Couple good size bruises, truck is totaled. Was on the way to move my cousin's things from the nursing home here to the one in Trumann (next town over where she is from - she was unhappy and wanted to move). Tried to avoid a situation and ended up in it anyway. As if my insurance wasn't high enough from a similar situation that I could not help couple years ago here we are again. Cop back then said he knew I could not help the accident and gave me a citation anyway doubling my insurance, and this was no different. "I see that you did all you could possibly do to avoid this but the law is the law and I have to cite you". Thanks.... Also thanks to the gold colored SUV that was inbetween me and the one I hit. Me and the driver of the vehicle I hit would both like to have a word with the driver of that vehicle. They saw the white truck slowing to stop and turn and wasn't paying attention and darted in and out of lanes then stopped in front of me then darted off to the right and I didn't have time to completely avoid the truck in front. Got his passenger rear taillight area. Either way, I'm out of a truck and I"m sure probably insurance too. As if Christmas wasn't bad enough this New Year's is just as bad.
I was focused on the SUV acting like a fool and with something like that going on plus it's large you see that, not what's up in front of it. Soon as he moved from in front of me I saw why so then I tried to get out of the way too. I slowed some and swerved but not enough. I have a bruise on my right upper arm not sure what from, one on my left forearm not sure what from and it stings, hit the top left side of my head on something it's a little sore, my left knee I guess got the dash, the steering wheel got my right thigh on top. Went to the gym this morning and that was difficult. My arms are sore plus weak from that mess so lifting was bit hard. I'm not a Ford fan but I really did like that truck and would like to have another one just like it. The other option would be a Dodge with a Hemi like someone I know used to have but I can't afford that. Happy New Year, everyone!
I'm taking donations for my new year... I need a new truck.... totaled mine yesterday  (at noon, no beer involved haha)was on the way to the nursing home to gather cousin's things to move her to another facility. On the bright side, I weighed two pounds less a the gym this morning. I'm guessing it was that two pounds of shit I left in the truck seat after impact  I'm skipping the black eyed peas and hog jowls today - not really seeing the point now. I'm blessed - at least it wasn't the Vette and I'm not hurt. Hope you all have a relaxing day off and we all will be grateful for a short work week

Flurried some more here again yesterday and finally quit and the sun came out. Still a ton of it all over the ground though. So glad when it's all gone. Finally got my appetite back yesterday too and over ate last night. i fried up some chicken breasts and deer tenderloins and there you have it. Planning to wipe off the car today and get it out for a little bit and try out my new tires now that the streets are all dry, drop some things off at the nursing home, take her little Christmas tree down. Thought about making a red velvet cake but I'd just eat it

Still cold here but not as bad as the 17 we had couple days ago. Still about 6 inches of snow in my yard. And, today we have sleet, rain and a little more snow coming. Who keeps sending me this mess? Come take it back! Working today to make up one of my days off for the holiday. The guys decided to close Wednesday and I'd planned to work to that threw me off. We all pitched in and ordered Mexican food from the Mexican grocery store around the corner yesterday and we all got sick. it's usually the best in town. I didn't finish my plate and instantly felt bad and was full and wanted nothing else the rest of the day and had that nausea morning sickness like feeling all afternoon. They were fine. Figured I caught a bug. by the time I got home I had fever, chills, shaking, vomiting, diarrhea, all that mess. Up every hour. Came in today and turns out they had the upset stomachs but that was it. I still hurt all over but feel a lot better. Pedialyte and crackers for todays' diet. The guys seem fine. That figures... I'm sure they'll have pizza or something good I can't have
Did I mention how nasty pedialyte tastes??? EWWW. Hoping all this nasty snow and crap will clear out and I can try out my new Vette tires this weekend.

We had what they call thunder snow. I can't ever remember a 'blizzard warning' here... ever. We had one last night till 9am or so today. Rained late yesterday then turned to sleet then snowed all night long with 30mph winds. Sill flurrying a bit this morning. Gonna be about 17 tonight. I hate this crap. There were several power outages around my local area.

