May I suggest you don't turn on the TV. It will only distract you. I have 7 days to get everything ready for the party. I leave on the 22nd to go pick up Mom. Some things will not get done that I had hoped would be done. There's always next Christmas. Maybe I'll have that stuff done by then. Maybe not .........

Good morning. I have all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped. Waiting for the HVAC guy right now. We are having a mini-split installed for the downstairs. Hope it is a smart decision, certainly not a cheap one.

Good morning guys...slept in a bit this morning. Worked on preparing a new computer for a client after I got home from the games last night. Will probably finish it up today. I have a few projects out in the shop I could do, nothing terribly pressing, just some things I can do whenever.

I have that, there's 4 cans of spray paint sitting on the kitchen counter that I could do something with........whenever.

I've been wanting to put a parts list together but things have been going too smoothly in the room where the catalogs are.

We got a half inch last night which is the first measurable moisture in a long time. Looks like it could rain more but we will see.

My checkup went well...bp low, cholesteral under what they say...everything checked out on the treadmill...good to go I guess.

It was a very nice day so I took the GS in to Lincoln...I was stunned at all the people that were out shopping...doesn't anyone have to work anymore? Anyway I am on my cell phone leaning up against my car when I heard a beep beep and looked up as a JetStream Blue ZR1 rumbled by...impressive color and car...Very nice! Bill you should get one of those when you hit it big at the casino... Did my shopping and navigating all over town fighting the crowds and traffic....almost got run over by 2 pickups and some old lady cut me off to get a parking spot...I was flipping so many people off I just left the window down...Merry Christmas dumbass's........

Got a pnumonia shot by some rookie nurse and now my arm is sore...geez....other then that it was a great day...and I am done a shopping. I just get gift cards that way they can pick out what they want.....

Have a great day Guru's....

Good morning! Got some rain coming down, and the temps are gonna drop, so that can only mean one thing - I'd better go stock up on beer before the roads get icy.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Jetstream is purdy, but Nite Race sounds cooler.

I see a beer in my future later... It's rained here too and supposed so some more today.
On a better note I have gifted myself for Christmas this year and it didn't cost me a dime... I always said I'd sometimes rather have a new set of Vette tires for Christmas as opposed to cheap diamonds or overpriced jewelry.... well... my first husband bought me this ring for our 6th anniversary and I've been trying to sell it. Started off asking $750 for it but folks don't seem to like yellow gold anymore or cluster rings. I even offered it to someone for as low as $300. Pawn shop offered $175. Ex paid $1500 for it on the store's half price sale. I just traded it to the people I know who own a tire shop for a new set of tires for the Vette plus mount and balance. They are to be ordered Monday.
I'm happier than a dead pig in the sunshine!!!! (we need a smiley for a Pee-Wee Herman dance with a sound effect from Roscoe P. Coltraine to insert here)

This is what I traded:

Hahaha....how to pamper a husband....nice! Ya Schlitz was bad....Coors was the big deal out here...because it was countrband..you had to go to Kansas or Colorado to get it and sneak it back in...been on a few of those runs....When I was driving semi's we had standing orders for 10 to 15 cases of Coors when we would go through Colorado.

In the interest of keeping up with the times I did some research on the modern music culture and came up with this.....I don't know what it is....? They got Go Go girls at least....

Good trade, Letty! That ring looks like it could puncture a tire ;-)

Bill's pic reminds me, I think I'm gonna try to find me a nice hammock next summer.

We always want what we can't have. I remember back when we couldn't get Coors or Olympia, and everyone raved about them. When we finally could get them here, I didn't see what the fuss was all about. That said, I could go for a Yuengling ;-)

Yea, Pueblo.
Colorado was one of the few collages that would take all my A.S. credits to go for a B.S. in Automotive Engineering

2 1/2 of the best years in my life, Got a job as a mechanic in a Yamaha shop, got out of classes at 2:30 and headed straight to the desert with the race bikes EVERY DAY.

Hit the bike shop at 6 p.m. and worked to 12, then went for the Coors. Bike shop work paid for all the racing and drinking.

Didn't believe in homework, still pulled a 3.2

LOL I was stationed in Denver for tech school. I had heard all the raves about Coors and being a beer drinker, I could hardly wait. To my surprise, it was like drinking glacier water. Let down was an understatement. I made up for it when I was stationed in Germany where all the regions had their own breweries. I sampled many and found a few favorites. Now that was some serious beer.

Uhh is that a 3.2 like in 3.2 Coors.....which is what we had to buy if we went to Kansas on a beer run...

I was thinking awhile back what it would have been like if fate had put the Guru's all in one place back in our wilder years.....whoa, that would have been epic....yikes!

Not much different than in our older years. We just go to bed a lot earlier and don't drink or drink as much. We're probably a little more opinionated now too. And of course, the hair thing.

I asked for a set of Kumho Ecsta SPT Ultra High Performance Summer tires.... asked for all four and mount and balance. And with any luck, he will toss in a couple bottles of his home made wine too I've used them for 15 years or so. They outgrip and outperform others and with the price, you can't beat them. I've also noticed all those other Vette people that looked down their nose at me when I started using them have also started using them, too.
Tire Rack has slightly cheaper prices including shipping. With their prices and shipping I was looking at around $700. Not much more to come from him, plus he will mount and balance for only $11 or so per tire even with the tire pressure sensor on there compared to like $40 per tire for others here in town. I'm a happy gal and like I said - happy as a dead pig in the sunshine. Only thing that would top this off is if my body shop friend would get me in and fix my other issues and Santa would bring me a new car cover, an iPad and stuff too. I do feel weird to be excited over car tires though but damn, can't help it.

I had a set of Kumho Ecsta's all season tires on my 90 and really liked them a lot....wish they made them for the Grand Sport although I like the Nitto Invo's that came with the car. I think you done good on those....
