bogus A Quick Product Review - Dewitts Radiator

It's been in the car now for a while... at least 2 years now.

But I never really bothered to comment on it. First off, the unit is very well made.

But more importantly. I was cruising out the 91 freeway to Riverside today. It wasn't hot, but it was interesting. At 75 MPH or so, the coolant was at 188F! No other modifications have been made - no low temp t-stat, no ECU mods, stock fans... just the radiator and a nominial 50-50 coolant mix.

If you want to only ever buy one radiator, and never ever have to replace again (I suspect it is a lifetime purchase, no plastic endcaps!), get this one.

Was the A/C on? My old stock radiator keeps the car at 185° at the same cruise.

It's a very nice piece. I had to pull mine out due to a tiny leak - I think it's just the teflon tape around the petcock fitting, but I will have to get it tested to be sure. Gotta get that on my to-do list.

I got a Dewitts for my 89 about 8 months ago and although it does run a few degrees cooler ( about 188 degrees) the main difference I see it how much longer it takes to get to a higher temperture and also Im amazed at how fast the temperture comes down once I start moving again..Im sure this is due to the higher capacity and extra row of cooling tubes this radiator has.. In my opinion it was well worth the money spend..WW

I have a DeWitt's in my '77. Easily one of the best mods I have made to the car and a good way to improve on any stock cooling system.

I'm very happy with mine so far. Got an early unit custom made with an oil cooler. My garage shelf has yet to overheat.