I like that toilet paper holder. I have plans for an end table and shelves from some left over Vette tires when I find some motivation. Want to take all that duck crap out of the back room and change the theme in there, take the twin bed out and add in one of those 'chair and a halfs', etc. Been pretty bored here other than visiting my cousin in the nursing home. She wanted a baloney sandwich so I took her one, went tonight and picked up her Christmas present. that's been bout it. Hope y'all have a good evening.

Rainy, goomy, muggy, funky here... lousy depressing day outside... nothing to do inside or outside. Did I mention how excited I was over my tire deal I made?
Also discovered I was out of clean jeans so I went fumbling through the closet for something to put on. Tried on a couple pairs of older jeans. One pair fit great, even loose in the waist but I hated them, too low rise. The other pair fit great, haven't worn them in two years so I wore those. Tried on one more pair that didn't fit yet and found $4 in the pocket. Those jeans I'd not worn in probably 3+ years. Small amount of cash but it's enough for a lotto ticket. And, my cousin in the nursing home insisted I take $50 from her Christmas gift buying money and get myself something for all I have done for her. I'd rather not, that's too much money. She gets irritated at me so I say "ok I will". Well, I put $30 with it and got a Lifeproof case for my iPhone5. Been wanting one even when I had the old phone. I'd say I've had my blessings this weekend. I also found a deal on some phone service for her that will save her $50 a month between her home and cell phones. Now she's happy too. I'm still not putting up a damed tree, though. Bah humbug. I'm a grinch kinda gal.

I do feel weird to be excited over car tires though but damn, can't help it.

I see a beer in my future later... It's rained here too and supposed so some more today.
On a better note I have gifted myself for Christmas this year and it didn't cost me a dime... I always said I'd sometimes rather have a new set of Vette tires for Christmas as opposed to cheap diamonds or overpriced jewelry.... well... my first husband bought me this ring for our 6th anniversary and I've been trying to sell it. Started off asking $750 for it but folks don't seem to like yellow gold anymore or cluster rings. I even offered it to someone for as low as $300. Pawn shop offered $175. Ex paid $1500 for it on the store's half price sale. I just traded it to the people I know who own a tire shop for a new set of tires for the Vette plus mount and balance. They are to be ordered Monday. I'm happier than a dead pig in the sunshine!!!!   (we need a smiley for a Pee-Wee Herman dance with a sound effect from Roscoe P. Been somewhat a productive day at the office for a change. All those Sonic windows are done, couple wraps in the works, now to get the bills out for it all. Headed to the gym when I leave here then the nursing home. Have to pick up some chocolate cakes for her, they moved her into a semi private room today and she is pissed off. She knew it was coming but she still mad as hell. I was hoping to go home after the gym. It's freezing here and I really didn't want to be out all sweaty and cold and wet and crap and tired. then bath, then take out the trash, then figure out what to eat, then figure out what to bring for lunch tomorrow, geez.....

It's intermittent and goes away when warmed up. Doesn't make noise on start up but after a couple of minutes at idle. Changes with gear shifts and brake pressure and goes away with use. That made her day. they brought her supper, she was starving and she hated it. I tried it.I hated it. Nurse came in she asked could she trade it for a sandwich. I asked could I buy a plate whatever the 'alternative' meal was. for $2 I got a frito pie sort of thing with tomatoes, about a pound of ground beef, sour cream, lettuce, salsa, fritos and cake and tea. Geez. No way I could eat all that and it tasted good, too! And it made her day that I ate dinner with her.

Sitaday will be all I do here as well. Super foggy yesterday then the sun came out, then it rained all night now the sun and clouds are mixed with a chance of rain. Supposed to raint tonight and again tomorrow. Got all my errands ran and chores done yesterday, house is in decent order. Car needs cleaned but not gonna happen if it's about to rain anyway. I'll get out and jump in the sunbed then visit my cousin in the nursing home and that will most likely be it for the day. Have a good one

The thread wasn't aimed at me but at women in general. One member just simply hates women for whatever reason and others chimed in, you heard it from both sides.
And, given things I'd been through maybe I had my heart on my sleeve a bit too, but I hated to see some peeps actually felt like that about women. It all started over someone wondering if women liked the C4 or not... And yes Istter - you can come wash the car and I'll cook dinner LOL! Seriously - I don't make a habit of inviting people over to wash the car and me cook - I try to take care of things myself. I take care of the car the truck, my apartment, yard, kiddie pool, look after the cousin in the nursing home, I work I try not to ask anyone for help or be a mooch. when in a relationship, I pull my weight and do my share. Have a wide variety of interests and tend not to be a nag or the jealous type unless provoked. All the comments in that thread were insults lodged at women for all sorts of things related to all that. I'm pretty open minded and can take a lot of things jokingly, but a couple things hit my nerve. His momma would have done best to have let that run down her leg.

