Good Morning CGs!

So we had a nice time at the neighbors' house last night. Kids were good right up until the end, then the tiredness kicked in. RR#2 was awful from about 11:00 on. He fell asleep at 11:56 pm...no celebration for him....too bad.

I tried to eat ok last night but I figured it's NYE and a party so who cares. I only went about 1000 calories over for the day, but it was the extra salt, fat, and alcohol that did it. I had a glass of whiskey and 1/2 a mixed drink. That was it, but I knew if I drank more I'd be feeling it today. So the plan today is some cardio and a good shoulder workout. I'll be back on track with that.

Does anyone have any good / interesting stories from last night?

Well I feeeeel gooood to get through another one. Not a bad year all in all....got a GS sitting out in the shop just waiting....now I'm looking forward to warm weather and sitting out on the deck having a cold NA.....mmmmmm.

Huskers will play today but I don't think you should watch it......I don't think it will be pretty unless you are a Georga fan.....not dissing my team but the last time we tried this we got 70 stacked on us.....just saying..

Got a few resolutions but they involve finishing projects that I have started.....

Looks like we got another inch of snow last night. It's pretty and we need the moisture, but I really don't like snow. And of course it came at the time when I pulled the ECM out of the pickup to have it tuned........the CTS doesn't do as well in the snow.

Greetings! Apple Valley must be a suburb of Ely since it is -1 here. Ick. I'm not particularly looking forward to the alarm clock tomorrow morning, but at least it will be a short work week. Next week will seem slow motion, I'm sure.

Happy New Year, everyone!
I'm taking donations for my new year... I need a new truck.... totaled mine yesterday (at noon, no beer involved haha)
was on the way to the nursing home to gather cousin's things to move her to another facility.
On the bright side, I weighed two pounds less a the gym this morning. I'm guessing it was that two pounds of shit I left in the truck seat after impact
I'm skipping the black eyed peas and hog jowls today - not really seeing the point now.
I'm blessed - at least it wasn't the Vette and I'm not hurt.
Hope you all have a relaxing day off and we all will be grateful for a short work week

Wow, Letty, what happened? Oh yea, Marcus there are many days that I wish I had my old GMC. That thing was a freaking beast.

Sun is out and it is beginning to melt the snow some. Where it has been scraped off the ground or where it is bearing down on the roofs it has started dripping off. I've been out in the shop working on a few little projects. Headed back out pretty quick.

Gotta say the Huskers are in the fight after first half....24 to 23 Huskers......they are sucking me in again.....hey...maybe we can win this....!

Couple good size bruises, truck is totaled. Was on the way to move my cousin's things from the nursing home here to the one in Trumann (next town over where she is from - she was unhappy and wanted to move). Tried to avoid a situation and ended up in it anyway. As if my insurance wasn't high enough from a similar situation that I could not help couple years ago here we are again. Cop back then said he knew I could not help the accident and gave me a citation anyway doubling my insurance, and this was no different. "I see that you did all you could possibly do to avoid this but the law is the law and I have to cite you". Thanks.... Also thanks to the gold colored SUV that was inbetween me and the one I hit. Me and the driver of the vehicle I hit would both like to have a word with the driver of that vehicle. They saw the white truck slowing to stop and turn and wasn't paying attention and darted in and out of lanes then stopped in front of me then darted off to the right and I didn't have time to completely avoid the truck in front. Got his passenger rear taillight area. Either way, I'm out of a truck and I"m sure probably insurance too. As if Christmas wasn't bad enough this New Year's is just as bad.
I was focused on the SUV acting like a fool and with something like that going on plus it's large you see that, not what's up in front of it. Soon as he moved from in front of me I saw why so then I tried to get out of the way too. I slowed some and swerved but not enough.
I have a bruise on my right upper arm not sure what from, one on my left forearm not sure what from and it stings, hit the top left side of my head on something it's a little sore, my left knee I guess got the dash, the steering wheel got my right thigh on top.
Went to the gym this morning and that was difficult. My arms are sore plus weak from that mess so lifting was bit hard.
I'm not a Ford fan but I really did like that truck and would like to have another one just like it. The other option would be a Dodge with a Hemi like someone I know used to have but I can't afford that. I only paid $4500 for that truck two and a half years ago.

I worked in my garage today. Just want to say that I'm truly grateful today for having a two car garage, a nice house and yard with two sheds. It's funny how if you work hard for your deams, your dreams can come true. In other words, nobody is gonna walk up and give it to you, so get crackin.
