Wow, Bob, I never thought I'd see this day! Good luck with your sale on a very nice car.

Thanks for kind words guys.

My reason for selling is twofold, with the same goal. Some of you may remember a good friend of mine died in March of '09. After helping his only living relative, his Dad, I was able to buy his '68 Chevelle, SS396. With Scott's failing health over the years, a once very evil Chevelle fell into a great deal of disrepair and neglect. It's in memory of the friendship I had with Scott for 30 years that I want to do this. The 2nd part of my reason is that since before I could drive, it's been a dream of mine to take a car all the way down and restify it, my way. While some guys can afford multiple projects/toys, sadly, I cannot.
It's like having my wife AND two girlfriends. That is why I'm selling. For one of you guys, I'd prolly help as much as I could with getting the car to you.

Ending up with one of these is a worthy goal.

Bob - that's a noble reason. I remember when you first posted the pics up of your friend's former car. Good luck with everything and don't be a stranger!

Matt hit the perfect phrase - "Noble Reason."

Good luck with this. I hope you get the right price and are able to restore the SS.

The right price is somewhat negotiable, but I'm certainly NOT gonna give the car away. What's the worst that could happen, I get "stuck" with a Chevelle AND a Vette?

Hey Bob, good luck. Chevelle's have always been my favorites too. A close 2nd to owning a Corvette. If you get it, keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks Rick,
Of all the cars I've ever owned, my C4 is the one I wanted the most. It's been so cool to see it in the garage,
or waiting for me at work at the end of the day. It's an absolute blast to drive, and for a guy that's never accomplished much in life, it feels kinda good to answer THE question, "Yes, I have one, it's an '88". It's a bittersweet thing to let it go, but as I stated in other posts, sometimes this is needed to be able to move toward other goals.

Not yet. My daughter wants to pose with it for her senior class photos next week. Then I'll get more active in selling it.

Good luck on the sale...youll love the 68 SS badazz car. Big Block torque is addicting.