I hate to see how they treat their wives and daughters at home not to mention their coworkers or others. God forbid they have mothers or sisters in their lives. I felt very unwelcome and hated simply because of my gender after all that shit and the only time I've been back is if I was looking for an information thread for something.

Glad your wife is home, Tommy - mojo that she heals quickly.
Gym bout killed me tonight, along with work bout killing me right before that. I'm either bored to death up there or busy as shit. Anyway, those of you in Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri and Pennsylvania be on the lookout for Sonic stores near you with decorated window perfs in the next few weeks. Paducah, KY and one more near there going out this week, along with two in PA... I got 8 more to go... And, speaking of piles of shit, wouldn't you hate to clean up the yard after that thing.... Actually had a pretty busy day at work for a change.. bout to roll out some window designs for storefronts for Sonics in Kentucky and Missouri this week, sent some to a couple other states earlier. Hit the gym, wussed out the last 10 minutes. Came home, got my shower, some half-caff coffee and a nice juicy deer steak And no I'm not drying my hair before I go to bed, I'm too danged tired.

I happen to know where one is sitting also. Still has the original keys, motor is ok and can be made to run, and all it's missing is the seat. Even has heat.

It's strange that they'll remove a perfectly decent halved woman photo but leave all the skanky nekkid ones. And what about some of those men photos? With an overabundance of chest hair and a double dose of ugliness that are in there nearly nude? BARF! Those need to go, too!
Cloudy and gloomy here agan today although warm. Makes me depressed. Figure I'll just sit here and stare at the tv all day, sounds like a plan. Hold the recliner down in case it tries to run off...

I''m an elcheapo I guess. We have a couple stores here, Surplus Warehouse and Hoods, both of which sells some new and some scratch and dent. In a previous house I got my laminate wood flooring from there for 2/3 of new of the other places. nothing wrong with it, just someone else's overstock. Got wallpaper there and all sorts of stuff. gloomy day here, makes me depressy. Gonna head to the gym in a few maybe that will help a little, nothing planned to do today except visit the nursing home cousin. that's bout it. Have a good Saturday

Ugh.... Christmas.... reminds me.. think I'll go get me that pair of Grinch footie pajammas I saw at Wal Mart the other day, had a Grinch head on the toes and little Grinch prints all over 'em.... and I'll dig out my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree... Walked into the office this morning to find a tree up, fake presents and all, four baskets of different kinds of candy, five tins of cookies... geez... so much for the gym. And, for a post-Thanksgiving feast, the local radio station we do our live remotes with will be at the office Wednesday providing us with Los Arcos (the best) Mexican in town. They have allocated one pound of meat and all fixings for each of us employees... I'm glad we each have our own bathrooms...

I had great plans for today... thought I'd make myself a corvette tire end table and shelves - not much sleep last night - made it to the grocery store and through two loads of laundry, that's it. Tried to take a nap during the last load's dryer time and bout the time I dozed off that extremely loud ass buzzer went off. Scared me to death. One day I'll remember to shut that off. Normally would be off tomorrow but have to go in to make up a day. Screws my whole week up.

Happy Thanksgiving guys...
Will be heading to a cousin's house later for a gathering. I've already seen the food list - enough for about 150, actual attendees will be about 15. 12 of which I'm not too fond of. Should be a great day. I'd rather sit out on the front porch with a baloney sandwich and a beer. But I'll make the most of it, sack up some goodies and a plate and then haul that to the one at the nursing home and visit with her for a while, then come home and have a baloney sandwich and beer for supper.
