Good Morning CGs!

Should be a nice day here weather-wise. Around 62 or so they say. Yesterday was strange weather. Fog in the morning so thick you couldn't see four car lengths in front of you. Lots of accidents according to the radio. Traffic should be light this morning driving in and then pick up once all the kiddies are ready to go with mom and dad to grandma's house for the stuffed bird.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving!

Matthew

Good Thanksgiving morning to ya laddies.....the proud bird just entered the oven for a slow cook and I have got 10 lbs of spuds to peel here shortly. Weather is beautiful and after dinner (and a nap with a football game playing in the background ) I will be taking the GS in to Lincoln to visit one of my clients who had his hip replaced. I may sneek him some pumkin pie. Other than that its enjoy the fruits of our labors and be thankful for all we have here in this great country.

Yes dear I'm gonna start on the spuds.....Enjoy Guru's its a good day.

Well last night I decided to bake Caramel Pecan bars for a treat today. Got the crust ready and the topping ready to go. Got them assembled and into the oven.

And that's when I fell asleep.

No Caramel Pecan bars this Thanksgiving. Maybe I will try again for Christmas.

Morning guys....I want to wish my friends here at CG a Happy Thanksgiving. I, too, am thankful for all those that make sure that we are free to live our lives the way we want.

SIL is smoking one turkey and deep frying another. hopefully not duplicating the picture above. 9 adults and 10 children should fill the house. It's a beautiful day here and maybe we can send some of the kids (or maybe me) outside.

Morning everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

Should be a nice day out today (70 - 80), but unfortunately I have to work at the hotel, so turkey day has been pushed to Saturday All is not lost however; double time is so sweet and occupancy is way down today and tomorrow so it's a cakewalk.

Gona catch the beginning of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on the tele with the little one before I head out.

Matt, the valve came in yesterday and it looks like brand new!...can't wait to get it installed Saturday morning

Happy Thanksgiving guys...
Will be heading to a cousin's house later for a gathering. I've already seen the food list - enough for about 150, actual attendees will be about 15. 12 of which I'm not too fond of. Should be a great day. I'd rather sit out on the front porch with a baloney sandwich and a beer. But I'll make the most of it, sack up some goodies and a plate and then haul that to the one at the nursing home and visit with her for a while, then come home and have a baloney sandwich and beer for supper.
Hope you all have a great day

Happy Thanksgiving, Gurus! Just letting the first cup of coffee kick in before I get started on the turkey. If I'd slept in any longer, dinner would be delayed.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Today we have the Obama luvin' in-laws coming over to eat the food I bought, in the house I pay for, and they're bringing friends I didn't invite. And they make more than double the income that I make. This is just one of the reasons I just f__kin' hate the holidays.

This was a real treat for me to see - it's a new original tune by my friend Mike Walter, who I've had the great pleasure of doing a number of collabs with. The video shows him playing all the instruments, singing, etc. in his home studio (he used some freeware to put the vid together, so the quality isn't the greatest). I told my son that this is why I can't look at shows like American Idol, etc. with a straight face - the manufactured pablum they peddle is crap compared to the kind of talent Mike has, IMO.

Two subjects that should never be discussed over the holiday dinner. Religion and /or politics. But what fun is there in that.
