Status. I see on another forum Herb found the issue, sort of. Went to stock and eliminated the DELTEQ. I am curious as to what part on the DELTEQ was tested , how it was tested.

Well, she got another call from Public Affairs. I cant believe I actually got their attention. Of course, she is like, what did you say to them. Not much, but I forwarded her the email. I didnt even spell check, LOL.
So, we will see within the next couple days, as she says you need to pitch them what they need to and want to hear. So, we shall see

The carbon was ssb, looked menacing. But the 11 on the side didn't look good in my opinion

Not much other than the only two that waved while cruising was the Ferrari and one C6 coupe. Is the Wave even a big deal anymore. I think that GM needs to promote it, as it is tradition. Kinda like a 427 convertible.

Anyways, you need to find people that have spare parts or used ones. I have spares, just in case. I can always revert back to Opti, as I have 3 or 4 of those with genuine Mitsubishi Optical sensors. Cap and rotor is easy to change.

I recommend getting an Delteq OPTI box and swapping it for testing purposes. Maybe, just maybe, someone near you has one. If not, let me know. I may be able to help. I have a couple, but I am in Hawaii. So, its time consuming. The boxes are usually mounted right on the cylinder head, and can potentially be ruined/deteriorate due to the heads heat.

I'm using a 10lb C02 bottle and a twin regulator to two 5 gal Cornelius kegs (old soda cans). Right now I have a keg of holiday spiced ale in the fridge and 5 more gallons of American Amber Ale in the fermentor. This is my fourth batch since getting back into brewing. I did this about twenty five years ago but just dropped it for all those years. Now there is tons of information available and better processes, yeast strains etc.

Sorry for the deviation from topic...

Deviate if you will and start a thread about brewing for beginners. I would like to try this when I get home this year, for hobby purposes of course...

Sorry I got off topic for this thread......

I am going back and forth on getting the girls a clip gun or a revolver. I am thinking for simplicity a S&W .40 cal or maybe a .38 Super if you can even get those anymore.

Something I read is that if you don't use the clip guns often then the springs can get weak in the clips and they won't feed when you need them......anyone ever hear of that?

I would get the girls a revolver. I have never heard of one failing. Just took my two girls to a gun range. One girl is 11 and one is 21. They both liked the 357 gun revolver, re-barreled to a 22. They hated the clip as it jammed on one and it didnt shoot well.

No idea, but its simple to take it out and clean it but dont turn it. There are simple tests to do to test as you will not get a code.

The voting process is outdated no doubt. I honestly believe the voting, we as citizens do, is just a smoke and mirrors show. I honestly beleive the electoral vote is rigged/paid off etc for the people truly running this governement. Voting and corruption has been around forever, and it is just more detailed now. I bet if no one votes you will still have numbers being presented that people did.

When you disconnect the factory LT1 coil, do you get a jumper plug for the wires that go into the coil. Not for the ignition module, but for the two female connectors that go into the coil on the 92-95 coil.
I have a extra DELTEQ, and it doesnt have the jumper needed for the 92-95 to work. Basically, when you remove the coil, you put this jumper inline of the two plugs going onto the coil to complete the circuit.
In this pic you can see the jumper on the left of the DELTEQ opti box.

Seriously though, I saw where you were talking D44 also in this thread so I thought I would throw the gears out there.

One fo my favorite oils is Shell Rotella. Always a very good oil at a price that is great. They even have synthetic. Oil analysis shows this oil to be one of the best on the market. Wal Mart carry's it.

I just did an Oil Analysis of my Mobil at 9000 miles, yes 9000 miles. It stated I had 2000 more miles to go on this oil. In all fairness, it was my Toyota S, 2002 Corolla. But the point is the oil was still good. I use Wix filters also.
Amsoil and Royal Purple are good oils no doubt, but they are just Shell oil with their additives.
Flame suit on, but oil is only as good as the base stock imho. Its not like 1950's oil. It so much better than the oil where a 3000 mile mentality of changing still rings through jiffy lubes around the nation.

You might as well drive with no filter at all then. The oil is the only thing that gets it close to reasonable. It's just impossible to apply a consistent amount of oil on tight pleats, and I can still see daylight through it afterwards anyways.

Why not just get a paper one?

Its been in this car since 1996. Never heard or read anything bad till lately.
And paper is 40 bucks out here. I will get one eventually..

I took mine off. Need to wrap them one day. rarely drive the car to really put any heat to them for long periods of time, especially with coated long tube headers.

you could always drop the pan, take the oil pump out and put a higher volume/pressure pump in there. Or change the spring.
Or, 383....

Shell Rotella with high zddp levels is a thing of the past.

True, but their levels are much higher than other brands of oils. I got ahold of Shell. Remember the oil is a diesel oi, so it has to meet different specs on the zddp. It still has high levels, just not as high as they used too.
here is a good thread on some oils with high zddp

Mobil 1 extended has 20% more ZDDP, 1000ppm vs 800ppm than regular mobil 1.

Do a 20 dollar Oil Analysis from Blackstone. It will tell you whats happening within the engine.
I surf bobstheoilguy website. i need a drink after talking oil there. Shell Rotella 15w40 is a great oil with high ZDDP, Mobil 10w30 will probably be fine. So many articles on oil, temps, etc etc.
at 110000 miles on my LT1 that used Mobil 1 still had cross hatch marks in the cylinders.

Good thing is I did buy the heater control part that controls the door. Supposedly it was discontinued years ago. But, I may do this job this winter, okay, in Hawaii. I do have a year to get it done

I was told a 1000 dollars plus parts, 8 years ago. But, one dealership said HELL no. Car is too old, and too many things to break while doing it.

Well, before my youngest starts to drive, legally, she will be taught car control by me via Go_kart racing. Then during permit time, she will go to a driving school of some sort.
Then, when she is driving, I will have data to follow her every move and the ecm tuned ( de-tuned) to lower rpms and/or mph.
I am not a big government kind of guy. Cars are where I get my freedom. It makes me feel free when I drive. But knowing big brother is watching takes that away.
But, I do have friends living off the grid...

I will be working on a boat here in San Diego for enough time for us to get together, have lunch or dinner like we did last time. Let me know, Steve
