Good Morning CGs!

Well, to start off the first order of business, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY!!!

Hopefully you enjoyed "your" party on Sunday....lol.

So how was everyone's weekend? We had a great time on Saturday. Sunday I kicked my own butt in the morning with a run workout and then ate junk food the rest of the day. I paid for it later by feeling like crap. Oh well, the wife wanted to eat out...all day....so I obliged. I should have known better.

Today I'm gonna tinker around the house. Tim (chisgt) is supposed to come by so we can play with his car and see if we can get it running any better. We'll see what happens. I need to run to autozone and pick up a headlight harness for my car. When I did the h4 upgrade a few years ago, I put in the bigger headlight socket on one side but not the other (store only had one). Well, the side I didn't do is having problems. The headlight actually melted part of the stock socket. Ugh. So I'll get it fixed so it works properly.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The party is over in more than one way. I'm one step closer to becoming a crotchety old bastard. My patience wears thinner and my self absorbtion becomes stronger. The gathering was nice but I much prefer smaller festivities. Mom is here till tomorrow then I'll bring her home. She has been the highlight of the weekend. I'm glad to be spending some time with her. She gets around pretty good for an 84 year old when she's feeling well. She has had pnemonia twice in the past 8 months. Close call with one of them. Enjoy your friends and family while you can. It can all change in an instant. My wife has been experiencing hives attacks the last three nights. We are trying to track down the culprit. She has been in agony. Could she be allergic to my Mom? Nah ...... She loves my Mom. We think a change in laundry detergent may be the culprit. We have to rewash loads and loads of clothes and bedding ..... Sucks bigtime.

Have a wonderful day. You know, a day that leaves you wondering.

Thought you were there!

Glad your mom is doing well - it is important to spend the time when you can.

Hope your wife gets better soon. I use purex detergent and scent free dryer sheets, so I understand.

Well, I spent most of yesterday at the local car show...it was a not a good turnout, I'm guessing because it was so hot. We did have a couple of pretty neat cars an 18K mile Camaro SS 1997, and a Pro street 71 Chevelle SS. I didn't win anything...never expected to, but I had a good time letting some kids sit in the Corvette drivers seat. That huge grin is well worth the extra cleaning up of sticky finer prints on the door panels.

Not much for me today. Clean the shop some and get ready to install a cabinet tomorrow.

Well from when I started typing until I get it posted Tommy has posted...Tommy you are right, enjoy them while you can. My mom and dad, both would have been 85 this year. Lost dad 6 years ago and mom almost 4 (next month). I miss them both. And now it is uncommon for my two brothers and my sister to get together. Little brother tries each year, but older brother and sister have 'issues' with each other and don't really make much effort to work things out.

Have a good day. HBD Tommy.

Good Morning! Yesterday the heat kicked my butt. Again high in the 90's and humid. Late afternoon thunderstorm cooled things off for awhile. Decided to trim hedges and edge the lawn. Damn it was hot! Honey do list is now on a file on the computer.
School starts the third week of August and I'm need to go back to relax .
Happy BDay Tommy!
Going to the pistol range this morning. Unstress on targets that don't shoot back!! Haven't had any trigger time in a long time.
Have a great day guru's.

Greetings!

We're gonna start moseying home today, going to take a drive through the Badlands (despite stretches of gravel) and stay in Mitchell (home of the Corn Palace :-P) tonight. Then an easy half-day's drive home tomorrow. Will have to fix my driver's door panel when we get home - it has started to slip off at the top - arghhhhhhhhhhh! My biggest problem, though, is that I have an enormous hankering for a new Grand Sport convertible now.

Happy Birthday, Tommy, and mojo for your Mrs. - hope she is feeling better pronto!

Good Evening! Pistol range was uneventful. Watched some 30 something guy shoot his new Ruger single action 45 long colt Gangsta style and tore the web of his thumb on the hammer on recoil. Its funny to watch people get bloody when doing something stupid! They turn pale and get shakey hands. Range Boss was pissed!
Bought some new leather restorer for the vette seats by Surf City. smells good and is not greasy.
My wife comes back from Chicago tomorrow after a long weekend with her sister! So its me and the dog and Chinese Carry out. My dog(she)loves sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Her new favorite is hot and sour soup!
