OK Tommy!

Sorry didn't mean to wake her.
Have a great day sir!

I'm just getting moving myself. A little slow on the draw. I'm supposed to go visit my mom & dad today, but I feel like crap. Maybe too many glasses of wine last night.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all!
As of last weekend, I had 4 large projects slated for Nov and Dec. qws - engine, Mike V - engine, BigGrizzly - transmission, Mike V - transmission.
qws loaded his up last night, so 3 to go.
I will be working on the bottom end of Mike's 383 today. Still waiting on heads, so sorta on schedule.
Happy Sunday.

Good morning guys.....I slept in a bit. Supposed to be a great day here. I think I'm going to put up the Christmas lights, it should only take me about an hour. Then I'm going to pack for my trip to KC. The wife and I talked about the washing machine, I think we are going to buy the LG front loader. They have a washing machine in stock, but the dryer they have to order in. They have an electric dryer on hand but we use a gas dryer. We may go over and get that today so I can get it installed.

You guys have a great day. Tommy don't eat too much and Don, lay off the wine today.

Good Morning CGs!

Ahhh, yes, Tommy is celebrating the traditional Sunday Hungarian Thanksgiving...where the Hungarians invaded Turkey and celebrated by eating goulash.

Here the sky is overcast but will be in the upper 50s today. I got some winter fertilizer put on the lawn yesterday, I might try to clean up the lawn furniture today.

I stopped by Rick's last night and helped him take apart the trans. He already had it out of the car so we it on the lift with a makeshift table and started taking it apart. He was kind enough to teach me the parts he was removing. I have to say I'm not as intimidated by a trans rebuild anymore, just seeing how the parts come apart. I think when mine goes again behind this monster motor I'll rebuild it myself.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

The foot of snow we were supposed to get last nite turned out to be only 2 inches so I don't get to try out my new, used snownlower.

My abrasive blast cabinet has a small leak, got a pile of glass beads on the floor. So, I have a small project in the shop before I can get back on the C2 parts.

That would be at my mothers. This is Nana, the 95 y/o living at an assisted living facility. She doesn't care what day it is as long as somebody comes to visit.I guess they do it today so the families can do their own Thanksgiving thing on Thursday.

Which reminds me. We'll be having our Thanksgiving dinner at 4:30 PM at the Micosoukee Indian Casino Buffet. We put about 5 tables together. Eat everything in sight then leave. No cooking, no clean up, no fuss. About 2 to 3 hours of conversation, then

Howdy! Delightful day here, and looks like it will become even more delightful. We had freezing rain last night, so there are over 400 accidents so far. They say it will thaw a bit later, and then re-freeze, followed with a nice helping of snow on top. Then by Friday we will have overnight temps in the single digits. I am sofa king excited! Kill me now.

My sister sent me a cute Thanksgiving story:
===============================================
For those of you who are coming to our place for Thanksgiving dinner- Martha Stewart ain’t gonna be here! I’m telling you in advance, so don’t act surprised. Since Ms. Stewart won’t be coming, I’ve made a few small changes:

Our sidewalk will not be lined with homemade, paper bag luminaries. After a trial run, it was decided that no matter how cleverly done, rows of flaming lunch sacks do not have the desired welcoming effect.

Once inside, our guests will note that the entry hall is not decorated with the swags of Indian corn and fall foliage I had planned to make. Instead, I’ve gotten the kids involved in the decorating by having them track in colorful autumn leaves from the front yard. The mud was their idea.

The dining table will not be covered with expensive linens, fancy china, or crystal goblets. If possible, we will use dishes that match and everyone will get a fork. Since this IS Thanksgiving, we will refrain from using the plastic Peter Rabbit plate and the Santa napkins from last Christmas.

Our centerpiece will not be the tower of fresh fruit and flowers that I promised. Instead we will be displaying a hedgehog-like decoration hand-crafted from the finest construction paper. The artist assures me it is a turkey.

We will be dining fashionably late. The children will entertain you while you wait. I’m sure they will be happy to share every choice comment I have made regarding Thanksgiving, pilgrims and the turkey hot line. Please remember that most of these comments were made at 5:00 a. m. upon discovering that the turkey was still hard enough to cut diamonds.

As accompaniment to the children’s recital, I will play a recording of tribal drumming. If the children should mention that I don’t own a recording of tribal drumming, or that tribal drumming sounds suspiciously like a frozen Turkey in a clothes dryer, ignore them. They are lying.

We toyed with the idea of ringing a dainty silver bell to announce the start of our feast. In the end, we chose to keep our traditional method. We’ve also decided against a formal seating arrangement.. When the smoke alarm sounds, please gather around the table and sit where you like.

In the spirit of harmony, we will ask the children to sit at a separate table. In a separate room. Next door.

Now, I know you have all seen pictures of one person carving a turkey in front of a crowd of appreciative onlookers. This will not be happening at our dinner. For safety reasons, the turkey will be carved in a private ceremony. I stress “private” meaning: Do not, under any circumstances enter the kitchen to laugh at me. Do not send small, unsuspecting children to check on my progress. I have an electric knife. The turkey is unarmed. It stands to reason that I will eventually win. When I do, we will eat.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind my young diners that “passing the rolls” is not a football play. Nor is it a request to bean your sister in the head with warm tasty bread.

Before I forget, there is one last change Instead of offering a choice between 12 different scrumptious desserts, we will be serving the traditional pumpkin pie, garnished with whipped cream and small fingerprints. You will still have a choice; take it or leave it.

Martha Stewart will not be dining with us this year. She probably won’t come next year either. I am thankful.

The Mrs. tells me that some guy from the MN Dept. of Transportation said this is the worst ice storm he's ever seen. He's either very young, or this is some bad shit, as I've seen some horrendous ones. Good day to hunker down inside.

Your a better man than I Gunga Brad! I'm suprized you aren't on your way south with the rest of the snowbirds.

Woke up this morning uneasy, partly due to the outcome of the Husker game last night. We now know who the 12th man is, he's wearing a striped shirt and a white hat! We could have won anyway but didn't. Went downstairs to let the dog out of his kennel and stepped into 2 inches of water all over the basement.

So for the next 4 hours we with the help of 2 shop vacs and a sump pump to empty them with got the mess cleaned up.

What happened you say? Seems while winterizing the ourdoor faucets I opened the one on the deck to which the water supply had been shut off! I knew this because no water came out. Until the ice melted in the line under the deck and the water started to run all night and finally backed up in the window well and into the basement. Nuts!

We are on our own well and while winterizing the lawn sprinklers I thought I'd shut off the water to the ourdoor faucets. Remind me to check that next time.

I'm going to watch some football!! Have a good day guys and gals. Hey the carpets needed cleaning anyway right?

Hide in the closet. Very rare here. Nothing like what you guys get. Usually just knocks over some trees, tears up trailers and aluminum carports and is gone in a flash. There was one guy up by Miami that built his own secret basement. Can you say hydroponics?
