Good Morning CGs!

Well, I'm a little sluggish this morning. My cousin's gf threw him a surprise bday party last night at a lounge/bar near their house, about a half an hour from me. We went out and had some dinner and a couple drinks and it was nice. Watched a bit of the UFC fight. Started getting loud and crowded and was definitely time to cut out. Plus I have to work so staying out drinking doesn't work too well with that. Still a good time overall. Made it home kind of late, but I should be ok.

How was everyone's weekend so far?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Wife is on a working marathon. Today is day 14. She did take the morning off Thursday so we celebrated our 26th Anniversry with a fishing trip. We had dinner with another couple the night before whose anniversary just happens to be one day before ours. I bought my wife a nice gold diamond studded butterfly to commemorate our 26th anniversary. Not too pricey. For my wife, every anniversary is a gold anniversary. LOL.
Went to a local car show last night. We had some showers so that impacted the turnout. We went anyway. Met a guy that had an 81 911 for sale for 12K. It was clean and was priced right. His brother came over and joined us. The brother had a 96 C4 CE. Ended up hangin with him for a while checkin out each others ride. Of course I referred him to our world renowned web site. I'm just starting with today. No plan yet. I'm workin on it. More coffee needed .........

Good morning....we have a house full here, at least for a couple more hours. Oldest daughter and family headed for the mountains later. The wife and I are headed over to the "city" for a nice Sunday brunch, a movie and a nights stay. Our 35th anniversary is tomorrow. On Weds we are headed out to the mountains as well. I need to start thinking about what to take and how to pack the Corvette.

We are going to try and take a little tour drive while out there. Going to drive up the "Million Dollar Highway". It's about an hours drive from our condo unit to Durango where we can head north on the MDH and then it's another 60-70 north to Ouray. I'll try to take some pictures.

Happy anniversaries to Tommy and teebee! You can never go too wrong with jewelry ;-)

I slept in, was up past my bedtime. We went to a cruise-in in Hastings, MN with some friends - they have one every other Saturday during the summer. Always fun to see the old cars, and they usually draw a few hundred of them.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Good lawd, it is hot out! It's 92 with oppressive humidity and blazing sun - weather.com says the "feels like" temp is 102, I say more like 202 :-P

Happy anniversaries, guys.

Sitting here waiting for it to cool down a bit before I run. I'm looking up fancy socks to buy that are supposed to be better by keeping your feet dry. Technology ain't cheap, either!

It's hot here also. It was my turn to usher at Church today so I took the Vette early. I had bought one of those cling on sun filters for my bronze see through roof. When Church was over I opened up the car and couldn't figure out who threw a trash bag in my car. It turned out to be the sun filter. Nice! It had been working well and I was thinking it was $29 well spent bucks. Now I'm bummed! Oh yeah it works good just don't let the sun shine on your car. I think I'll send it back.

When I was at the Black Hills Corvette Classic, they were giving out sun shades for your windshield - they're pretty slick, fold down to something smaller than a frisbee. Anyway, I had never used one before, and was astounded at how much cooler it kept the car.

Bill - there are a dozen brands out there of moisture wicking socks. Most are around 8-12 a pair but supposedly last a long time. I've got to try some as I increase the distance of my runs. If you just go to yahoo and type in "best running socks" you'll get 1,000,000 hits.

I've had this one 5 years, still looks brand new, folds up into an 8 inch disc.
