Good Morning CGs!

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all called your mothers and/or told your wives "Happy Mother's Day" yesterday. If you forgot, well it's too late.

So I was giving the baby a bath last night and I smacked my thumb on the tub (yes, the injured one). So I go "Owww, F" And I stopped myself. So what does Sam do? Looks right at me and goes "F%*K" Uh-oh....I said no!!! So she said "F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K F%*K" until she got a little smack. Then she figured it wasn't worth it any more. Apparently I have been a little too liberal with the swearing. I seriously try to curb it around her, but sometimes they slip out. My wife, too, occasionally, but not as much as me. Something I will have to watch closely in the future.

I'm supposed to go get the motor today!!! I have to work with him a little on the price, though. I'm trying to get it for the best price I can, obviously. I know he won't lower machining costs, which is fine, but some of the parts prices are higher than expected and he told me when we started that he would price match anything I could find, so that's my mission. A few bucks here and there will add up.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! Yes indeed, kids are like sponges, picking up everything. Especially the things you wish they wouldn't.

Gloomy day here, the first of several cold, rainy days in a row. They tell us there's a light at the end of the tunnel, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

The Vette is quiet as a church mouse now, after putting the stock cat-back on. It turns out I have squeaks and rattles to fix :-P

Mornin' All

Big Day for ya Matt! It will be exciting bringing that baby home. Even more when it mates to the tranny and rumbles to life.

Not much happening here this morning. Same ol' same ol' in the Nations Capitol.

I just noticed that today marks 6 months on the e-cig. I've cut my nicotine levels back 75% from where I started, too.

Coming home yesterday from MILs house while driving my 83 widebody 911 I encountered one of these. I tried to tail him a little ..... very little. He was in a playful mood too. I thought I'd try to catch up to him on a clear staight but he got wind of it and put the hammer down. It was a few minutes of fast and furious fun. Of course most of the time I was in his rear view mirror.

Joke: The swearing parrot
So there’s this fella with a parrot. And this parrot swears like a sailor. I mean he’s a pistol. He can swear for five minutes straight without repeating himself.
Trouble is, the guy who owns him is a quiet, conservative type, and this bird’s foul mouth is driving him crazy.
One day, it gets to be too much, so the guy grabs the bird by the throat, shakes him really hard, and yells, “QUIT IT !”.
But this just makes the bird mad and he swears more than ever.

Then the guy gets mad and says, “OK for you”, and locks the bird in a kitchen cabinet. This really aggravates the bird, and he claws and scratches, and when the guy finally lets him out, the bird cuts loose with a stream of vulgarities that would make a veteran sailor blush.
At that point, the guy is so mad that he throws the bird into the freezer. For the first few seconds, there is a terrible din. The bird kicks and claws and thrashes. Then it suddenly gets very very quiet.
At first the guy just waits, but then he starts to think that the bird may be hurt. After a couple of minutes of silence, he’s so worried that he opens up the freezer door.
The bird calmly climbs onto the man’s outstretched arm and says: “Awfully sorry about the trouble I gave you. I’ll do my best to improve my vocabulary from now on.”
The man is astounded. He can’t understand the transformation that has come over the parrot. Then the parrot says, “By the way, what did the chicken do?”

Hey guys, been pretty busy today. I have been listening to the Fab Faux that Brad posted about....on the third time through....yea!

Matt, take your time and do it right. Do what you can to work him down.

Ron, I have 3 of the 8 tables sanded here. Most of my students are gone this afternoon, golf, baseball, etc. I am working on a computer...again. Seems to be a never ending process.

Wind just came up....whhooooo about 50mph, shook the building.

The front that just moved through here, northeast of here just got a severe storm warning and they were talking about the wind "rotation", so it's only a matter of time.
