Good Morning CGs!

Well, we had a good time last night. Family and one of my buddies went out and had some deep dish pizza. After that we walked around the downtown area for a few minutes and stopped by an outdoor beer garden/bar and had a few drinks. A good night overall.

Funny thing is yesterday I filled the day doing all kinds of tasks, but the wife still complained that I didn't get done what *she* wanted done.....go figure. That's life. I guess I'll get the rest of my chores done today.

Oh, and on a crappy note my damn targa top cracked yesterday. I was driving to a few stores and noticed that the heat must have done it. Right in the middle of the front frame. It's about 4 inches long. I might try the drill/acrylic glue treatment to get by as I don't feel like paying 600 for a new one.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

My morning break is almost over so I'll be somewhat brief. Got up early and made a delivery to Miami. Getting ready to cut the grass at the house, clean the pool, then later go meet a client at the nursery for him to pick up some trees. I have to clean the battery tray on the box truck. What is the neutralizer again? Is it baking soda? Told ya, I never have a dull day. Cutting grass sucks. There has to be a better way. My wife wanted the pool years ago. I wonder how many work hours I've pissed away cleaning that water feature. Years ago I developed a plan for a hose down house where all the furniture was pvc and had washable, hangable cushions, resin floors, ceilings and walls. Maybe I should revisit that idea. T-Bone out ............

Oh ya, almost forgot. I went in this morning. I always check out the truck before I take it out. I popped and opened the hood. A kitty was sleeping up on the block. I woke him up. He scared the living schnot out of me. Down here you can find just about anything up in an engine compartment. Glad it was just a cat.

AAaaahhhhhh!

Yea, BS and water (You're familiar with BS,right?).

While you are at it, stick a flashlight behind the batteries on both your C4's and check the frame below the batteries for corrosion.

They make a mat that goes under the battery to soak up that crap. I'm going to get one but it's on the "when I get around to it" list.

Howdy! Matt, a guy at CF was making carbon fiber skins for the targa tops - they look sweeeeeeeeeeet ;-)

I may run over to a dealer to look at a nice C5 convertible - same place I bought my C4. I'm still debating on whether I want to pursue the idea, as it will make parking and storage much more complicated.

Have a good one!

Heading over to school today and store safely away materials I ordered before school ended in May. Darwin would be impressed how cases of glue can grow legs and vanish.
Hot near 95 and the humidty is in the 70% range.
Have a great day guys!!

WTF is up with chores anyways?

Is life meant to be one long chore? I feel like we haven't progressed much from hunter-gatherers, spending 99% of our day surviving, and no matter how much I get done, I'll never be finished, I'll just die partway through.

Maybe its a matter of cutting out the unnecessary shit. I guess I could stop posting here and wash dishes...

Chores are something to do when you're really, really bored or have a wife.

"I guess I could stop posting here and wash dishes..."
Something that must be done when you run out of paper plates.

One of the reasons I can't live in a condo is that doing nothing would drive me batshit. Then I'd have to go out a lot or volunteer for something. Doing stuff keeps me from getting into my head. Not somewhere I really need to go. The more I leave myself alone the better off I am.

No problem for me today, looking for something to do....I was on top of a house at 7am. We got quite a few trusses installed this morning. I'm hoping that we can get the rest of them up this afternoon.

Honey do list...nah, I just try to do what I can when I can.

I'm back in class again today! Traffic wasn't as bad today as yesterday thank God!!

I turn 50 on Sunday and its bugging me more than I thought. I'd like to just forget where I am and how much longer I have to do what I think I need to do. What is it that we really have to do in life anyhow? Who sets the criteria? God I'd be happy to go hide in a hole up in the woods of Somewhere and get off the grid! Oh well, chin up and movin' on!!!

Have a good afternoon guys!

Tommy - better get that damn pool clean buddy!

Crap, Guys. Paul Newman was driving a GT1 Corvette (and winning) when he was 82.
Jack Roush was crashing airplanes.

This is why I quit celebrating birthdays when I was 26.

Happy Birthday, early, Don! Hell 50 is nothing.

My ass is dragging good tonight, they don't need me tomorrow, we got all the trusses set, all they have to do is set the corners (hip roof) and the flunkies can do that because they can do it from ladders.

I didn't care much for 50, either, but I've gotten used to it, and the 5 years since have been a blur. I keep wondering who the old sumbitch staring at me in the mirror every morning is, though.

I got through the day without going to look at that C5 - think I'll forget about it and just focus on the one I have. Adding another car here would be like a parking musical chairs nightmare.

Ah, Brad, now you have to look for a lower price, like $26,9 with 10k miles.

Sharp! But if I did get one, it would have to be a 'vert with an automatic. But I think I'll treat mine to some Banski suspension pieces, some bushings and maybe a new paint job for the bumper and hood instead. And maybe get around to having a canvas top made to cover the targa bars ;-)
