Wow can you believe it's the last Friday chat of 2012? Seems like just a year ago it was the first Friday chat of 2012

Not much going on here aside from work and family keeping my busy. Wall isn't still completely repaired so the wife was complaining about that last night. I finished the final skim coat, I just have to do one light sanding and then prime and paint it. I'll get to it. Just like I have to fix the sink at her parents' house. I'll get to it. I apparently have so much free time that other people like to schedule things for me to do during it. No problem, I'll just find more free time. It's free after all, right?

Hope to start acquiring some trans parts soon. We'll see once I sell these old intake parts.

Greetings! Yahoo - I managed to sleep in a bit today. It's been snowing lightly since last night. Probably just enough to shovel, not worth getting the snowblower out. We'll see. No last Friday of the year would be complete without shoveling.

Morning guys....we went to a birthday party last night. Three on the wife's side have birthdays together so we are typically all together so we celebrate together.

We will be headed home this afternoon. It is snowing down home, but here it is just cold. Doubt it will get above freezing today.

Getting ready to bring mama back home. I'll be baaccckkk.

Still cold here but not as bad as the 17 we had couple days ago. Still about 6 inches of snow in my yard. And, today we have sleet, rain and a little more snow coming. Who keeps sending me this mess? Come take it back! Working today to make up one of my days off for the holiday. The guys decided to close Wednesday and I'd planned to work to that threw me off. We all pitched in and ordered Mexican food from the Mexican grocery store around the corner yesterday and we all got sick. it's usually the best in town. I didn't finish my plate and instantly felt bad and was full and wanted nothing else the rest of the day and had that nausea morning sickness like feeling all afternoon. They were fine. Figured I caught a bug. by the time I got home I had fever, chills, shaking, vomiting, diarrhea, all that mess. Up every hour. Came in today and turns out they had the upset stomachs but that was it. I still hurt all over but feel a lot better. Pedialyte and crackers for todays' diet. The guys seem fine. That figures... I'm sure they'll have pizza or something good I can't have Did I mention how nasty pedialyte tastes??? EWWW.
Hoping all this nasty snow and crap will clear out and I can try out my new Vette tires this weekend.

I'm thinking of going snowboarding tomorrow. Funny how it's a nice sunny 65F day here and all I can think about is going somewhere freezing azz cold to bury myself in a snow drift. I guess the difference is after I'm done I can leave it there. :P

One step closer... Looks like the new cabinets will need a little station to match the UV toasting of the old cabinets. I had to modify the front of my new stove with the Dremel to fit the granite. There are only two brands of slide in ranges I found that fit the typical granite bullnose properly and I could afford neither

Evening....Well, before we got out of town, we went up to the furniture store so I could get some ideas for a bunk bed for youngest daughters' girls. We ended up buying a unit that was clearanced and they had a sale besides. I made them throw in one mattress, we had bought one not long ago for them. The thing is stained, but looks like there is no finish on it and used that as a leverage device in working the price. Counting my time I couldn't have built it for the price I got it.

Well since we've been home I got the truck unloaded and the first coat of lacquer sprayed on the bed.

CC, your kitchen is looking really good are those Maple? I really like the maple cabinets. Letty, sounds like Montezuma's revenge got you. Hope you're feeling better today.

CC - I don't brag to anyone about anything as far as repair skills. It's my FIL and I lived with them for a year. So they know what I'm capable of. Besides, when you are married it's part of the territory. BTW, the kitchen is looking really nice.
