There is a time and a place for that, don't get me wrong, but when they start exerting that kind of pressure on regular folks for some marketing data, that's not right... For example, we have a simple rule for ALL vendors here... except for the click through ads (tire rack, ect), but I chose them because they rock! However, the rule is simple, and in my paraphrase plain English: You fuck up, we will not cover your ass. What that means is no protection. If you as a vendor screw up, I want the world to know about it. Share it. But don't be a dick about it... For example: I bought a widget from International Widget Co... and it wasn't what I expected. I called their customer service and they told me that there was no warranty and I should have ordered the extended service contract... vs: Those assholes from IWC, I am never going to deal with those shit heads again! See? Outline the problem. Define it, show angst, but don't just flame. Do either on CF and the only difference is how long you are banned.
