If you don't want to put that style on, you could put those hood stripe accents on and any of the vinyl places could custom make it with a "427" cut out in it (as opposed to l98, lt1, etc)

If not, I think either on the rear bumper or on the side above the gills would look good, too.

Good morning CGs!

Hey Johnny, hope the mouse problem works out for you. I've had good results in the past using the peanut butter. I bought traps that were a little better, too, I don't know if that helps or not. Maybe it's time to switch to cheese? I dunno.

Sounds like you're gonna have a basement full of arcade games pretty soon. What's the wifey say?

I have decided not to plan out my day. It's happy go lucky today. Whatever gets done, so be it, or if I sit on the couch and watch movies, so be it. Easy going is definitely the way to go (unless you ask my wife who always has chores for me).

That's it for me. Hope everyone has a great day.

Matthew

How about a movie quote trivia for the day? (remember, no cheating!)

This is an easy one from one of my favorite movies of all time.

"A: If Senzo Tanaka is his shidoshi, then show us the Dim Mak.
B: What the hell is a Dim Mack?
A: Death touch. "

Good morning CGs!

Wow, I miss one day and the place falls apart! Where were Chris and Johnny to pick up the pieces?

It's ok, I'm back today to start chat and the stars are realigned, the planets are in order.

So how is the day so far? I am home and ready for my weekend. It's supposed to be a hot one today. I might vacuum the pool and go for a dip. Maybe I'll attempt to toy with the vette. Not sure yet. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go out to dinner with my buddy for his birthday. Sounds like fun.

That's it for me. What's new with everyone else?

My first car (truck) was an s-10 blazer 4x4 with a 2.8L V6. I got into enough trouble with that. I couldn't imagine what I would have done in a sports car.

No 16 year old driver needs a V8 sports car. Give him a beater honda civic or toyota corolla. Once he's got a few years under his belt, it's time to move up.

I dunno, I've seen a few non matching 350s with decent bodies and interiors for under $20,000. I would consider them drivers. All I know is I can't afford $60,000 for a numbers matching BB with air and a 4 speed.....

I would never do that. Might scratch the finish when she drops it.

To be honest, that guy's an asshole. I am a gun safety proponent, and that's definitely not a good idea. I'd be surprised if his wife ever handles a firearm again.

No bites on the movie quote? Ok, here's a hint: it's an 80's "cult classic" type movie, and the main character is "Bruce Leroy".

Good luck!

Is the motor the same on the 82 and 84? I see there was a "5 hp" difference, but what else?

Good morning CGs!

Sorry, I'm a little late with chat today! I worked an hour later than usual and I had a few errands, but I'm here. Better late than never, right?

TGIF, huh? I bet everyone's ready for the work day to be over. Any big plans for the weekend? I'm working, so it's a moot point to me. But the weather is supposed to be warm, aside from a little rain tonight.

I've gotta cut this short, but hope everyone has a great day.

Not possible - I followed the corvette guru instructions to a "t" - the 15 is after the dyno numbers were corrected.

Good morning CGs!

How is everyone's day so far? Supposed to be a nice weather day here. I believe around 81 and sunny. Sounds like swimming weather. Nice.

Everyone getting geared up for the weekend? I wish I could have a four day work week. What a great life that would be. Three day weekends every week. I guess I have to become my own boss to do that.

Seems like there was a post explosion yesterday. I'm gonna have to go through them all and see what it's all about.

Hope everyone has a great day.

What are you wearing to walk in? Khakis and a pair of penny loafers? You are old. Go to Kmart and buy some cheap sweatpants. I don't think anyone in the neighborhood wants to see your when you're walking around. You might even get arrested.

When I saw the title I thought this was a post regarding your world-class collection of Barbie "Dolly's"

So are you gonna park it next to the Z that's still for sale and the el that's almost finished? What about the C3 that was a great deal? Don't pop a woody for every car you see...lol.

I've been looking into this because I want to change rear gears. The outer dimensions are the same. Some have said the earlier D36s might have different bolt sizes, because one guy had to drill out the mounting holes for the bolts he had. I haven't confirmed that. On the inside, there are 2-series and 3-series gears (if you have a 2.59, 3.07, etc) These are not interchangeable because of the thickness. For the 2-series to get aftermarket gears, you need "thick ring" gears. You can't swap a stock 3.07 into a stock 2.59. I haven't found after market thick 3.07s, only aftermarket thick 3.54 and 3.73s. Because of that, I'm looking for an entire stock 3.07 to bolt in.

I'm no expert in this, hope my basic description is a start.

Good morning CGs!

Ahhh what a lovely morning. Actually not too hot here. Slept with the windows open last night as opposed to A/C. Should be nice today and might go for a dip in the pool this afternoon (since I actually vacuumed it yesterday).

Got a phone call from an old friend this morning whom I haven't talked to in a while. Gave me the whole update on the family and work, etc. Funny how long you can go without talking to someone when your own life gets hectic. I was glad he called. Nice to talk to people again.

Back to work for me tonight. I've got a few errands to do today. Gonna try to tinker with the car. When I drove it yesterday, it was idling funny...wondering if my IAC is bad? I dunno. I'll have to play with it later.

Hope everyone has a great day!
