is C4 side window glass worth anything? And can it be shipped?

Someone was looking for a drivers window recently on here, or was that you?

I had one awhile ago and couldn't get rid of it for free so I threw it in the dumpster.

Glass is shipped all the time, that's how the glass shops get it. Don't expect anyone to insure it for you though.

Maybe you could tell the shipper to "insure" it for you, at 50%. So if it breaks during transit, you get half your money back. Then maybe they'll pack it carefully.

I sent one from the east to the west coast. I packed it myself, it got there intact.

If it's in good shape I'd find a place to stash it. When I got my car it had serious scratches on both windows. I wanted to tint the windows so I started a search for good glass. Bought two on ebay that I ended up pitching because of scratches, finally found two good ones from Vette2Vette and was installing them when I stupidly overtightened one. That sob exploded like a bomb! Went and got still another one. In all I threw two away, turned down a few others and broke one. Yep, I'd keep it.

Do they have any scratches? If not, I'll buy them if the price is reasonable. Both of mine are scratched and I have all new window felts but I'm not installing them until I get new glass.

They're in good shape, I sent you a PM.

Thanks.

My side glass is all scratched from the outer seals. You would be OK to install new felts and/or seals on scratched glass. I have the glass, but I won't install them next to the hard seals that scratched the old glass.

Yeah, I know- for some reason I just hate working on the doors, so I'll do the entire project all at once. Probably doesn't make any sense...

Waiting to install the seals and felts, waiting for the glass, doesn't make sense from a sequence view point, but I hate working on the doors, too. I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have to remove the dark tint from the glass, order the outer window seals, round up some late model scissors style window regulators, and maybe new interior door trim panels, and hopefully do them all at one time.

RACE ON!!!
