Great day to be alive, just like every other day you open your eyes. Today you can get something done. Today you can check something off the list and later add a few more things. The never ending list. The list that will still be when you no longer are. Have a great day everyone. Do something.

Morning .....it's Friday! Not much here today. I'll get something done, go to school and teach those little boogers something. Grandson was a force again in the football game last night and middle grandson has a game tomorrow, so Saturday morning (at least) is shot.

All this talk about getting stuff done has me feeling like I need a nap. And the Vikings suck.

Enjoy your Friday!

Good Morning CGs!

Neighbor gave me a ring last night and had a few 2x4s for me. Said he wanted to start on my garage shelving project tonight. So I have to move everything off the one wall (which should take a couple of hours) and then draw up a crude sketch of what I want. Shouldn't be too bad. Lots of car junk to move, though.

Today is a "recovery day" for me. No running or lifting today so I can rest a little for my 5k race tomorrow. Looking forward to that.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Probably way less junk than I moved.
Remove the junk from one wall (now you can't get the C4 back in).
Stare at the wall and figure out where the shelves go.
Put up the shelves,
Put the junk back on the shelves nice and neat.
Stare at the shelves.
Think: "Damn, I need more shelves."

I'm gonna blow off garage cleaning and shelf building. Headed out to help put a roof on a steel building that's replacing the one where my friends machine shop burnt down.

I'm not real thrilled. The peaks on the steel beams are 30 ft. high and the metal roof panels have to be lifted with a crane. I'm really hoping there's no wind.

Maybe you can spot for the crane operator safely from the ground.

That would be better. Maybe they'll let me run the crane.

What a coincidence - I found a video of Bill running the crane:
