Good Morning CGs!

Wifey is off working today so I have the run of the house. Well, maybe not, a 2 foot tall little person seems to have that. But I'm in 2nd place. The neighbor is also gonna come drop off her little guy later so she can go to a dentist appointment. No big deal.

Worked on fixing the pool last night, so I hope it's finally done. Now I need to fill it a bit and rebalance all the chemicals from the mass rains we've had.

Related to the rain, I was working in the yard yesterday night and found that the strong winds had snapped two branches off of our beautiful peach tree. Lost a total of 75 peaches (I counted them!) off those two branches alone. My wife was upset, but we'll manage.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Oh yes it is ............. Mister Mom.

Lots to do and I've been hangin around here way too long playing with Music Minutes. They can easily turn into Music Hours. I have to clean the pool too. All the crap that came down yesterday while cleaning the palm fronds left plenty in the pool area to clean up. I have lots of engine bay and car detailing projects lined up too but it is so hot I just keep putting it off. I might keep putting it off till October.

I like mine . I sit around it every day. I even go in it several times a year. We got lots of use out of it when the kids were young. I even had a hot tub built in especially for me. It's really really nice on a cold winters night.

I have a pool bar and I can bring out a slot machine. Also a stainless steel gas BBQ grill and outdoor speakers for music to further the poolside enjoyment. It would be really great if this gal stopped by.

I had an insane chest/back workout earlier. I've changed gears a little bit on the workout regimes. I was focusing on core work so much lately that I've neglected straight strength training. So I've decided to mix in some different training splits for the next month or so. Started last week. Feels good so far.

Little one from across the street is home now. I am in the process of filling the pool, too. Clean up a bit and get dinner ready, then I can have some me time to get to the pool store and tinker with the vette.

turns out Murphy's law also applies to wrenches and inverse torx bits.

Not enough room to get my extended socket on

Needed to go get a 24mm open wrench.

They don't sell inverse torx bits as singles
Needed to buy a $39 kit!

Better luck with my rear swaybar links
got the inserts milled down
all torqued down ready to go.

scrap night was decent. i think the holiday confused people on which day to put their stuff out. we got some good metal to recycle and picked up an almost brand new kenmore grill for my sister's new house.

the boat made it home after i rewired the trailer it is on. definitely needs work but it looks like it will float and the engine looks awesome so provided i get it running everything is cosmetic. it has not been in the water since 1991. but a free boat is a free boat is a moneypit.

Where do they give tickets for not having mud flaps? and what kind of truck?

I scrap as well.. I don't usually pick stuff up on the curb though unless maybe a lawn mower or snoblower ect... usually I just collect junk parts from work, friends, & side work... people think I'm nuts hauling junk with my truck, but it's kinda like free money...
