afternoon, been kinda busy here, was expecting a guy in to discuss his trailer and instead a dude shows up with a Sierra, have a Chebby coming later. I have the Sierra ready to proof but I'll do that in the morning, don't want him to know I can do chit that fast. I'm ready to go home. The place we just left from Vaca is a direct hit for the hurricane, mandatory evacuations started yesterday. One way in, one way out, feel sorry for those folks.

Good morning, what's left of it. Ran my hiney off Friday, doctor, visit with mayor, then by office to take care of something, then to walgreens, then across town for this, back across for that etc, and then home. Wore out. The truck said 104 all day and I believe it. Yesterday our Vette club took a 1.5 hour drive to a nice steak house in Holly Springs, MS. Stopped for dessert on way home, my fault, and ran into a horrific storm. Temp showed 107 midday, then 77 after the storm. Literally everyone on the interstate was pulled over or hid under something, even the truckers. We came home, rested, had a cocktail and watched tv. Supposed to be pool day today but it's overcast out. I don't think anyone is really complaining with the hot sun and heat we've had this past week. Got plumbers coming Monday, my only day to myself I'm sure that'll ruin my day, and it's my fault, I'm the one that scheduled it.

good afternoon, hit triple digits here again today too but it don't feel as hot as it did yesterday. Humidity I suppose. Was out mid day getting my 3 month post kidney ct scans and doc visit. Got the all clear today so we do it all again in 6 months. She said he'd check me periodically, I was supposed to see him today she didn't know why they sent her in. Should see him next time. Do have a "non obstructive" stone on other kidney said they'd just keep an eye on it. elevated BP, high to me but didn't seem to be a concern to her. I see my PCP tomorrow. This getting old mess is bullcrap.
I've not cruised in several years, Hurricane Hugo to be exact. Too peopley for me. But would like to take a couple again, bang for the buck kinda thing. Is there one that don't have kids? I absolutely do not want to be anywhere near anybody's loud kids.

Good afternoon, been a busy morning here. A section8 ghetto thug showed up at the business about 4am and broke a window and hotwired a customer's car and stole it. They've since found the car, not the perp tho. Car was a couple towns over from here. Been a wild morning. Plus I had a trailer dropped off too and a dozen phone calls. Unusually busy day today.
Hot as all get out here, 100 and feels like he surface of the sun. I'm bout to take a break and eat my lunch.
