I thought I would post some pictures of my new garage toy. It is a Direct-Lift model #PP8S (8000 lbs. capacity) 4 post lift.

I had this house (garage) built about 1.5 years ago, and I had the 3rd garage planned out for a 4 post lift. I had the garage tracks modified so I could stand under the Corvette with the garage door open. It looks like my measurements worked out as I can stand under the Corvette with the garage door open with several inches too boot. The garage is 23 feet deep, and the ceilings are 11 feet high fyi.

Infact to my surprise with the garage door shut, I was able to stand under my Chevy Trailblazer. I didn’t really expect that, but I’ll take it!

All in all I am happy so far with the lift. It raises all the way to the top in about 1 minute, and lowers in half that time.

I am looking forward to using it for maintenance and space saving. I was somewhat hesitant is purchasing the lift because it was not made in USA, but after seeing the quality of the lift, I am satisfied with what it has to offer. The only thing that I didn’t get was the drip trays, but I was promised they would be shipped to my place(they are on back order).

Here are a few pictures....

Sweeeeeet! I would love to do that, since bumping my garage out to add a stall is not possible (too close to lot line).

Very nice!! I plan to get one some day. I have 16 foot ceilings in my garage so clearance is not an issue, and I have the same problem as Brad, no place to grow out.

Excellent! That sure would have made changing my starter the other day a lot easier.

Did they come and assemble/install everything or did you have to have it shipped and find a company to put it together?

I too have been impressed with the direct lift . I bought my 2 post 3 years ago - best investment I ever made. Biggrizzly you can go to DE. and get them at greg smith equipment. They have quite a display and no taxes

I have that same lift...they are nice. I can put the Corvette all the way up, the wife's Bonneville, I can put up about 3/4 the way up. The Pickup, I can get it up high enough that I don't have to crawl around on my back on the floor, and luckily I am still flexible enough to squat and do what I need to do on the pickup.

BTW, I have since added the aluminum ramps. They are very nice to have.

Thanx teebee, just a hell of a long way to go for an oil change, but if I'm ever in Kansas I'll take you up on it.
